Tip for 6 *RAIDS use metronome item. So u don't run out of pp in 8 pp attacks and after 3 turns metronome is stronger than choice items
Does the metronome reset if your Pokemon gets knocked out in the tera raid?
I also recommend having a pokemon with spikey shield, it helps alot because the raid pokemon will hurt itself when you use it and it is also a protect, you can use it every turn if you want too. It helps me when I raid.

Tera Raids:
- Nullify your stat boosts and the enemy’s stat drops randomly
- Run down a short timer with animations and lag
- Allow the enemy to ridiculously pad their health
They are legit garbage when you reach Five Stars
They can also take a charge from your Tera Orb
Tip for Miraidon users! Use Metal Sound once or twice at the start of battle and you'll one shot most pokemon with your next attack.
When people do this online for 5 stars it usually griefs since the raid shields then cleanses stat drops

It is . I’ve had lots of profit with mine && SP. A stacking , just don’t bring it to the wrong raids which should be self explanatory .
My take was boosts get cleared and the typing makes you weak to a lot of base types. Also grass tera raids not super desirable

I feel the openness of the raid pool, peer-pressures new players into continuing to grind and learn about EV training. Yes it sucks for those trying to actually defeat the raid, but it's a hard lesson to those newbies.
Torch Song is good for raids. The special attack buff is very appreciated
Drain Punch / Leech Life seem fairly consistent with healing to near full, still have to matchup properly ofc, but will make you unkillable if used right
I like Skeledirge, because when paired with throat spray, you can go plus 2 after 1 torch song. Additionally, if you tera as well (obviously can't the first moves of a raid) that is potentially 1 turn to go plus 3.

The only person I’ve ever done a Tera raid with was my cousin. When it came to gaming absolute idiot he was actively attacking me
Raids are a great way of grinding. In this game grinding is super efficient because you accomplish everything in raids. While clearing a raid for EXP candies you get vitamins and feathers and you get stardust and other stuff that you can sell for a lot of money, which you can then use to buy bottle caps. In previous games you needed to go to the battle tower and grind it for bottle caps, and then you needed to go battle wild Pokémon to farm EV’s or you needed to go farm money for vitamins. I really like that this game allows me to basically do it all at the same time cuz I like competitive Pokémon but in previous games I didn’t really have the time to do all the grinding so I never really was able to get too much into it and had to resort to Pokémon showdown. And because the bottle caps and nature mints are so easy to get it also means that the only reason for breeding Pokémon is to get a specific egg move or to get a shiny, because everything else is just easily accomplished with simply catching a wild Pokémon and hyper training it
Breeding is also good for zero IV stats like 0 speed for trick room or 0 attack for special attackers cuz foul play is a move that exists

My first 6 star raid that I failed to get the Pokémon was an Armorouge with Terra type Grass and it's hidden ability Weak Armor (its normally flash fire)

Hey, I'm pretty new to raids. Is there a chart that tells you when you can and can't use status moves, and which ones you can/can't use? Like taunt which I haven't tried yet. Or I found myself failing screech/metal sound after a certain amount of damage has been dealt.

I was losing my mind on a ditto raid the host but in his quiver dance volcarona that set up on us and wrecked us. Why dont people understand that the host should put a useless pokemon in. I need to go and get an iron hands so I can bulk through some of these.

