I didn’t even know of propagate process. One of my branches broke off so I put it in water to prolong the death like a rose I guess, next thing I knew a week later I seen roots so I replanted it now I got two! And now I’m here lol
If I had found this video sooner, there would have been some hope to my plant. 🤣 Great video though, now I know which mistakes I made when I tried to propagate my yucca.
Would it be beneficial to dip the cuttings in root hormone powder before planting the cutting? Or will it do fine without the root hormone? Thank you for the video!
I use aloe gel instead of rooting hormone & that works for me, but I’ve also propagated by putting the cuttings in water until roots form. Change the water weekly.
I know that quite a few people have already asked this, but after cutting a shoot for propagation, what should be done in order to initiate/ expedite the process of the parent/ donor plant growing a new shoot(s)? I've read that "two new shoots grow from where one cuts off a shoot," However I've had no success in growing additional shoots, and haven't been able to find any details of the process actually working. Thank you for the great videos!
It takes one month to grow new shoots but make sure to wax the surface of the cut to help the plant to keep the moisture and prevent any desease may enter from the cutting
Hello, I see that you have experience in growing Jukka. Mine is almost 2m, can it be cut in the middle of the trunk and put in a new pot for it to take root?
Hi, I recently started a plant from prop, it’s getting big how long does it take for the wood stem to appear? 😝 I see you soaked it. I only lightly water mine with a spray bottle. Thank you.
After cutting and planting them, where do you place them? Shaded area or under direct sun? How many times do you water them? If would be nice if you share the whole process. Thanks though
I have had two of these for a year now, and only the leaves seem to grow bigger. They still don't have any form of trunk. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I can't find any information on how to get trunk-growth.
@@dizzy2k224 do you mean that I should cut the leaves off? And then pull the dried leaves off entirely? How far down should I cut the leaf, at the base?
@@donnyestee trim the outer leaves. Leave the middle for growth. It grows new leaves from the middle. Once u trim the outer leaves. Whats left behind will resemble a trunk. Make sure u have a yucca cane verity

This is common in youtube. Everybody did it this way, and it is not the fastest way. It looks like people scare of it. Try cut that big trunk and see if you can make more. People wanna see if it the secret way for gardeners so they can grow more plant in short time. Do you get it what i mean? I’ve look for the video somebody does it, but he disappear, no progress video from them.

Great -quick-concise video!!!Maybe add some watering instructions but the best video I found and it wasn't 15 minutes long.

Lovely little video
Thank you so much for the video!, one question though, how often do you water them or how moist do you keep the soil during the rooting process?
Depending on your climate, I think every 2 to 3 weeks should be okay

After cutting, did you need to wait a few days or was going right into soil okay?
Straight into soil should be fine as you don't want the cuttings to die.
Love the sound track
thanks you for sharing how propegate yucca plants..

Might just be your yucca - mine grows a new shoot next to where I cut it more or less immediately

When you cut is it going to grow again in the same place or it will stay like that ?
After cutting and planting them, where do you place them? Shaded area or under direct sun? How many times do you water them? If would be nice if you share the whole process. Thanks though
Water them only when u feel the soil is dried, it hate water, only small cup of water is enough per week or 10 days, don't worry about it
Are the plants hardy outdoor yuccas or tropical indoor dracaenas?
Здорово 👍
What happens to the cut where the leaves were cut from the plant. Will it grow again from same place?
I did the same but it get yellow and dried or spongy
Hello!! how many times a month should I water them????do i have to have them on the sun?????
Thanks for this video. Do you have an older yucca plant grown from the cuttings? What does it look like after a few months or years?

Soo amazing
Wow, plz also tell where keep these cuttings
Excellent
Do you sell those yucca plants? How much? Thanks
Mine died after trying this. The stem was mushy and it rotted. I think I should have let the stem dry a bit before planting it directly in the soil.
you should have leave the stem to dry 2-3 days
