  • This creamy taro milk bubble tea is made with real taro, sweetened condensed coconut milk, and soft yet chewy homemade brown sugar boba. Real taro root gives this classic milk tea a fresh, slightly nutty taste that is so refreshing! Add in jasmine tea or black tea for another layer of deep flavor. This milk tea is dairy free and vegan.

Hello! I tried this and it turned out pretty good!
Just one tip is that if you don't want your drink extremely sweet, avoid adding the condensed milk because the brown sugar syrup sweetens the drink by itself. And my boba took 10 more mins to cook as it was of a different brand, so follow the instructions on the package for perfectly cooked boba.
Hope your drink turns out great! :)

I have never tried Taro root boba but when I tried my Jap Matcha boba it wasn't as sweet I had to add 2 spoonfuls of sugar the only sweet flavour I found was the boba. I think the flavour I tried itself wouldn't be much sweet as it's matcha and supposed to be a bit bitter

Hi! If you check the link in the description and go to the recipe card you'll see the quantities. You need 2 tsp of sugar for the paste.

I found mine at my local grocery store in the produce section, but you can also easily find it at your local Asian Market.

The one she is using is called Eddo. Taro is bigger. I grew up planting this root crops back in Philippines. This is one of our staple food.
