Your goats from the Introvert Drawing Club sesh are SO GOOD! That duck statue painting is marvelous, too. And I really love your fashion style paintings of your friends and family, they're so awesome!
Finally catch your monthly recap video while getting lunch ☺️ a very good company! My favorite is the painting of your cousin and niece, so much freedom and gives me a feeling of joy and powerful women 💖 I would love a video where you teach how you make portraits from others, they are so good 😉
Fun video seeing all your sweet creations -- a sketchbook cover that is also a pencil case! 😍. I loved joining in the goats drawing session. Your Make Way for Ducklings painting is lovely!
A really creative month again Melissa. As I said elsewhere, I think your acrylic paintings are improving each time, I am very admiring. I bookmarked the real time painting process video to watch in day when I will be able to calmly enjoy it. (thumbnails are so hard to manage sometimes 😁) Thank you for talking about my live sessions! I deeply love to see what you draw during the replays
Yay! More art! I loved your colorful Friendzy portraits... the colors and simple lines remind me of some of the sketches done by Matisse - very effective and you got the essence of your models! Amazing! I like your sketchbook cover/pencil pouch idea... excellent! Goats! You've done so many live sessions! That is so commendable - you have done so many amazing pieces of art, Melissa. (My November was so very unproductive, art-wise, but that's what happens when time crunches!!) I hope I can make it to the Pugs session - life has interfered so much with my fun this month!! Thank you for sharing you art with us!
Oh my gosh Brian, such a compliment about my FDF portraits 🤭 Thank you! 🤗💖✨ Life can be so lifey sometimes… it’s great that you show up how and when you can. Hope to see you for 100 pugs, but if not you know the replay will be just as fun!
Get the Cretacolor Mega Duo sharpener for your fat pencils. It works great, catches the shavings, and has a second hole for your standard diameter pencils. I would love it if you did a session on drawing people with glasses. When you added them to your self portrait, I was surprised that you placed important connection points around the face before completing the glasses. They looked much more natural than the effect I usually get by starting on one side and working across the face in a continuous line.
Thanks for the suggestion! 🤗💖✨ I actually looked for the Cretacolor Mega sharpener and found it for the low low price of EIGHTY-FIVE CANADIAN DOLLARS on Amazon 😵 I’ll keep looking LOL. Re: drawing glasses - I’ll see what I can do! It’s been a while since I’ve done a “how I draw people” video, so maybe I’ll do a “how I draw faces” and be sure to include people wearing glasses. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@melissamartinart Maybe someone is going to drive the pencil sharpener over the border from the US to Canada because of the postal strike...Dick Blick sells them for about 6 USD. I paid nine dollars for the little plastic Derwin pastel and charcoal sharpener because Katie Moody said they were good and it was the only one I could find online.
Love your videos Melissa, Thanks for sharing. Can you tell me what type of material is the blue , red and yellow? that you use in a lot of your self portraits and drawings. Is it marker?
@@patriciabeeck7478 Thanks Patti! 🤗💖✨ That’s Higgins Drawing Ink, in the colours “yellow”, “blue” and “magenta”. I use them with water brush pens, but without water because I like the nylon brushes
The Duck painting is my favorite! All of it is good.❤
Thanks Stephanie! 🤗💖✨

@@melissamartinart Thanks and what is the brush that you are using with the acryla gouaches in the interior session?
@ the purple one? That’s a Pentel Neo-Sable size 10 brush I picked up in Japan. Also nylon I think!
@@melissamartinart Yep that purple. Is that a water brush as well?
