With this and the Rick and Morty theme, I’m almost convinced that this composer is an actual god amongst men. I’m hyped to see what we get in the future.
With both this and the Game of Thrones theme, Stephen Barton is very much competing for a spot of fantastic composers that stick out to me, I know it's a shame that the copyright stuff edited this song but that ain't PFG's or his fault, and it's better to at least have this as well! It's way too well made to be a fan made theme. There's too much nuance and cohesion for some random fan to have made a theme as long as this with consistent quality all the way through.
The diversity in tracks is a little low right now and it's caused people to dislike the music, but I'm certain that once more stages are released, this will be an absolute fan favorite and this game's ost will be great.

Honestly I can see this game taking off more than ever once the teething issues are fixed after open beta ends and the roster starts filling up. Like seriously, the scope for the future of this game is unbelievable. It's not that far fetched to think that we can have Walter White fighting alongside Godzilla to take down Optimus Prime and Samurai Jack on Krypton at some point down the line. Not to mention every character they've added so far is oozing personality and plays differently, and they've managed to make super experimental characters that Smash wouldn't even dream of trying out work very well. This is a gimme for PFG and they'll need to make a lot of mistakes to blow this game's potential. There's passion behind this game, from the characters to the soundtrack, and that'll go a long way in making this a mainstay in platform fighters as long as PFG can play their cards right. The game has stagnated a bit for the time being and is losing players as a result, but I really don't think it'll be hard to pull the game back to its past peak numbers and possibly more once the game starts coming together properly. TL:DR; While I seriously doubt this game will ever rival Smash in its popularity, this game has so much potential that there's zero reason why it shouldn't become a huge success for years to come, possibly even becoming an enduring classic if everything goes perfectly.
Alot of MultiVersus music is super well composed, but it doesn't fit the ambition I'd want in a fighting game. Which is a shame because songs like this DO fit that ambition. It just sucks they had to change this in-game due to legal licensing issues

"God awful" seems pretty extreme, most are really good. Some just don't fit very well. Both Aventure Time tracks are absolutely fantastic, and the Steven Universe one is great too, but because it's only one track for a map with a lot of variants means you hear it on repeat a lot. The only one that's really lame is the one for Trophy's Edge.
