Dear Muslim Brother. Christians are bound by their faith to love you without reservation. They are strictly enjoined from sitting in judgement on you. Strive to love yourself and just be yourself. Reject anyone who attempts to change you. That will always fail. You are priceless as you are.

Hey Tommy, there is a new Messenger in the world now. Delivering a message of warning and hope to our struggling world. His Message isn't intended to replace or denounce any existing religious traditions, instead, it brings clarification and the power of Spirit to uplift and guide humanity. You'll find most of it free online at NewMessage(dot)org.

There are schedules for Holy mass everyday , of course, and of meditations, too.
Confession is always available for one who needs it.
Night rest or sleep schedule is always done properly , at last 8 hours till 6 in the morning , Then wash and change to prepare for chapel at 7 am.
Detailed schedules for other matters are willfully omitted here for optional reasons by the superior.

Ideal Modern Monastic Christian Common Life:
A modern monastic life is a common life, the purpose of which is to help the Christians to prepare to live a successful life.
In the monastery, there is the schedule of prayer in the morning, noontime, and evening.
Then breakfast and study. Then 2 morning class courses: one church subject, the other history. One hour each.
Then lunchtime and recreation. Then siesta and 2 afternoon classes: languages and math. One hour each.
    Kitchen workers are hired outsiders.
Gardeners are hired outsiders. Some monks are scheduled to work in the field with hired outsiders.
Some monks are scheduled to work pastoral nowadays.
Some monks are to take master or doctorate degree outside.
Some are expected to become priests .
    Others choose to be brothers.
When they quit the monastery, they are expected to marry and have a family.
As long as they stay , they will live as monks.

That's not mine. I'm Christian. Not Muslim. That's cheap.
I'm here to help my fellow Christians to improve their life.
Christian life now is a largely different from the past.
It's better than giving hardship to your fellow christian people's lives or your jealousy.
Not criticizing or maligning other people .
Do your own prejudices. Don't include me.

0:17 I'd live there. We don't NEED anything this secular spits out at us. I've grown so sick of hearing buy buy buy! every time I turn around. I don't need anything that trash heap world spits at us. I do need silence and to be closer to God. The more I give away, donate or throw out, the free'er I feel. It's not all that shockingly to me. Thank you brothers for making this video. A blessing and great teaching for the youth called to be God' and not this world'.

I wish I didn't get stuck in the world.
I just don't see myself being in the centre of this world and living a worldly life.
Running away, is not what I mean. I had struggles, but being a monk may work for me.
I'm 23. I was different to my brothers, because Jesus kept on calling me.
I have to discern if Jesus wishes for me to be his servant, or not.
I'm at the start of a great journey....

belcha3 I am 21 as well and in the application process for a Benedictine monastery. First, you need to discern which religious order you are called to (Benedictine seen above, Cistercian/Trappist, Franciscan, Dominican, Carmelite, ect.) not all religious follow a monastic rule (such as the Rule of St. Benedict), after this you need to discern which abbey/community, house, friary (Franciscan) ect., you are called to some abbeys are stricter in certain areas than others and have different Apostulants (I suggest discerning one monastery at a time), all you need to do for this is get in touch with a particular monastery's Vocation Director (contact info. can usually be found on the monastery website under a vocation tab). The vocation director will guide you on the steps from here and will most likely have you visit a few times before applying. Hope this helped

In addition to the advice below remember you are not limited to your own country. Near me we have a new priory of Benedictine monks, Silverstream Priory, Co. Meath, Ireland, where the brothers come from Italy (Fr. Prior), the US, Spain, UK, Australia and Ireland. There are constantly new enquiries so you may want to look at options overseas as well should you feel the call.
Edit: we have Dominican and Franciscan friars plus Cistercian monks as well all in near proximity to me. Look at all, you may want to spend a few weeks in a couple of different communities before finally finding one that is right for you. Also remember, they might be the same order but you may fit a different community better eg the local priory had two novices join at the same time, both took their first vows as novices together. Two years on, one is still here and has taken his soft vows only last month, the second has returned to the US having found the life wasn't for him. Yet another returned to his home country and joined a community there because he missed speaking his own language and seeing his family. He is still in a monastery though. One more consideration, do you want a more "conservative" community, by which I mean one who follows the old Latin rites, or one which uses English/Spanish/French etc instead. One of the major reasons for the numbers joining the local community seems to be they follow the old Latin rites, though this means you will need to become fairly fluent in Latin, one member is a Latin teacher, and tutoring and exams are overseen by a large monastery over in England. Most follow the language of the country they are in so if you are fluent in Spanish, French or the like and would prefer that to English then look to those countries. If you are very attached to your language and culture and family then stay local because you will inevitably interact with locals. I have attended masses at different communities over the years, many run schools (Cistercian and Franciscan) and other services such as for the elderly (Dominican) and Cistercian or just provide a listening ear and advice to those in need (local Benedictine) while offering daily masses and other offices open to the public. Many run guesthouses, especially Cistercian, open to the public in need of a quiet retreat while others cater towards priests or nuns in need of peace and quiet. Ask God, then look at a number of different communities and countries because no two are the same and equally you may not get on with one group and yet feel an instant sense of acceptance and family love with another. Remember also, you will have time to think before taking your final vows as well so your first choice doesn't have to be final. Good luck and God bless.

