I love how after the final attack, we the first time super sonic has been legit hurt, like, we’ve seen super sonic exhausted or knocked back before, but Super Sonic has always been invincible so long as he got rings. To have something actually give him that hard a fight even in a powered up super form goes so hard.
The Reason sonic was clean and fine after the super transformation is because the emeralds bring you back to your best condition after usage Atleast thats what I remember
Not only that, but he receives a boost after usage. It explains in the comics against Scourge that the Chaos Emeralds grants him a boost in base form. While in Scourge's case, even if he had a boost from the master emerald; he went out of super form and was completely powered out since he was using (I think is called) Anarchy Beryl.
11:50 The reason why it showed you dying in the cutscene is because you didnt have enough rings to survive The Ends attack. The End takes Sonic out of his Super form to drain his rings and bring him down to 100, so if you have anything less than that, then you die.
i like to believe that sonic was representing Goku with Giganto, Vegeta with Wyvern, Trunks with Knight and Vegetto with The End (by the poses and attacks he do against them)

If they incorporated Sage’s sacrifice somehow in this ending in order to create an opportunity for the combined forces of egg man and sonic would have made this ending perfect. It would have given an explanation for Sonic to go beyond SS2 at the end. This is still better than the original ending.
Sage’s sacrifice wasn’t needed and still isn’t in my opinion. Her character arc didn’t need to end with her sacrificing herself it doesn’t really do any for the story.
That ending reminded me of so much shit put together. It reminded me of Nazo Unleashed when everyone works together to beat Hyper Nazo at the end, it reminded me of Unleashed when Super Sonic ran out of power at the end of the fight, it reminded me of Sonic X when Sonic would kill the Meterex by shooting him self out of a canon and also when he did it Super with Shadow and his Final fanged Cyber form that showed up briefly reminded me of Fleeteay Sonic. I also like how Eggman actually helped out in the fight. Though I agree this boss definitely could’ve benefited from Eggman and Sage telling you wtf is going on instead of having to rely on the internet
The game would have ended with Sonic having called out to the will of all the Ancients and Koco left in Cyber Space, and absorbing the remaining energy to transform his Super State into Hyper Sonic. However, the idea was rejected.
When bro started screaming when Super Sonic started powering up like..... Yes. Will the entire fan base please stand up. 😂 I think I was louder than he was. What a moment for fans 🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡
If you were wondering why you were sidestepping, and you didn't lock on into his charger, that's because you had your camera locked onto your current target (his head), you were pressing R3 on accident.

