Me personally as an occupational therapist I’m not understanding why a stroke patient a year after the stroke is unable to engage in sex? Is he not interested, is it a neurological challenge 2° to the CVA that’s impaired sensation down there? Because your husband is also an adult that hasn’t had sex for a year and I’m sure he’d like to. Speak to your husband and an OT/ sex therapist who can help you get back on track if it’s physically possible. I didn't have sex for 13 months with my partner and survived. Love your husband more. Focus on different goals, distract yourself, take your mind off it and only pleasure yourself when you really need it, keeping your mind and body on sex when you're not in that chapter of life rn is just gonna make you spiral and do something you regret.

So its best to consider worst-case scenarios and if you're willing to deal with them, and one of those scenarios is falling in love with the guy you're looking at sleeping with since you're entertaining thoughts of opening up your body to him already.
I couldnt agree more. Yeah, it might be okay with some people but I feel after so many years together you know what your partner would consider. And if before you've asked him, you're asking on a pod if you're asshole for cheating then its pretty clear. In 9/10 cases its a wrap on the marriage if shes having these thoughts after a year. I've been sick, my wife's been sick. We had long periods and the healthy one rubs one out, no one had a thought about sleeping with someone else. I dunno man, unless the guy is truly okay with it and he can say he is because of a state he's in right now and actually lose his mind later. After that its hard to recover.

Me personally as an occupational therapist I’m not understanding why a stroke patient a year after the stroke is unable to engage in sex? Is he not interested, is it a neurological challenge 2° to the CVA that’s impaired sensation down there? Because your husband is also an adult that hasn’t had sex for a year and I’m sure he’d like to. Speak to your husband and an OT/ sex therapist who can help you get back on track if it’s physically possible. I would think exploring that before inviting a third party into your sex life would be best 😅🤭