Hello Carmen, a nun has made vows called the Evangelical Counsels of poverty, chastity and obedience. She lives in a monastery and is a contemplative.
A Sister is a member of an order that has a call to certain work in the world. She still lives in a community which prays together, but also goes out of the community to serve God: teaching, nursing, serving the poor and needy or wherever the sisters believe God has called them to.

    Worship . . .
Lite two candles and sweet incense . . .
In Jesus name I Create a Sacred Space . . .a Holy place to Worship the Lord . . .
    ....
O Lord, hear my prayers, and let my cry come unto thee . . .O Lord God Almighty, who has reigned before the beginning of the Ages, and who by thine infinite wisdom, hast created the heavens, the earth, and the sea, and all thats in them is, all that is visible, and all that is invisible by a single word; I praise thee, I bless thee, I adore, thee, I glorify, thee, and I pray thee now at the present time to be merciful unto me, a miserable sinner, for I am the Work of Thine Hands . . .
    . . .
Gracious God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. Forgive us and give us strength to turn from sin and to serve you in newness of life . . .
    . . .
Save me, and direct me by Thy Holy Name, Thou to Whom nothing is difficult, nothing is impossible, and deliver me from the night of mine ignorance, and enable me to go forth there from. Enlighten me with spark of Thine Infinite Wisdom. Take away from my senses the desire of my flesh, that I can walk up right before your divine presents . . .
    . . .
O God the father, All Powerful and All Merciful, Who hast created all things, Who knowest and conceivest them universally, and to Whom nothing is hidden, nothing is impossible; I entreat Thy Grace for me and Thy servants, the Brothers and Sisters of this Order . . .Come Lord and make us Soul Winners, Help us now to Create a proper Space a Holy Place that we can worship you our Lord . . .in the Mighty and Wonderful name Jesus the Christ!
    . . .
When we enter here in with all humility, let God the Almighty One enter into this Circle, by the entrance of an eternal happiness, of Divine prosperity, of a perfect joy, of an abundant charity, and of an eternal salutation . . .O Lord our God Sanctify our humble entery here in; Thou the Blessed and Holy One of the Eternal! Ages . . .in the Blessed name of Jesus the Christ . . .
    . . .
O Lord God, All Powerful and All Merciful, Thou who desirest not the death of a sinner, but rather that he may turn from his wickedness and live: Give and grant unto us thy grace, by blessing and consecrating this Sacred Space . . . I beseeh Thee, O Lord God, the All Powerful and the All Merciful, that Thou wilt design to bless this Circle, and all those who are there in, in the Blessed and Mighty name of Jesus the Christ . . .
    . . .
    Amen!
.Hail Jesus the Christ, God Son, my Savior, Have Mercy Upon me a Sinner!
    I Glorify you God . . .only you I worship . . .!
THERE IS NO OTHER God but Jehovah . . .
King of Kings and Lord of Lords . . .
There is no other name where for you much be Saved . . .Jesus the Christ, Logos of God! Amen . . .
    ...
All... to be, to exist, to come to pass!
    ...
The Minister ask some one to open with a prayer from the Heart without any written litany . . .
At this time spontaneous worship takes place. Everyone worshipping out loud from the heart in charismatic release, arms and hands up lifted in a sign of surrender. Singing in the Spirit taking place. Everyone surrendering to the Spirit of God. This time of worship should not be rushed, or hurried . . .there could be a tongue and interpretation, a prophecy.
    MINISTER . . .Friar
    Hear the good news:
Christ died for us while we were yet sinners; that proves God's love towards us. In the name of Jesus the Christ and his shed blood, you are forgiven!
    All . . .Brothers
IN the name of Jesus the Christ and his shed blood, we are forgiven! Glory to God. Amen
    Minister . . .Friar
LET'S us offer one another signs of reconciliation and love.
Everyone shakes hands and greets each other.
    Minister. . . .Friar
All honor and glory is yours, almighty God now and forever.
    All . . .Brothers
    Amen!
    Minister . . .Friar
    The Lord be with you.
    All . . .Brothers
    And also with you.
    Minister. . . .Friar
    Lift up your hearts.
    All . . .Brothers
We lift them up to the Lord.
    Minister . . .Friar
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
    All . . .Brothers
It's is right to give our thanks and praise.
    Minister. . .Friar
And so, with your people on earth and all the company of heaven we praise your name.
    All . . .Brothers
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
    Minister. . . .Friar
And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus the Christ, we offer our self's as holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ's offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith.
    All...Brothers
Christ had died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again!
    Minister. . . .Friar
All honor and glory is yours, almighty God now and forever.
    All . . .Brothers
    Amen, Amen, Amen . . .
    ...
The Minister takes a few drops of water and adds it to a small cup of anointing oil. The Minister holds up the cup and prays a blessing over it...
    The Minister...
    James 5:14-16
14 Anyone who is sick should call the church's elders. They should pray for and anoint with oil the person in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer that is said with faith will heal that person, well; the Lord the will heal that person. And if the person. Has sinned, the sins will be forgiven. 16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so God can heal you. When a believing person prays, great things happen.
The Minister anoints each brother in the name of the Lord on the forehead in the sign of the Tau cross...
Each brother praying silently to themselves confessing there sins to God and asking for, forgiveness....1John 1:9
Anyone sick after everyone is anointed raises there hand up and others lay hands on them and silently praise for there healing.
Other needs can also be prayed for.
If there is someone that is not filled with the Holy Ghost they can ask at this time to have hands laid on them to be.
If there are prayer requests that have been written out on parchment paper ( flash paper) the parchment should be held up. The Minister should now ask a brother to pray for these prayers to be met...
Now the parchment paper with the prays are burned in the thurible...with incense added to the charcoal....
    ...
" Friars Eu·cha·rist". . .come and eat the Masters calling...
    Exodus 12:13 and 21-22
    13. The Blood will be a sign for you on the house where you are; and when I see the blood I will pass over you.
    21. Then Moses summoned all the elders of Israel and said to them, "Go at once and select the animals for your families and slaughter the Passover Lamb. 22. Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe.
    All . . .
    Hebrews 9:22
    22. In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and with out the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin.
    Minister. . .
    1 Corinthians 11:23-25
The Minister picks up the paten with the Bread saying...
    23. The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said.
"This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me"
The paten is pass clockwise round the circle. Each person brakes off a piece of the bread, eating it in remembrance of what Christ did for them on the cross.
The Minister picks up the Chalice and says...
" This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
The Chalice is passed clockwise round the circle each person drinking from it in remembrance of the shed blood of Christ.
Once again the Chalice and Paten are back on the altar spontaneous praise and worship takes place thanking the Lord for his shed blood and the forgiveness of there sin(s).
This part of the Eu·cha·rist is not rushed, a time of just being still takes place. . .
A tongue and interpretation or prophecy could happen ...we want to be open to the Holy Spirit. So we at times just wait on the Lord.
    ...
    All...
May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us, that your ways may be known on the earth, your Salvation among all nations.
May the people praise you, O God; may all the people praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the people justly and guide the nations of the earth.
May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the people praise you.

