I am a FL dude but I respect other DAWS. I mean I started with Multitrack 20 years ago then months later I switch to FL. It all depends on the person and what they are confrontable with. Some people stick with one and some people like switching up. I say hey its music just have fun doing you. Great video bro youve taught me alot. Keep em coming.
I love how you learned what you did with the other daws. Personally as an FL user, I got to these conclusions through reading and watching other people use their daws. For example, I like to emulate the heat from protools with the Waves NLS. At times I have Softube Tape on my buses like you mentioned with Luna(Decapitator if I want to do it per channel like you said it works for CPU sake), and the routing in all of that is on the level of thinking you mentioned for Reason. I also love to pull up to studios and record into whatever the studio has as well. This audio world is so expansive.
@@diantem8235 man no lie. the crazy thing is that i have used some stock plugins in the last year that gave me even better results. but only because my skill on how to use them increased..
I think about this all the time! Each DAW suggests a different workflow. Each DAW proposes _their_ way of organizing your thoughts and how to get them down in the DAW. One one hand, given the same starting idea, I'm always curious where I'd end up in each DAW. Would I loop? Would I plan it out end to end? Which VSTs are easily available to me? How fast can I navigate through? Clips. Scenes. Producing. Mixing. Appreciate the message! Keep it up - I wanna keep a lookout for your next bit of inspiration!
If I was to ever switch daws it would be Luna or S1. I use PT. New engineers or Producers need to master 1 DAW first. And with Avid and Native Instruments collab my workflow is in a perfect space. By the way there is not Perfect DAW.
@@melodicauthority2390 u got me curious on Luna! I make beats in FL but record guitar and bass thru audio interface and want another daw for this and may go with Luna.
I’m an Ableton guy myself. It’s not perfect by any means but there’s so much you can do with it. It’s such a creative tool. I got Cubase after Ableton but never clicked with it so I’m sticking with Ableton. I’m intrigued by Luna but my workflow is so set in Ableton it might stifle my creativity.
I don't know if it has been mentioned yet but Logic finally has the ability to move around mixer channels just this week. Yeah it took a while but you can do it now.
I just recently upgraded from studio one 5 studio one 7.... Seals the deal for me.... And i'm coming from a background of using pro tools, f l studio and cibase.... But I know there are many other great DAWS out there
I used Fl studio for 10+ years, it’s my first DAW ever and it will always be special to me. But at the beginning of this year I started doing live shows and I needed to send artits vocals in separate track for a good audio in the venue. FL studio is very limited when it come to input output parameters. I tried Studio one, ableton again and finally Luna. Today I use Luna 90% of the time outside of maschine. I create all my beats on maschine, I make the arrangement then I export the audio to Luna to mix them. I mix and record on Luna it’s perfect for me and I get to use my SSL gear in the way it was intended to. I agree with this video, I know we get into DAW wars sometimes instead of being glad that we have so many options for all our different needs.
