My favorite was when the entire Florida A&M football wore illegal jerseys and got penalized a timeout every quarter for the whole game. Gotta imagine the coach had something to say to the equipment guy when they got back home. Seems like making sure your new uniforms meet league requirements would be important when designing new jerseys

I don't know if any video of it exists, but I saw it when it happened. 1973 playoffs, Mets vs. Reds. Big fight, starts with Pete Rose and Bud Harrelson. Benches clear. Then Buzz Capra (Mets) and Pedro Borbon (Reds) get into a real brawl. When it's broken up, Borbon grabs a Mets cap and puts it on and starts walking off the field. When he's told, his reaction is different from Johnson's. He grabs the bill of Mets cap in his teeth, bites it and tears the bill right off the cap. Of course Borbon is the guy whose baseball card said on the back that his hobby was cock fighting. Not joking.