I think there's a lot of info but I haven't played Pokemon in years and you make a lot of assumptions about the audience. That's totally okay! I'm the odd man out, but I had NO idea why Ice Gengar was a wanted 5 star tera raid. Great quality of content though.
At times, I feel as if the NPCs are completely dead weight most of the time with them constantly missing moves and randomly bringing in bad matchup pokemon to the wild mon's moveset.
I already did a few solo raids myself, and some pokemon are just pure agony to defeat due to how bulk works in the games, and I feel as if the Tera Raid mon's HP stat has been scaled up just to add another insulting troll to solo players. Cause if the NPCs keep dying to the 5 star in question having at least 5-6 moves at their disposal because of their setup strats, it feels as if most of the time, they're just pure dead weight. If most of these losses are based on RNG and not skill, I just generally find that insulting most of the time. On top of the fact that the NPCs losing about 103 in a stat makes it to where they can barely chip the raid mon's health because of such differences and ludicrous scaling.
The guide regarding NPCs in question is still a huge gamble considering the questionable move choices the NPCs make (will-o-MISS as an example) and most of the time even if you have such competitive ready pokemon, it'll just make them dead weight. The ruin legendaries as an example LOWERS the stats of pokemon around it, except itself, so while you have an advantage in making the team stronger by making the raid mon weaker, you are also creating a double edged sword that can in turn make the same NPCs faint faster or just become wet noodles that can't inflict damage, which again, makes them not viable.
It feels as if the raids cater to certain pokemon, and if you don't have those pokemon in question, then you'll just always lose no matter how many times you attempt it, whether it be from move RNG, status, or just the NPCs dying over and over again because they keep choosing a move with 85% accuracy... and MISSING constantly while the raid mon busts out 5-6 different moves and then has a BS set-up strategy that can't be replicated when you catch it.
I had a Dark Tera Scyther that had Swords Dance, agility, focus energy, x-scissor, slash and aerial ace with Technician as an ability, and having a 90 power flying move that NEVER misses with +2 to attack is just ridiculously busted. You can imagine how many resets that happened there before I finally won due to the Raid Mon making bad move choices vs. Swords Dance Lucario.
Status conditions can also turn your success into a fail, especially burn, paralysis, sleep, and if you end up being frozen, you're better off either cheering heal (which is another RNG in itself) or running at that point.
I also feel as if the Tera star rating affects the mon's HP to have higher scaling cause normally a +6 to a mon's attacking stat would just bulldoze through everything (cept for unaware), but the +6 strat doesn't even take down 33% of the raid mon's HP despite it being a super-effective attack (180 power Close Combat, 1,400 ATK Lucario vs 5 star Tera weak to it.)
Mathematically, trying to hyper carry will result in fails most of the time and spending too much time setting up would just result in a reset and turn the matchup in question into a fat, unkillable wall, even if you have EV/IV trained level 100 pokemon ready for competitive.
5:15 I think that 6 star raids are worth it, as you 100% know where one is all the time
I've been encountering a lot of people doing Swords Dance / Belly Drum strats in raids. Maybe someone knows something I don't, but in my experience, they maybe get off one big hit, though more often than not, it gets cleansed immediently and then they just behind and useless for the rest of the raid. I want to believe in the Belly Drum one-shot, but I have not seen it.
I had a belly drum iron hands that performed so poorly I could only imagine it was a child or an AJP fan
The belly drum strat works way better in a coordinated team. Turn 1, everyone uses attack cheer while Iron Hands drums. Second turn, one person heals, the other two use defense dropping moves/extra heals/attack cheer as needed. IH pulls of a super effective close combat, you win. Also, more coordinated attacks are way better in raids if you can manage it. Otherwise, you risk chipping too much and triggering tera shield and/or debuff cleansing and buff removals
I dont get any ability patch at all. Find it better to catch the 6 star den pokemom everytime as sometimes has hidden ability.
Much easier than 1% chance at abilty patch.
Hey, so what if you have level 100 Pokémon that aren't competitive that you still wanna use for Raids? I have many level 100 Poison types since that is my favorite type, but I noticed that there weren't a lot of them with high attack power (save for Salazzle and her Sp Attack). I'm also considering using Dhelmise since with it's ability Steelworker it's essentially a Steel type without the steel type weaknesses of Fighting and Ground
The raid content is something you have to play into or you get bodied

