I remember getting this game as a Christmas gift back when I was between 5 and 7. Can't exactly remember but I decided to randomly look this up just as I'm writing this comment and man does this bring back memories!
That brought back some memories! I spent hours playing this game, so much fun, and even got a second memory card to play through all the missions a second time. It was disappointing that there was never a sequel. The radar targeting was great and I remember that I changed to buttons on the controller to quickly scan through the targets and take out the worst ones first. Came here after watching Curious Droid's video of the RAH66 Comanche.
I wish I knew this game existed 20 years ago.. I played Thunderstrike 2 for the PS1 for HOURS. I picked up the original for the SEGA CD a couple years ago.
I don't think so! Which is really freaking weird because Nuclear Strike basically uses the same exact cover as this game. In Europe this game was actually called "Thunderhawk"
This was one of my dad's favorite games.
Holy shit this was a blast from the past.
Oh look my childhood
Damn. I miss the old Eidos Interactive intro. So many memories.
One of the first games I bought when I got my PS2 back in 2001, the graphics seemed amazing at the time!
I grew up with Thunderstrike 2 for the PS1

This is my childhood game
My father was really, _really_ good at this game for some reason. I sucked at it, but I was only 11 at the time so I didn't know any better...
I would always watch mine play this game.
Dude this game SLAPPED back in the day.
the Test range was my favorite
Man I wanna' go back and play this now...
This was the last PS2 game i got before i moved on to PS3
I go back to this game for fun of it. It is still a lot of fun, yeah.
It is a good idea to show different mission but honnestly for survive you have to use the terrain for avoir the missiles .
used to play this with my dad as a little kid, I remember being so amazed by the graphics lol
Just curious, was Thunder Strike part of the other chopper Strike games like Nuclear Strike, Jungle Strike, Desert Strike etc?

This game would of been much better on 3rd person view, also with option to modify and personalize your chooper.
