Pre-order now to be the first to get a copy of this book that has all my personal tips. geni.us/Simpli... Slug Control In Garden - How to Stop Slugs For Good was made as it is every gardener's worst nightmare. After it rains the dreaded Slug appears. slug control is important as they devour your plants during the darkness of night and retreat as the sun rises leaving only the damaged remains of what used to be your pride and joy, your prized plants
There are 29 species of slug in Britain, but just four give the rest a bad name: the common garden slug, a leathery gunmetal grey and the length of your little finger; the fat, sickly grey field slug; the black slug, the biggest (and sometimes rust coloured) and keeled slugs, which have a ridge along their backs and a taste for potatoes.

Do u have the video of the slug being put in sodium hydroxide and poping getting blown around due to the exothermic reaction
I've just put a few signs up saying slugs will be made into compost. Had no problems since
Wow reading slugs. Great stuff
Hilarious
Haha I wish
My garden is now infested with dyslexic slugs.
😂🤣
This is by far the most practical / no BS gardening video I've seen in years. THANK YOU!
So nice of you glad it was helpful to you. :0
LOL funny, yeah I like that it was straight to the point my question is where do I buy these nematodes?! Guess I'll look online....
I live in a clay soil area and slugs own this place. Planted out marigolds , woke up with 1/2 of them gone, flowers and leaves. Following night, at 11pm, went out with a torch, a plastic tub with hot and very salty water, and metal pegs to pick the slugs up. picked about 500 slugs 😫 Yes I was counting. these are just the ones I found at that particular time! They we’re eating all my plants and flowers. They were on my mint plants, onions/chives, leeks and all. No plant is slug proof at all. I’m sick of them. Garden Isn’t even that big.
As a biologist I can see this being a long term and very effective soil treatment. Other factors may increase or decrease the results, such as concentration.
Cracking video, man.
I don't use any tap water in my vegetable gardens so there are probably a decent amount of nematodes multiplying in the soil. Everything seems healthier.
Last year when it was watered by tap water there were slugs all over the place but this year very few.
Yeah it’s why I collect as much water as I can Richard. I store 12000 litres
@@simplifygardening That is a good amount of water in storage but it's amazing how quickly it gets used up - I was really surprised this year as on hot days the garden can take hundreds of litres of water per day.
@@ThousandYardStare Hence its important to mulch
Thank you! I will definitely be looking for slugs fitting this description and make the nematode slurry. I much prefer this to anything inorganic or packaged. Very useful and practical information!
Glad you got value from the video
Not slug related but I was stoked today to finally get to the point in my garden where some predators were helping me out with pest control. Had a few ladybirds picking aphids off one of my roses! The others are all clean and healthy!
We're battling slugs atm, this is by far the most practical method I've seen, imo.
Cheers Tony 🌱
When they come in their droves you ahve to get a hold of them and show them whos boss :)
Thankyou so much for this information I'll be getting on it as soon as I have a tub with a lid. Thankyou
This is very helpful Tony, we need a solution for our community garden. Nearly everything we have planted this year has been decimated by slugs.
I will be suggesting this solution asap!
Hope it helps
Thanks
you can't get nema slug in the US even though that's where the nematode was discovered.
Yes this episode is definitely of interest. I've been wondering how to cultivate these little critters. So thanks. and I just ordered your book
This is going to come in handy, thank you so much for the upload.
Probably wise to use rainwater in the bucket, as chlorine could be killing the nematodes in some regions?
Yes Andrew thats a great point
Tap water left in a bucket for a couple of days loses the chlorine to the air as well.
@@MrKapeji but not the chloramine they’ve started adding in any places - it’s very persistent!!!
I've been looking for an infected slug since I first saw this video, but no candidates was ever spotted. So I ordered myself Nemaslug for 100m2, betting my luck should change after applying the first batch :), and then hopefully use your technique to keep going until the end of the season.
Did you notice a difference then and found more infested slugs?
@@floriancrausaz4714 After applying nemaslug once, there was a bunch of infected slugs - I saw infected ones from two weeks out and all through the season iirc. I never got around to doing the technique described in this video though. This year I don't have that big of a slug problem (there are still some slithering around but they end their life when I see them) and the raised beds in the area that were worst off last year have only been used for growing garlic, which I don't think slugs like anyway.
Thanks Tony for giving me the link to this video, I will be out looking for any slugs like this and giving it a go. Really need to get rid of these things, I think they must be the bane of all growers lives.