4 star raids and legendary Pokemon or super matchups for 5 star will get you there
Higher level raid battles suck because they put so much nonsense in them and it just makes it artificially harder for now reason

there are honest to god room temperature IQ people running raids man brought a blissey into a scizor raid and proceeded to first turn light screen followed by life dew and then die 3 times in a row because not even my umbreon using reflect can do anything when he brought a pokemon with only 10 base def. thats also another thing wayyyyyy to many people run glass cannons and try to bring damage even if the typing isn't super effective i dont mind bringing my umbreon or Dachsbun because someone has to hold the teams hands, but to many children/adults are bringing there miraidons or koraidons just because stat numbers are big and most probably didn't even EV or IV train them.

People posting 1-4 star raids is just annoying. Also I've done online raids where randos had no idea of move types the pokemon use. People bringing pokemon weak to fairy into battle against gardevoir that has moonblast and draining kiss is true pain. Something people should keep in mind.

Hell no these 5 an 6 star raids need to give you at least an hour or more to beat them with just NPCs I have a few level 100 Pokemon I despise this system because no 5 or 6 star can be beaten it's impossible.
How do you EV train? And where do you get bottle caps?
Ev train using items like iron, calcium etc or feathers, or even if youve been using the pokemon it will have its EVs trained. Bottle caps can be bought from delibird presents after beating the game and can be gotten as a reward from raids i believe
Ɓelly drum is no good for getting Cinderace as it misses over and over and over again then you faint due to timer running out.

Its a level 75 Pokemon with super buffs and 2000% HP. You need a 100 trained Pokemon or you get dunked
That seems rediclous. But okay. I was rather hoping for keeping my team away from being 100 and not using legendaries to do everything. I handle 5 stars pretty fine. 5 star raids are incredibly unbalanced. I have a lvl 80 grass type and I'm getting one shot by water pokemon, and I do barely any damage to them with flower trick. it s a piss take.
As stated in the video you need level 100 competitively trained pokemon for 5*
@@Verlisify yeah I totally agree, what I don't understand is why it's designed that way. The jump from 4 to 5 is insane, and yet when you catch the 5 star pokemon it's only lvl60? Considering 6 star and supposedly 7 star exists, they could have balanced it a bit better.

A chunk of this video is complaining about online incompetence. Suggesting a coordinated strat for randoms is worthless and will lead to a lot of failed battles. Like the people trying belly drum and being worthless. Its very a irresponsible strategy to promote

I'm quitting. With Violet unopened even. 5 star raids are impossible for a single player. I'm fed up with being forced to play w others when I'm 50 and have no hope of meeting anyone else to join in a raid. They didn't include the link cable as an item. I am NOT buying a second switch. No. I've been a hard core fan since 2000. I bought a second Gameboy, GB advance, SP, DS, DS lite, DSXL and even consoles just for one game, like gale of darkness for example, or to play battle frontier on the Wii. But I'm not buying a second switch. And now, with raids impossible as a single player, and GF locking herbs behind five star raids when I need them to shiny hunt, and needing to shell out hundreds just to trade a handful of pokemon you refused to include the link cable or just stop having trade evolutions entirely I can't get the shiny charm, so you've successfully eliminated the reasons I play. This isn't fun anymore you shut me out because I'm single GF. Raids were too hard, final straw.

Annihalape. With drain punch to take a few hits and heal/stall so you can power up rage fists. Rage fists gains 50 power every hour you take

You could have featured quasquaval or azumaril for the leeches since it can cover a decent range with play rough , super power , liquidations, belly drum. Or a support Pokémon that can helping hand/ status effect for the extremely low level players. Obv people shouldn’t join but that isn’t going to stop them. I’ve seen some leech off 5 star ditto raids with just a magikarp which isn’t bad sometimes

