I absolutely love operation trebuchet. I loved the older halos and when I first discovered operation trebuchet and realized I could play Halo in Arma I was on board all the way
you need to mention TIOW2 when you mention TIOW, Panzer left the team leaving it to Gorechild who couldn't update the base TIOW mod (steam weirdness) so he had to make a add-on/update mod for it. also for mod pairing with Tiow/tiow2 i totally recommend Webknights Improved Melee system with its own add-on content Mighty Dreadnoughts, (TIOW) Space Marine Melee and IMS: Warhammer. and for generally cool stuff like fortifications and baneblade add Xemio's Re-Fortification Mod 40K to the modlist too (its got a big update coming with a ton of new and cool stuff.. trust me).
Nothing beats the time i played an OPTRE Milsim/Liberation group as a pilot. I cannot express how much i love HALO's vehicle design and nothing made me happier than being able to drop troops in with falcons and giving support in hornets.

There is JM effect which is exactly the same thing, npcs and all but I it was flagged for copyright and stuff, however it is still there on the workshop if you want to try it out. Edit: the Opposition discord has MEOP for download there also, as well as nexus mods

Two things: 1) I didn't know the drama behind the mod (I don't inject myself into that side of the community) but I do appreciate the comment for awareness sake. 2) This is an objective look at that mod and where I felt it placed. There's always some drama with modders and someone is butthurt/has something stolen/he said/she said/etc, which makes it impossible to please everyone. I already know I won't please everyone with a selection of mods, but I do appreciate you bringing this up for others' sake.
Agreed. Opposition's practices are shady, they've killed at least one major SW mod by stealing from it every time it updated, and almost all of what they've "made" is actually just ripped assets from older game - the compliment for how "dirty" and used things look is really a compliment for the original game devs who made the content for other games, not the SWOP team. If "wah arma modder drama" isn't a good enough reason, then simply that half of the things in it don't function correctly or are functionally useless should be reason enough. There are better SW conversion mods out there at this point, made from the ground up, and with far higher quality.
@@Viper1Zero Assuming you mean from other games, then a consistent amount of content from SWOP (including their old lead, JMax, who uses ripped assets in his new Long Live the Empire mod) comes from EA's Battlefront 1 and 2. The issue with their content is that the models/textures are ripped, while the scripts are lackluster. This means a lot of it looks very pretty, but barely functions. In terms of other modders, SWOP infamously caused the shutdown of the Imperial Assault mod because they stole every update they put out. If you're looking for a good SW mod I would recommend looking at Legion Base or Just Like the Simulations. Those mods are smaller in scope (since they're made largely from scratch as opposed to ripping assets from BF1/2) but are higher quality as a whole.
It also has robbed about the same amount of assets from other games and devs. 90% of its assets were ripped and badly imported from EAs SW Battlefront 1 and SW Battlefront 2 and its bad coding results in massive performance issues. Go play Legion Studios or JLTS mods instead those guys made their stuff 100% themselfes instead of stealing from others.

Star War Opposition from what i heard was dead, and as a former user due to my time in GARC specifically the 501st and 101st respectively and both plus the other member units moved from it and i have yet as a small time unit CO have not encountered any other units still using it

I don't know why you picked Faces of War over IFA 3. IFA 3 is actually still updated pretty regularly unlike Faces of War. Like IFA 3 was updated in October 2021, I don't even know when the last time Faces of War was updated. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it's a dead mod.

A mod that can generate missions for you is dynamic recon ops. Although with mods that overhaul the character model such as operation trebuchets Spartans dynamic recon ops doesn't really work sadly.
Man the only problem I ran into is that Star Wars need ACE.. and ACE SUCKS ASS... it has wrecked so many of the missions I made and lost hours of work because they SUCK!!

Thanks man! I use Blastcore compiled by neetch primarily. Murr edition is awesome, but kills FPS because its trying to do to much.

Use 3Den Enhanced mod. It enables the ambient animations in the unit's attributes, and you can select tons of "standing" and "relaxed" type poses.

All ArmA 3 soundtrack. The music during CWRIII was Operation Flashpoint music from 2001.
