Glad to see you out and about. That was my families stomping grounds back in the 60's. Spent a few camping trips at Twin Lakes back then. Dad retired to Yerington so I know the area. I am "stuck" in CO looking at one of those ugly 14000 foot mountains out my front door. Ha. Safe travels.
You guys I love the talking head vids mostly bc Dan has a wicked dry sense of humor and Jen is the sweetest person. BUT this kind of vid is my all time favorite
Once saw a kid illegally snagging Rainbow planters off the docks at Twin Lakes, then, also, illegally selling them. 😂 Love the 395 side. Thanks for showing it.
bill in phoenix. thank you so much, i love all the view of the lakes. i lived in the flat lands all my life, and when i go out side and see the mountains so cool to see. but not when 110 out! love you guys, make moor vids
So have you guys ever been to Devil’s Postpile? It’s a jumping off area to the Ansel Adams Wilderness. Really nice rustic camping there as well as a “resort” at Red’s Meadow which has some cabins, a cafe, and a small general store. It’s accesses by a road from Mammoth Lakes (at the end of the road by the ski area). My scout troop took a 50 mile hike through the area in the sixties when it was called Minarets Wilderness. And yes, there’s som good fishing up there, both stream and lake.
Thank you for this video! It brought back wonderful memories when my family would load up the car & camp at Upper Twin Lakes. Our drive over the Sonora Pass was always breath taking & beautiful. I miss that area so much! My dad loved to fish the Walker river. Got a little teary eyed seeing it all again.
We lived stationed in Fallon in the early 80's and have loved going to Walker River and we camped at Topez Lake! Love that area and we use to trout fish in the East Walker river and had for our breakfast.... we had a 24ft MH with a generator then! Hope to visit that area again soon ... thanks for sharing!
Really pretty video shots you shared. Tx is forecasted for 104 degrees in a couple of days. The days of Hot and Humid summer are early and coming on strong. Lol...miracle mile was a country road when I grew up and had a total different connotation to the name miracle mile.....Team Outside Dan & Jen have not shown up lately either...Awesome shot of the bald Eagle! Too funny you made me want to count the number of times you said B-Roll 🤣
91 degrees in the coach?! 😱 Oregon coast w/ hookups is sounding wonderful for you two after surviving the early heatwave. What a beautiful area you guys are from. Thanks for getting us *virtually* out of the house.
Yep, 97 water year had historic river levels in a few rivers. shows how dynamic the wild side of natural processes can be. Twin lakes reminds me of a trip to... Love seeing an occasional post card edition.
Hello from Okinawa, Japan. How nice to go back to the place you spent your wedding night. We’ve never been to this area even though Jarhead was stationed in Yuma a couple of times. We will have to check it out when we head that way.
We will be at lower Twin for a couple of weeks in August. It's a shame that the county is keeping campgrounds closed. I understand they may be able to open up in the next week. We love Walker Burger too!
Welcome to south Texas, the Rio Grande Valley to be exact. We're gonna hir the triple digits this week. Growing up in the midwest I've paid my dues to the cold weather. My old bones can't handle the cold.
When I was stationed at Merced, every year when roads opened up we would take a drive to East side. One year we crossed Tioga Pass and there was still 8 feet of snow.
One of the best things. about Colorado is its nowhere near California, however Shasta lake and Whiskeytown are gorgeous (born in Co.might be partial too LOL)
Congrats! A great adventure vid!!! Sweet!
Best video you guys ever done...

The Mountains in Colorado are very beautiful.
My favorite places in the world on the eastern Sierras. I will be up there in August. Can't wait.
Yay Battle Born!
Great to see you outside. Looks beautiful, makes me want to get out camping. Living in Illinois among other things we do not have nice scenery.

We've been there several times. Fished the San Joaquin too. Nice area.

We ate in the Jeep by the river. Too hot to eat outside.

the only thing that kept me from living in bridgeport is because its in california
Yep. Plenty of amazing place in California to live but they're in California.
Loved it!
Good to see you’re getting outside again.

Beautiful! If God allows we will get out there one day (who knows with the craziness in the world today!) Thanks for showing the beauty of that area
I’ve been to Bridgeport for the 4th of July. I like it better the way it looked in your B roll.
Allergic to Cottonwoods! What kind of butterflies?
No idea.
Thought you were saying Waka burger 🍔 Lol 😂. Love your talks 😊🤟🏻😷💖
Nice to see u guys out. I was so glad I own several acres when I was home for 6 weeks. Stayed outside alot. It is so beautiful there.

QUESTION. How far is it near the Sierras, higher elevation and cooler temperatures?
David Kendall actually lower twin lake campground is at 7000’ already, so it’s really in the Sierras already.
I may need to watch this a few times. I love that this is like a travel log and I miss this area. Thanks Dan and Jen 😊
Welcome to south Texas, the Rio Grande Valley to be exact. We're gonna hir the triple digits this week. Growing up in the midwest I've paid my dues to the cold weather. My old bones can't handle the cold.
BEAUTIFUL Scenery!!! Would very much enjoy going there sometime 😊 Thank you so much 🤗 🤗
I do agree, for mountains in California are much nicer then Colorado
Isn’t there a famous ghost town in that area?
Bodie is just south of Bridgeport.
First summer we will not be at Twin Lakes and Crages campground. COVID go away!
So beautiful and clean! Hope to be able to see the western states soon.
Love that Walker Burger! Such a beautiful drive through there on 395.
Ever been to the "Surf Shop" up in Bridgeport? Interesting shop that far from the ocean...🤠👍
When I was stationed at Merced, every year when roads opened up we would take a drive to East side. One year we crossed Tioga Pass and there was still 8 feet of snow.
BEEN TO BRIDGEPORT BUT NOT WALKER ARE YOU HEAD TO BISHOP DIRECTION OR KEEP GOING WESTWARD
Walker is north of Bridgeport.
Love the eastern Sierra's!! We'll be at Silver lake, in the June lake loop in September. Can't wait. Great video. Safe travels.

Dan,
You need to just say yes dear, you're right as always dear.
LoL
Milk Shakes were mentioned so many times, I had to go out and get one.
“Brutal”. Your word not mine. 95? Really? But it’s a dry heat. The head is terminology for the Ba’ath room on a BOAT. You were NOT on a boat FYI
I mean, it's the not hell on earth that is Florida but it's still warm.
One of least favorite times of year is when the Cottonwood Trees start the allergy event 😢
:-)))) :-))))
Oh shit, you want amazing comments, I don't do amazing but I can fart in 3 languages...
#Houstoncheaters
Beautiful scenery.
