Sadly as street skaters in the 80's we had no real concept of where half our tricks came from and used to laugh freetstyle skating, skip their vid parts etc. but damn we weren't busting out ollie impossibles like that until years later.

skateboarders are nut's even back then..the horror movie music...was way underground..they were into goth and punk and everything like that ( some of them liked regular music) but most were just out there...rejects...and what mullen was doing back then.....oh my god...you always here about the gonz and tony hawk and all that but just look at him skate......said he was from a farm and skated for like 8 hours straight everyday.

It wasn't underground. Punk, new wave and goth were pretty mainstream by then. I know because I was there. Thrash was the preferred skater music.

Rodney certainly has mastered the shuv-it - forwards, backwards, inside out. But Ive only seen him do the 720 in Future Primitive. As far as I know he only ever does 540s otherwise. Just that one time in the video. What’s up with that?
