You are so blessed!! I believe your well is a natural spring fed well! Should try to get a fine mesh net and skim the little dirt and trash that's floating on the top and recap it the way it was originally and put a pump, maybe an old timey pump! Draught or not, you'll never run out of fresh spring water! I would imagine that your water sample came back good?

Hi guys, I just love your dogs, cats, goats, ducks, and emus. I thought when the male emu was following you was hysterical, I watched it over and over again. One of them needs to be sent to America's Funniest Video. Lol I was thinking, you should put several rain barrels under your spouting, that way you can just screw your hose to the bottom and it's endless, once you get rain. I live in PA, and we have lots of rain and warmth. It's so sad that you are in a drought and Fkorida is getting a second hurricane in less than two weeks and it is supposed to be the top 5 of all times and the there are all the other stats under water or mud. But I had a barrel and left it at my last place. I am getting another one. It saves so much on my water bills.

Paper shell pecans are the best! My dad had them growing in his yard, and would go have them cracked and then shell them himself and send me bags of pecans to make pecan pies. Sadly my Dad passed in 2022. So no more pecans from Texas.😢
Great video of the well a little dizzying but looks somewhat clean. I think you landed on a partial ledge because it looked like it went deeper off of the edge area. Looked open and darker I was hoping the second time you went down with the go pro it would have been closer to the edge and tilted further down. Since you are having a drought why not pump up some of the well water and put it to good use by spraying it around to save the grass. Also looks like a good time to clean out the pond, maybe make it deeper and put the debris over where the sinking area is? You all have a good week and try to stay hydrated and cool. Where I live it was a high of 52*f and tonight the low will be 44*f. Our apartment buildings boiler was turned on to day for the winter.

Burn bans are in place including going into Fargo, ND. Growth spurts hurt. Both dogs and children. Will you add bentonite to try and keep it sealed to hold more water in that pond? I grew up in country NSW, where i saw chicken coops that had chicken wire/netting roofs to stop the chickens flying out or birds of prey flying in. Some had supports every so often to support the wire.

In TN, I lost a 5acre pond. When I called County Water Development, they came out and were worried about where the water went and said there "unknown to the public" earthquakes going on in the area.
As hard as it is to see the dryness because of possibilities of fires, lets take a moment to be Thankful its not flooding and PRAY EVERYONE that the people from Hurricane Helene survive this and those who are preparing for the next Hurricane Milton. It could be his body type. I give my dog Tumeric for dogs it helps his joints chihuahuas are known for hips and knee joint problems. My vet loves it she now tells patients at the vets to use it.

I live in Washington and we send our water to the County Health Department. If they can't help you they may direct you to somebody who can.
Kevin, what comes up online is the OSU Extension office and that sounds like the best option to have the water tested. Texas Deb
