      @@williamdoyle8431 im aware everyone of those people played a part, but the person of topic is Rodney Mullen , and i by all the interviews Ive seen he never identified as a punker, a drinker or even tried to be "cool" and not that i have an issue with people who identify as anything i guess he embodied all that is great with skateboarding from his abilities to his personality, once again im sure all of us and Mullen wouldn't be where we are now without everyone who played a part 🙏🌌

      I have respect for Rodney and I can’t deny what he did for skating but his personality and him as a person doesn’t remotely strike you as a skateboarder. If you want someone who is a pure skater look at Andy Roy. He’s a pure and true skater TIL the end of fucking time. Plus who ever even cared about freestyle, people would only watch the freestyle contests when Rodney was competing anyway

    People have no idea how much of a blessing it is to have a originator be this humble in speaking in the origin of his creation, this story is parallel to anyone that’s ever been the originator of anything that caught on in a culture, from iphones to jay-z’s music. Luckily we have Rodney Mullen who has the blessing of being naturally humble to peek into the mind of what it’s like to be the originator.

      @G Shrooms? Drugs?
      Shrooms aren't drugs. You have a lot to learn. Psilocybin is a medicine, and natural. Not like the synthetic drugs we chemically create.
      There's a reason Psilocybin is used to treat depression and to help those who are dying come to terms with their deaths. It's one of the most beautiful substances life has blessed us with.

    • @camb6818
      @camb6818 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cee Truth drugs are another word for medicine, along with other definitions of course

    • @ceetruth4709
      @ceetruth4709 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@camb6818 Right, but if we were to discuss this semantically, then it can accurately be affirmed that both words have their own meanings, regardless of any interplay between them.
      Psilocybin is only viably labeled as a drug because it's an illegal, controlled substance; however, it is not an addictive substance - ironically, it helps to cure addiction (as well as depression and death woes, as I mentioned). A medicine promotes healing, whether it's physiological or otherwise. A drug does as well, however, "drug" is the pharmacological term for a substance used as medicine, and these substances are mainly synthetic, and mainly serve as a catalyst to the body's chemical processes.
      You're not wrong, but a derogatory perception is usually associated with the word "drug", predominantly when used to describe a recreational substance - but Psilocybin is much more than that. In fact, continued use of Psilocybin doesn't inspire a recreational use of it - and I say this both from experience and an understanding of it.
      Even today, Semantics is a dominant field in Philosophy, because it governs language and our understanding of it, as well as the symbols we use to define the world and things around us, so it's important to garner expanded perceptions of language/words that may seem or feel limiting. It's important to recognize distinctions between these terms because the two aren't mutually synonymous, yet they can be (as you said). My only point was that Psilocybin falls under the definition of "medicine" much more strongly than "drug". In fact, the only definable way (as I mentioned above) that it is considered a drug is through the fact that it's an illegal substance that (usually, first timers) are prone to using in social settings (which I highly do not recommend).
