It's true, Rohit and Virat both have been given such a long rope in comparison. We think they are also running on fumes. If they don't perform in the final 2 Tests, they should also be removed from the squad.
Basically, Rachin Ravindra and Tim Southee ended Ashwin's Test career back in Bangalore. Ashwin had figures of 1/100 in that match. Jadeja had a 10-fer in his last Test match. Sundar had taken bucket-loads of wickets against NZ. And Ashwin had a worse bowling average than Glenn Phillips.
That is true. But Ashwin has not performed in 2 Test series for India, both are the only ones India lost - 2012 to England, and 2024 one to NZ. Otherwise, he has been simply superb. He was Player of the Series against Bangladesh too. So, it is what it is. Kohli, Rohit have not been performing for so long but they still are playing, aren't they? Sometimes being a bowler is a big disadvantage.
@@thesportshook And where did I say that Kohli and Sharma should not be dropped? By my logic, Kohli and Sharma should also be shown the door. By your logic, because 2 under-performers are being retained, a third one should also be retained.
Ashwin was humiliated. His father has already spoken out. I agree with you both, he deserved a farewell game at least. Proper farewell
Yes, even Lav and Siddhant believe the same.
GG should answer why
VK and RS the old war horses are still in the team in spite of thier woeful records in the last 3 yrs

Some people are calling Gautam Gambhir the new Greg Chappell now.
Knowing Gambhir, he is just being himself... And we don't know if he had any say in Ashwin's retirement
GG is a second Greg Chappel
He is on a mission to destroy indian cricket
Be ready for a4/1 blanking by the aussies😊
4-1 scoreline in favour of the Aussies, let's hope not.
He should have announced his retirement after the Mumbai Test against NZ.
If Ashwin is expected to bat, vadapav and chokli are there to cut grass? Why such a long rope to chokli and vadapav?
