1. Plan towards it
2. Be Frugal and minimal on spending ( don't buy why you don't need)
3. Save money towards retirement
(Roth IRA/401k)
4. Build an emergency fund
5. Invest! Save to invest this is most important because it's a proven way to get richer. Very important to financial success

The Camden Buckhead apartment look really nice, clean, and fits my style. But since I'm planning to move back Atlanta from NYC, I won't have a car immediately and Buckhead is very far from my home church in Kirkwood.
