      6:50 Yeah, I'm not buying the cammer's story. There is NO way he didn't see her blinker on. I don't care where the camera was placed.

    • @DrEtzor
      @DrEtzor 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@icemachine79 I mean, you cannot just force your way in, that's not how it works, and the one who's switching lanes is responsible for possible collision, so either you let them go past you and you join behind them or you speed up and get in front of them.

    • @DrEtzor
      @DrEtzor 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You must also remember that there's not a law that requires you to give the space to someone else who's switching lanes.
      That's just courtesy / kindness of a person, not demanded by law.
      But yes, the worst type of that kind of people who keep you behind them going like 30 in a 50 zone and when you try to overtake them they speed up to like 60 so you either risk hitting someone head-on or have to get back behind them.
      Or, for example, by going like almost 70 in a 50 over here you'd be paying pretty hefty ticket.

    • @icemachine79
      @icemachine79 3 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      @@DrEtzor The car had its blinker on for 11 seconds but the cammer didn't react until the car began to merge left. There are two explanations for that behavior: lack of attention or purposeful blocking. Either way, the cammer was in the wrong here.

    Why is it that people, who don't have insurance, don't have to pay for the damages out of their own pocket?

    • @Kingkoopa00
      @Kingkoopa00 3 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      They are supposed to, but they don't. You or your own insurance can go after them in civil court, but it usually costs more time and effort than it's worth. And even if you win, they still might not pay. Then you have to spend more time and effort going back to court to get the court to file for wage garnishment. Then you STILL may not get any money if they don't have a job, or more likely, they don't report their income (cash jobs and/or selling drugs).

    • @DB-po8rs
      @DB-po8rs 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Because it would never get paid. You'd spend more money in court and time of course than it would be worth. Thats why there's uninsured and under insured in policies now.

    • @QueenCallisto
      @QueenCallisto 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You will have to sue them in court.

    • @masterofThardus
      @masterofThardus 3 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Because unless it's tens of thousands of dollars in damage or you have some super special court order handy to force them to pay, you'll pay more in court costs than you'd get back from them. Especially since people who drive without insurance tend to be broke losers who wouldn't be able to pay anyway.
      IMO, driving without insurance ought to carry ungodly expensive fines to compensate. Some states in the US do this, thankfully. In Texas it'll cost you $1,000 after getting in one accident without insurance. And it only gets more expensive from there.

If, however, 20 seconds pass and you still have done nothing to alter your speed, trajectory, or both, guess who could have avoided the crash but didn't?

    A constant in most dash camera videos. The person with the camera heavily contributed to the problem. They refused to give one INCH, to slow down one bit to avoid hitting, getting hit. The ONLY concern was if they believed they were “in the right”. That’s fine for basketball. “Drawing a foul”. But makes you a lousy driver.
    I have taken driving courses. I am better then average. (Which is not really a brag). But I realize I make mistakes while driving. So I don’t mind giving other drivers who make mistakes room. You miss your turn? If I can I will let you cut over without blocking you. (Nobody told me I must enforce proper lane changes)

    3:00 F250s are especially prone to a type of steering-suspension condition called 'death wobble'. Terrifying when it happens to you. I had a company truck that did it and after several complaints from multiple employees (it happened to me with the boss on board), the boss put the truck out of service so the mechanic in the drill shop could diagnose it.
    The frame was cracked.
    The boss instructed the mechanic to repair it, wouldn't accept the mechanic's warning that it would be more liability than the company could afford if the truck wrecked after said repair.
    The mechanic did fix the problem: chopped the truck up and fork-lifted the pieces into the metal scrap dumpster.
    Some years later I witnessed such a failure on a vehicle ahead of me. I asked the tech riding with me to call highway emergency service while I shepherded the slow-moving vehicle from the number two lane to the right shoulder across five lanes of seventy mile-per-hour traffic, and we stayed with the badly shaken teen driver until the HERO unit arrived.
    His boss called me the next day and thanked me for the assistance, and called my boss who had not been informed of the incident.

      I've had luck filling one front tire to the desired pressure.
      Then, carefully measure the distance from the center of the wheel to the ground. Using that measurement, inflate the opposite tire until both tires measure the same from the center of the wheel to the ground.
      I bet this truck is 4X4 with locked hubs, which spins the front driveshaft continuously. Hitting a bump in the road can cause the limited slip to connect slightly, if the tires are two different diameters that kicks off the death wobble.
      This is my experience with a 2000 jeep wrangler, also known for death wobble.

I was driving through Missouri a few years back and we ran into a rainstorm so bad you could barely see the vehicle in front and the traffic began moving at 45-50 mph in a 70mph zone. I thought about it and realized that somewhere out there is an idiot wanting to go the speed limit so I reached over and turned my hazards on. Within a couple minutes I saw something I had never seen before, as far as I could see, at least 80% of the other cars also had their hazards on!
    People, never be afraid to use those lights when the weather is bad, a driver can get lulled by the brakelights in front of him but seeing a set of hazard lights will focus his attention and make him wonder what you see that he doesn't.

      Because many people only drive in the snow once or twice.
      A 2wd car must have chains because studded tires are illegal in California.

    Jasico TV, no it wasn't "kinda funny", it was actually disgusting that you spit at the other driver. In some places that is considered assault...keep your rage under control, and your mucous and saliva to yourself...

    15:00 really driving 55 on snow and when you start sliding expecting to turn the wheel 1° per second is gonna correct the slide, I seriously think people need to be taught how to drive in rain, snow, ice, Id say people also need to learn to correct any slide, obviously someone who races on track and has experience with rain and ice they would know but not the average person.

    The guy raging and spitting on the dude. Youd really think it would be funny if the sput went out the back of your head, which is exactly what would happen if you came up on me. Think about that while you're "practicing self control"