put the stupid and non titan supreme fight before this all this was not the real fight against supreme that was just a distracion level of the other titans in sonic s base form you remember the titans sonic find the titans and he tries to fight in his base form but he can t win so he escape and go get the chaos esmeralds so this supreme fight was just like that and the real fight against supreme begins when the end arrives and transforms supreme to have multiple arms and start to controling him and you turn super sonic 2 to fight him this is the real fight a titan fight
I'm glad you were also like "what is wrong with them" for the sidestep thing. like thats an optional thing you can do with knight but literally nothing else in any of the titan battles prepares you for sidestepping at all. like why make it mandatory here lol besides that best super sonic fight of all time easily
Even though the final battle is the coolest shit I’ve ever seen in a Sonic game, it’s janky as all hell and is in dire need of an update. That aside, I’ve said it many times in the past and I’ll say it again: Sonic is always at his peak when he goes full shonen mode. I can’t even imagine what crazy ride we’ll be in for when Frontiers 2 becomes a thing.
Probably will talk more about it in another vid but the blue eyes with a different aura doesn’t really do much for me. Now whatever that was at the end? I need that lmaooo wish that form was act playable and not locked to a cutscene
I'm at 7:00. Rant incoming: Dodging and Guarding (It's not a real parry if you can hold it and don't have to time it to an attack) are one of the first things you learn in this game. And not that long after you learn how useless dodging is. Because the Guard does everything. You don't need to time it. There aren't unblockables or openings that require dodging (shout out to KH3 Remind). You can hold it for like a minute. It stops all your air momentum, allowing you to float for a minute, aka cheese the jump rope challenges. And of course, it reflects projectiles and deflects physical attacks, staggering enemies and possibly opening them up to a Grand Slam. There is NEVER a reason to use the dodge over the guard, and it's understandable if you forgot the game even had a dodge. So why then, if your DLC final boss, do you lock progression and beatability of the fight behind this basically useless action, after overshadowing it even more by putting so much attention on the broken action by creating numerous trials based around it, including one meant to foreshadow the "upgrade" to it for this boss fight that you'd think would be the key to victory given the narrative importance on it? As a matter of fact, why do you need to dodge in the first place to change Sonic's lock-on target? Instead of just moving to a different position where you're closer to the cord and can hit that instead? Because that's how targeting worked throughout the rest of the game and with the rest of the Titans, including the previous phase of this one. And here's the messed up thing: This is seemingly an intentional mechanic. Because you can do the same thing with the Knight. Hit his shield, dodge, and suddenly you can start punching him behind the shield, skipping the cool shield surf scene. But this is completely optional, nothing at all hints that you can do this, and I'm pretty sure this is the only instance in the game where you can do something like this. So they expect you to use an action you likely forgot about because it has no practical use over the Guard, and do a thing with it that you likely had no idea about given it only ever came up ONCE as an OPTIONAL and CRYPTIC solution to skipping a phase of a previous boss. Instead of something sensible like, oh I don't know, using the main gimmick of the game: The Cyloop. Or maybe using the narrative power up your spent a good amount training to unlock. Or use some combination of those to access a Grand Slam/cool cinematic attack someone spent their time animating that would loosen the cord until it eventually came off. Or F that and just do the cryptic crap, then spam OP attacks (Stomp loops and X-Slash infinites) with your maxed out ATK stat (because none of the other stats were ever worth upgrading) like you've been doing. What should've been a sick, climatic fight to cap the game off with instead of the Not Touhou shooter (which I still stand by on being the best fight in the game) is either literally impossible if you don't know the cryptic gimmick, and is no better than a regular enemy or Guardian when you do since you can 100 to 0 it in a few seconds. The only thing I won't complain about is Cylooping the gun. Because you can actually lock onto it by moving near it, and it expects you to use the central gimmick of the game. That puzzle actually makes sense and isn't cryptic nonsense you would need a miracle to figure out on your own. Deadass, how'd they make this Supreme fight WORSE than the previous one? Needing to take hits to trigger QTEs to shatter the turrets and disable its arbitrary invul is stupid, but that's much more reasonable to figure out than dodging out of an attack to lock onto something else you weren't able to lock onto normally. When the game has never even hinted at this mechanic outside of, again, ONE fight as an OPTIONAL method to skip a phase, and invalidated the dodge altogether by having the parry being a swiss army knife that does everything except your taxes. Also forgot to mention that the balls reduce your max Ring Count, actually damaging Super Sonic in some way and reducing the time you can spend trying to figure out the cryptic BS. And WHEN you die, you gotta refight Supreme 1 again.
@@allmightytony77 Yeah, but Sonic Team seems to be scared about retrying anything that failed before. Just look how long it took to have more characters again. Really though, they probably just forgot

BRO WENT SSJ BLUE AT THE END HOLY FUCK
They made a ring check without showing your ring count which is just unfortunate. If they have the ring counter up while the ring check cutscene is playing that would be a super cool moment and so much less confusing
So true
i still have yet to update my frontiers atm.
im just happy for the hard mode parry.
im gonna go wild on it
You poor soul🤕
just beat it and uhh.
i did the 5th trial first try-
@@LocalTrapTV
1:11 Eggman about to end up 6 feet under
On me 😡
12:17 that caught me off guard, at least I'll know what happens until i get to that phase, if i can beat those trials thats mad difficult
11:34 - 11:38 that synchronize moment
*Chief kiss*
Everyone here saying this was fire and it was yes.., This is much better then it was before..
But this must be the most confusing and clunky boss fight i’ve ever laid my eyes on and you can’t tell me otherwise..
I somewhat agree. They nailed the cutscenes, music etc but it is a bit clunky. The developpers need to be better at making 3d games
Yea literally bro ima keep it real the last stretch of this update really made me realize how clunky these fights are and with zero direction to unlike past games. I don’t what happened here but I hope they’re better in the next game. (ALSO SONIC TEAM WHY YOU MAKE ME TRY TO PERFECT PARRY WYVERN THAT BOSS IS ASSSSSS)
@@LocalTrapTVWYVERN IS THE BEST BOSS THO, FIGHT ME GRAHHHH
@@LocalTrapTV yeah man, like you said in the video the only changes that need to made is making the trees teansparent and having voices tell yoh what to do.
@@theidiotanimator1345 you know it’s funny you say this because on stream I said Wyvern lowkey is my favorite… ofc that was before I had to perfect parry him 😭🤕