One of the most important things you can do is to just get the Choice Specs and Choice Band. You’re just gonna be spamming your strongest move regardless, so why not do the highest amount of damage possible.
i had a choice specs on my gengar against a Gardevoir- it copied cursed body so it disabled the Sludge Bomb, AND it had the move Disable so i was struggling the whole game 😭😭
Then don’t do it for Pokémon with trace when using a cursed body Pokémon or against cursed body Pokémon lol
Tera raids = Whole party is in the choice item gang. Experimenting with Bellibolt - choice item- Electromorphosis ability right now. Im with you on the 6-star raids. I wish they gave more XL XP candies at least.
What evs should I do on Scizor ? Need help
@@jv1192 I did max Attk and a lot of HP (then a mix of some defense) on mine. Seems ot be working alright so far.
I am using Ceruledge for raids. Fire, ghost, and dragon has no resistant pokemon according to a calculator. So bitter blade, shadow claw, and dragon claw are great moves for it. Bitter Blade is great for healing to sustain and I can solo most 5 star raids.
Fairy is immune to dragon though.
@Tananda Lynch but fairy doesn't resist the ghost and fire so you can still hit it neutrally...
If you see a much stronger attacker on your team. Assist them by cheering. If you are gonna be dying easily, at least heal so that you last longer. Kinda hard to heal you, power myself up AND attack

I use this against anything Koraidon can't handle and I haven't had trouble soloing any 6 star raids. I prefer hex as most of the npc trainers tend to try and status.
Had a lot of fun with anything weak to Ice or Electric, choice specs/band Miraidon and Chien Pao are pretty strong, but Chien Pao specifically kinda folds to anything that has a high base power stab move or super effective hit.

Sometimes people just start attacking and don’t give the power ups time before the shield comes on. Then they die a lot and tank the raid
Looking forward to seeing what everyone will bring to 7 star Charizard raids. I’m not the best at these games, but Azumarill seems to be an obvious choice.
He can learn 2 steel type attacks, so depending on what he brings he can has almost 100% coverage, including fairy. Gotta wait and see lol.
@@jacknubii Water typing makes the steel attack neutral, at least. I think most will be more worried about solar beam… which can also be worked around. Like you said, we will just have to wait and see to be sure. I’m looking forward to it.

Yes this. Because going in at lvl 100 and other people being way less is not optimal.
I just feel like collecting 50 of specific shards is kinda hard. Especially when there are 18 types spawning.

After attack, what is the most important stat for tera raids? HP or Speed.
I've noticed that 5 and 6-star raids have a tendency to pick a good Tera-type for that Pokemon, as well as a good (but not optimal) move-set.
For example, I've seen a Tera-Flying Copperajah with Heavy Slam, High Horsepower, Curse, and Strength, which is a nasty combination. Heavy Slam smashes through Ice and Rock types (and just goes well with its high weight), High Horsepower annihilates all but the bulkiest Electric types (like Iron Hands), and Curse to boost its already high Attack into the stratosphere and help with its meager Defense stat, and Strength because if it had Rock Slide or Stone Edge, it might be completely impossible to handle.
I can handle 4 star great but struggle with 5 star at the moment 😤 I've one level 100 (can't recall the name, it's shiny, all EV and bottle cap etc, looks like a samurai sat on something hehe) and I'm currently trying to level my second Koridon (spelling??), got it to level 90 almost, bottle capped etc

I can do four and five star raids, however struggle with six star raids. I have been lucky enough to do six star raids before but I do struggle with them most times.
I have Pokemon with five to six max IV's and fully ev trained.
I maybe in the minority on this, but what I found is I just didn't beat the game right away and did a bunch of random raids. Since I was capped, a 4-star they were so east. I don't even have to pay attention (I usually use a turbo controller), with Iron Hands as my main, switching out if I notice that the battle is the wrong tera type. I ended up after a while with about 3million in dollars, 1000 medium candies, 750 Large candies and 100 x-large candies. Then I beat the game and levelled any Pokémon I wanted at any point.
I ended up in a 5 star raide of a grass type greedant that spammed bullet seed and stalled the timer out
