Chord shapes reminds me dadgad, but sixth string seems to be dropped to g#, so six steps down. Unfortunately I don't have such thick strings to test it.
I wonder how this would work if you had someone with a dadgad guitar and someone with a bass.

sorry, the tuning is G# D# G# B D# G# (open g minor). but you can transpose it to DADFAD (open d minor).