14:47 ok that has to be a sign of fleetway (or not idk)
that is cyber super sonic and also this is banger ngl
If they incorporated Sage’s sacrifice somehow in this ending in order to create an opportunity for the combined forces of egg man and sonic would have made this ending perfect. It would have given an explanation for Sonic to go beyond SS2 at the end. This is still better than the original ending.
Sage’s sacrifice wasn’t needed and still isn’t in my opinion. Her character arc didn’t need to end with her sacrificing herself it doesn’t really do any for the story.
This final boss went full anime and I love it 😂
Boss looks elite asf, too bad I missed the final boss cuz my ass was slumped lmaooo
5:04 is the coolest sync music is clean as fire🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
IDW readers u know what pose this is.....
Definitely 🔥🔥🔥
When sonic went into the cannon i said
ARE WE ABOUT TO SONIC X HIM
The game would have ended with Sonic having called out to the will of all the Ancients and Koco left in Cyber Space, and absorbing the remaining energy to transform his Super State into Hyper Sonic. However, the idea was rejected.
"He took your homeworld! He took your lives! Are you going to let it happen all over again? I need your help. We can do this! Please!"
Dude if hyper came back I would legit lose my mind
Everyone thought SS2 was lame, now look at them, they all got grand slammed, GOTC (century) in my heart
No trust me I tried everything to lock on I had to side stepped it
@@LocalTrapTV I know I know, I saw your video, but you had accidentally locked your target into Giganto's head, that blue arrow tells you when you're locked into an enemy. That's the thingy they showed in the tutorial.
@@Asurilm ah I see wym
Ye ye, for example, try going to any enemy and press R3, no matter how hard you try, you won't be able to lock into another one unless you press it again.@@LocalTrapTV
Bruh i had to put that master king trial on easy mode. I feel your pain😭
Fight itself is obviously better, I just miss the music and dialogue of the original personally I can’t lie. I see why others would prefer the orchestral tho. Also this update is brutal in difficulty ☠️ but we made it through 🫡
I *especially* missed the ends dialog. The first time it filled me with Dread and anxiety.
THIS UPDATE IS SO GOATED
Ian Flynn worked his magic once again.
Bruh this new update was crazy. I enjoyed it 😂
I was enjoying it… then it PISSED ME OFF… then it showed me cool Super Sonic stuff😀👍🏽(I’m still pissed😭)
Better than the original one, the only problem is the part where You have to cyloop supreme's gun because the game dosen't tell you what to do in that part and you get stuck, even Though this final boos is sick
Facts
I mean, Sonic kinda did the same thing to Knight’s sword, it wasn’t very hard to figure out what you had to do to the gun
@@ycopealyeah but you've always had to do a quick cyloop during the fights, no other boss told us to do a full one
@@darkmatter1721 you can quick cyloop the gun, but if you don’t have the quick one, it’s very obvious you’ll have to manually cyloop it. Ngl I would have the other characters giving clues about what you have to do.
That was so much hype 🔥🔥🔥😭
Awesome video bro keep it up
9:32
This had me crying cuz the first game that came to mind that they did this faithfully in was sonic hero's 💀💀aside from that though great Gameplay 👏🏾
at the end it gave me Sonic X vibes
They did fucking hyper/fleetway AND cyber corruption for cyber sonic
5:53 absolute badass
put the stupid and non titan supreme fight before this all this was not the real fight against supreme that was just a distracion level of the other titans in sonic s base form you remember the titans sonic find the titans and he tries to fight in his base form but he can t win so he escape and go get the chaos esmeralds so this supreme fight was just like that and the real fight against supreme begins when the end arrives and transforms supreme to have multiple arms and start to controling him and you turn super sonic 2 to fight him this is the real fight a titan fight
I had a fucking stroke trying to read this shit

I'm glad you were also like "what is wrong with them" for the sidestep thing. like thats an optional thing you can do with knight but literally nothing else in any of the titan battles prepares you for sidestepping at all. like why make it mandatory here lol
besides that best super sonic fight of all time easily
I agree 1,000% I could’ve used better words but I was play at 6am 😭
@@LocalTrapTV nah dw i got exactly what you meant!
7:46 i’ve been stuck here do i just press R1 ?
Yes press it mid combo
the new form is fleetway sonic is back sega made it canon a fleetway super sonic
The new final boss is basicly goku vs ten tailed beast and im all for it
Now they need to fix infinite final fight
😂😂 they need to fix forces all together

@@LocalTrapTV ya I agree
14:47 Is that....
Fleetways EYES!!!...
I'm at 7:00. Rant incoming:
Dodging and Guarding (It's not a real parry if you can hold it and don't have to time it to an attack) are one of the first things you learn in this game.
Sega’s gonna Sega 😵💫
Super Sonic 2: "YOSHA!"
YESSSS 🔥🔥
It’s way harder than original one!
5:04 also badass
I’m still trying to find a gif of that parry