I have a very important question... If one is divorced can he become a Monk?

    • @BungleZippie
      @BungleZippie 8 ปีที่แล้ว

yes, but you may well need a dispensation before you can take vows. If you have any children or dependants then you wouldn't be able to enter until this ceases to be your responsibility (when they are adults) unless you have enough money to establish a fund to cover the period until they are independent.

Yes, I am divorced, twenty five years ago. I became a Franciscan Friar at the age of 38. I am now 62. God will accept any age. Blessings. Unfortunately the Roman Catholic church does not, become a liberal catholic.

I have been told that I can not be a monk because I am too old. (56). Is it immoral for me to live as a monk on my own serving God?

    • @chatwithchika
      @chatwithchika 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

+Edwin Rivera Certain monasteries might allow older people to join so you might want to keep searching for one. Living as a monk on your own is okay, but you could also consider joining a religious third order as a lay person.

    • @edwinrivera8449
      @edwinrivera8449 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I was told this. Without taking vows as a monk is like living with a women. You are not truly married in Gods eyes.

    • @chatwithchika
      @chatwithchika 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Edwin Rivera Well, you couldn't call yourself a monk or pretend to be one, but you could still live a life filled with peace, prayer, and service. You'd still be a lay person, but your life can be holy without being a real monk.

    • @edwinrivera8449

You are right. I was told this. But reading The Rules Of Saint Benedict, He says all are welcome regardless. The church turned me down but I am still going to serve my Lord. Till my death.

An aggressive stance to take when both Protestant and Catholic monks share a calling to God. It is NOT for you to decide or cast judgement. This divide was caused for all the wrong reasons, but ultimately it is the same God. You are allowed to not *like* it, but those are mere opinions to be kept to yourself or at the very least not try to influence others with them.
Let the Protestant monks live and love, just like you would any "true" monk. They are ultimately there for the same reason. A call to God. Remember that it is not for you to decide whose call is the "right" one.
