Hey man, have the exact same air conditioner, it was absolutely overrun with black mold for so long and didn't know what to do. This showed me how easy it was, i cleaned all the plastic parts and sprayed the inside with vinegar, looks 1000x better, thank u

Thank you so much I finally got to clean all the black mold out that I couldn’t get to before and disinfected the whole thing. They all smell so much better now, and I don’t have to worry as much with my severe asthma. I subscribed ❤️

I leave this exact A/C in the window during a Canadian winter. Do you recommend any good inside covers to prevent drafts?

Try dissolved baking soda instead. Mold and mildew hate alkaline enviroments. They like slight acidity.

    What about the front vent

This is a nightmare for me. I have the same exact air conditioner. It’s about seven years old. I can clean all those vents like you said and put my hand back there. I can’t even reach the blades to clean those off and I can’t take apart the air conditioner from the back, it’s too hard for me. I don’t know what to do. I was able to put my hand back there a little bit and get a couple of blades with Lysol wipes, but not everything. Should I just go to Home Depot and buy very thin filters and put it on top of the vents that blow the air in the house so I don’t get any dirt or possible mold in the house?

Use a tool like pliers just for grip, dont pull too hard but change the angle ur pulling from, i found it was easier to pull out towards the end far sides of the unit as opposed to the middle

Mine had some little tabs on the inside you kind of had to move to the left or right first then the other side
