i totally agree! why is a number 8 expected to bat like the top6?? ik its always better to have batting depth but at the cost of a man who has a great record in australia? the top6 has been horrendous and instead of making changes there we want our number 8 to be a full fledged batsman. I cant imagine how sundar would be picked up ahead of ash . imagine doing the same with a virat or rohit who arent scoring runs and rest them for a another youngster. Its unthinkable to do that in the current setup given their fanbase and their influence in the team
