Finally! At least a video of casually driving a hybrid Yaris!
It's a comfy car, but the new one is even comfier, and feels much faster and more responsive!
I definitely agree, the new model is a step up. I just driven one in my latest video th-cam.com/video/_-GJXfa-zsc/w-d-xo.html
The new model is great to drive. The new ECVT is fantastic, matches the new three cylinder perfectly. Only turned one down because of a silly trade in offer for my Subaru and that was at a Toyota dealer for a brand new Yaris. Their loss. I wont name the dealer but they lost a sale because of that, and they had one in stock as well ! As for comfort, the smallest wheels available are 16 inch and its not a soft suspension, you do feel poorer surfaces too easily. Thats why id now probably get the Mazda 2 hybrid (same car) as you can get that with 15 inch wheels. This is for mainly urban buyers I would imagine so should have had a better ride quality to cope with potholes and patched up roads. The silly larger wheels on the Yaris are even more pointless.
What a Car 👍 nice video
CVT better with this engine than the manual but have to admit im used to the characterful sound of boxer engines with CVT (had an Outback).
Are you able to connect your phone with this car and play music from the phone out loud from the car speakers ?
Based on your style of driving what was your average mpg?
Would you recommend this over the manual?
Nat bad car nice video
Thanks 👍
Does it have tyre pressure monitoring ?
the yaris i drove had tyre pressure monitoring
What's the ride quality like
The ride was ok, nothing to complain about but also nothing to shout about if you know what I mean
Seems that manual transmission has had its day with the advent of government mandated electric vehicles.
Unfortunately I suspect that you might be right
Its a 1.5-litre petrol engine !
You are quite correct, the website I use for checking the specs said 1.0, but the DVLA database says 1.5. I'll correct it, thanks for pointing out the error 👍
