Ferrari dominance of the 2000- 2004, 2007 Renault 05-06 Brawn 09 Red Bull 2010- 13 Merc 2014-2020 Ferrari was kinda untouchable, probably due to the cars speed and performance or it’s legendary drivers. Brawn basically came out of nowhere and won a championship. Red Bull dominance was a shift for the sport due to track regulations and the introduction of kers and of course the cars plus Vettle and Webber, 9 wins in a row. Merc has all these qualities, Drivers, Cars, Performance. But never actually dominated the way you would think. Merc came back to the sport (after buying brawn) which is still recent in events of F1. Merc went on to develop cars first before challenging the Ferrari and redbulls, after an update to aero in the sport as well as the introduction of drs( I think) plus the introduction to the 2nd gen of hybrid era car to allow more downforce for cornering, Merc became a beast. But they never won in the same way as Ferrari or Redbulls have, winning races was far more spread out, with i think 2020 being a real stand out year for Merc, again there were always bated breath to who could take down Merc first every year since then. (Apologies if I get some things wrong here and making it really long, I’m on a tour)
Also, didn’t know this but the W11 is considered the most dominant car along side Williams historical FW15C of 1993. RB19 is also considered a dominant car for red Bull but idk if it beats the W11

I LOVED playing this game back in the day. Had my friends come over, took turns driving classic cars, boy was it awesome. By far the best Codies F1 game besides 2020.
I think F1 2018 is way better than 2019 'cuz of the car sounds are much better, handling model/physics is awesome to play. But career mode is pretty boring after 2 seasons because there is no driver transfers sadly.
And something great about this game, on 2020 Codemasters gave it away for free on Steam, good times when F1 had a fair price and Codemasters was independent
It's kind of fascinating that this video came out today, i 've been playing F1 2018 since last friday 😂 The F1 games i currently have are F1CE, 2012, 2013, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 22, and 23 The ones i have yet to get my hands on are 2009 ( PSP ), 2017, and 2016 ( i'm still unsure about buying 2010 and 2011 )
Buy 2010 but for console cuz the cdkey for it is too expensive u can skip 2011 cuz its quite meh and if ur gna chose 2017 or 16 go for 17 cuz its a more polished version of 2016
I bought the game not knowing how good the game is. And got a steam key since its no longer available on steam, it only costs like $8 and im surprised how well the game plays even with a controller when i first started playing it.
2018 f1 actually felt enjoyable and great to watch, there were some races won by other drivers at least, not just mercedes over and over

Agree with the career mode being boring but if ur on pc u can always mod it
the daytime graphics and color grading was also better in f1 2018, but cant say the same with the night graphics because thats where f1 2019 excelled
