Hilary is expected to be one of the most prominent storms of its kind to hit the West Coast of the U.S. and Mexico in a century. Some of the only previous comparable tropical storms on record to hit California did so in 1997 and 1939, per FOX Weather.
Experts warn Hilary could bring ‘significant flooding impacts’ to much of Southern California, Mexico's Baja peninsula, and the U.S. Southwest when it makes landfall in the region either late Sunday, Aug 20, or early Monday, Aug 21.
