    You forgot to set filmback. The sensor size of Nikon D5100 is 23.6mm x 15.6mm.
    17mm focal lenght is 25.5mm on full frame sensor. Also you do a great job. 🙌

      You're right, can't believe I missed that so thanks for posting the correction. For those watching the tutorial, select your camera, go to the attribute editor, under 'Film Back', enter the respective dimensions under 'Camera Aperture (mm)'.
      As Denis explained, the backplate in the tutorial uses a Nikon D5100 which you can find in the image properties. You then have to do a search online for the actual sensor size, with the Nikon D5100 being 23.6mm x 15.6mm.

    Thank you, great insight how to render correctly the final model with the shadows, was looking for something like this for a while👍

    Man, these tutorials are great. I do struggle a bit to translate the carpaint and "noise clamping" nodes to vray. But seeing your latest video I hope there's a chance you'll do a vray version of this tutorial 😊 thanks man, already a great help so far.

    Hey. I love your tutorials, but why you wouldn't use a flow check map to check reflections and flow on the car body. Though the blinn would only show highlights, the reflection could be fuzzy right. I know it will never be proper in polygonal modelling like how nurbs class A surface would. Would like to know your opinion on this. Thanks for making free tutorials available for everyone as well.

      Good point, I use flow check maps for any hard surface modeling so I could cover a tutorial on how to use it in practice.

    i just found that i can use vrayberconnoise instead of Ainoise for my render in vray
    Do you know which node can i use instead of AI range for vray??
    Also great job in your videos man you are great!

    Do you have any intention to repeat this video but using vray for Maya ?

    Loved the video, very detailed but can you make the same workflow video with Maya using Vray as the render engine ?

    Hey , Can you do a video on how to use the GPU in Arnold? When I selected it , 80% of the times Maya crashes when rendering ( I have a RTX 3080 ) Thanks a lot

    • @samim9166
      @samim9166 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try Renderman or something Different like Redshift, With Dense scenes, Arnold is not usually the best. but also maybe play around with the sampling.

      I really didn't do anything besides set the render settings to RTX. I would check your Nvidia drivers are up to date.

    Completely lost after the Render Layer Part.

      How so? I know it was a bit complicated but I want to make sure I don't lose people during my tutorials.
