@@TillyDouglas congratulations! I also have a grandson, he’s 2.5 years old and a real character! I very sadly lost my beloved brother two months ago, he was my best friend but he’s at peace now.

@@TillyDouglas ❤️ thanks Tilly my grandson makes life worth living. Can I ask you a question? I resined some tile coasters last week but the resin had pulled away from the side so I waited two days, and sanded them down and resined again but oh my goodness they have dried worse, they have ripples and waves all over them. They were perfect when I resined them and also at around 4 hours but next morning they were terrible! Do you have suggestions as to what caused it?

The most common reason for the resin creating holes and pulling away from the sides is oil on the coaster. So either the use of oil in the paint mix, or oil transferred from your fingers. Before you put any resin on, you need to thoroughly clean all the surfaces with isopropyl alcohol.... make sure to wear gloves whilst cleaning, and every time you touch them after cleaning so you don't transfer oil from your fingers back onto the tiles. Also, after sanding them, make sure you clean any of the dst off with Isopropyl alcohol too. xx
