I was beginning to become so jaded with the previous slew of stars turning to Christmas music. The songs were so insipid and lifeless, lacking that essence of Christmas. Then Sam bursts back in to my conciousness with this absolute barnstormer of a Christmas song thats crammed full of festive goodness! Hate to say it but i absolutely love it! Previously to this, my only favourite 'current' Christmas song was 'Underneath The Tree' by Kelly Clarkson.
Such a shame it wasn’t available to stream more widely, this deserved to be the 2023 Christmas number one and would have gone down as a classic in 10 or 20 years’ time as you can hear the influence of the great hits that came before it.
