Congratulations Jamie. Without a doubt we all will continue to be the recipients of the awesome musical sounds/tones that will emerge from this NEW studio. Enjoy!!!
Aw thanks dude. Much appreciated. Just managed to put up a green screen curtain that I can pull over as well - I know you’re familiar with that flex! 😎 As always, thanks for your continued, great content. I watch every one of your vids! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Glad I tuned in for "Get Your Sax Studio Together", featuring your rendition of track 4 of Biting the Apple by the guy in the lower left of your background. Smokin'...
Looks great Jamie, lots more room, and love your Blue Bossa! I did get a good chuckle, judging from the videos from the old studio with the stone wall I thought you were in a cellar and had to excavate the basement to get more headroom.
Really nice blues soloing! Some super tasteful lines, yummy chord tones and the extended techniques are off the charts. No wonder the lessons here are of such quality. Secretly was hoping to hear some shreddy bebop lines but still enjoyed.
Shreddy bebop! 🤣 I try and kinda carve lines that tell a story and create ideas that flow rather than shed bop licks, but I am also partial to the odd bop shred!
Awesome studio! I built a tiny studio with PVC pipes, I was very excited when I finished my cheap ghetto studio so I know how excited you must be, love the song!
New studio looks great! Not sure if this fits under ‘get your sax together’ vids but at some stage in the future it would be great if you could you share your tripler tips for playing in shows-in particular any tips switching from sax to flute. Not too many vids on this on TH-cam-perhaps a bit of a niche query!
Hi Jamie … I’ve had a little Sax break over the summer while spending too much time playing tennis. But I’m back and wow the new studio looks amazing .. looks like you are really going for it, so well done. I haven’t heard much lately but I’ll be back on track. Great version of Blue Bossa very good to here you just play. Anyway looking forward to getting to grips with the new lessons and I’ll be digging back into what I’ve missed. Thanks as always :Martin
Nice ! Congrats Jamie. I must say, a flat roof (?) prepare to be up there performing routine maintenance. They can be trouble makers,, regardless looking forward to seeing what the new space brings !!!
I wish I seen this a year ago! Fascinating. Perhaps you could do a video on Get Your Studio Together. Detailing the choices you made, had to make, gear selection and setup from the building to the recording. Would be a interesting 'prequel' to the how to record video.
Oh My God! What a difference! Gyst 2! Such a massive improvement 😊👍👍 Now, where’s the bar and bbq area? 😋 We’ve been building exactly the same thing during COVID, trouble is, we’re still at it 16 months later…. 🙄
Very interessting video about your new studio. Create a café button for your studio and you will get many of them.......i promise 👍☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕ Because we need you there!
You might want to consider some pro lighting advice. A proper ceiling based lighting grid and some back lights would have taken care of the distracting shadows on the wall behind you and put a better contrast between you and the background. But you're definitely a good sax player.
@@GetYourSaxTogether I'm talking about the lighting setup in your new studio. You're spending a lot of money on upgrading the broadcast environment. Placing two LED photo lamps pointing at the object (you) from the front will create two shadows on the backdrop behind you. You're a brilliant sax player and teacher. I wouldn't invest in a more expensive sax without consulting clever and talented people like you assessing my skills and potential. I'm just suggesting what I think you should do to get the best broadcast output. With 25+ years in the film/TV industry, I know a couple of tricks that might help help you improve your visual output. 🤪

Fab to see you can stand up! Are those sound panels the same make as Jay Metcalf's? Look very similar. Blue Bossa was one of the first pieces I ever learnt, thanks for your great interpretation.

Hey Jamie, Congrats on the new studio! Wonderful rendition of Blue Bossa. I'll bet Joe Henderson's another Jazz hero for you. Cheers, Peter

Acoustic panels on the main reflection zones.