Yeah they can be a challenge for sure. Ive not seen any this year but i think thats down to the amount of nematodes in the soil
Beer in an ice cream tub 1/2 or 1/3 full, catches many snails and slugs overnight. They love it so much and get drunk and drown.
I tried this once but kept getting woken up in the night by drunken slugs fighting and shouting abuse at each other ;)
@@philsoulby9510 Ha ha ha ha ha :)
@@philsoulby9510 Interesting....It's their loud off-key singing that wakes me up.
Very interested in making my own nematode soup! How long does it take, do you leave the slugs to feed for a few days or weeks? Do you have to keep topping up their food supply or do you just leave them with a few leaves in the beginning then let nature take it's course?
Hi, I'd love to know how long before you can use the solution too, thanks 👍
I live by a river and water my garden with river water when it gets dry. There's also a spring nearby that runs constantly, loaded with calcium. Also live close to a horse farm so horse manure gets spread year round. I have a great garden but have never been able to control slugs.
Nematodes will really help you there
Do you need to have already introduced nematodes (via nemaslug or other) initially for a slug to be infected? Or in any given garden will there be slugs infected anyway ?
Many thanks!
I was wondering about that too..
He said you need at least 1 infected slug with a raised or bumpy mantle that will infect the rest if the slugs while they are floating on the raft.
We have entire large patches of land full of slugs but NONE are infected. So yeah, this is an issue indeed.
Hi Tony, thanks for this video I had seen this system explained once before by some one else and often wondered if I would give it a try but when I saw your video I decided no never the slimy liquid you were dealing with was repulsive to me. I make comfrey liquid in a bokashi bucket, I noticed that slugs got in there even though they do not attack live comfrey plants so once they were in there I shut the lid and used the comfrey liquid from another bucket. I then went to the bokashi bucket the following year it was not smelly and the lid had been knocked off and rain got into it. I went on to water my Hosta plants and clematis with it. I noticed that I had no slug damage my Hosta was free of holes, and the clematis shot up with thick shoots and large flowers. I have been adding more rain water and comfrey to the bucket and it remains affective and clears the slugs almost immediately.Thank you for the tip although I chose to do it in a different way.
1 million and 1 different ways to do something in the garden Florie, as long as it worked its golden :)
Thanks Tony It is virtually impossible to grow any thin they are every where every size and colour. Now they are disappearing fast.
Thats great news Florie, You will find that they wont be an issue ever again now your doing this
@@simplifygardening Slugs have been nibbling my young comfrey..........
Where I live (in The NL) some slugs and snails eat our comfrey just as they do almost anything else.
This vid is how I found your channel, while searching for anything about nematodes.
Fantastic, welcome to the channel. hope you find more stuff of interest to you :) Don't forget you can share my videos with your friends :)
Nothing less than brilliant, I have watched dozens of videos claiming that they have the answer. your video is the best and the most logical solution. Thanks for sharing, all the best, Phil.
Thanks Phil that means a lot appreciate it
Thanks. I will start making this today. I really hope it works I ‘ve been collecting them in the middle of every 😩night by torchlight.
Anita it will really make the world of difference to you
@@simplifygardening I planted 200 asparagus crowns in April 21. We are lucky enough to have a couple of acres of soggy damp mid wales. We have a fantastic display of ferns, more than we ever expected. Most crowns sending up 15 to 20.
But only today, in early October 2021, whilst weeding under the ferns I have seen slug damage and then saw the slugs!!!!! My research brought me back to this video again. There will be slug harvesting, there will be lidded buckets with rainwater in them and there will, hopefully, be no more slugs......
Thanks.
Might have to try this. The picture of the slug pellet container was a type that doesn't use metaldehyde, they won't kill hedgehogs, the organic advanced slug killer ones are supposedly safe.
Thanks Nicholas :)
What an excellent idea thank you. We will finally conquer the pesky slugs.
Paul they will definitely work, it will take a few days to see them after applying but then you will see the effects
great video as usual i am learning so much from you Tony thank you.
Thank you. I will start looking for infected slugs tomorrow :)
May I ask, what is the slug infected by? Im guessing bacteria in the soil? I totally missed that, even on replay lol. And can I use snails, those i have a huge issue with.
@@gardencookeat22 he said they have a swollen mantel.
Hi Tony, how long do the sugs need to stay in the sealed bucket before they're decomposed enough to use please? 😁🌱🐌☀️
Hello, I started two weeks back with these nematodes. two small questions: Is it normal it takes two weeks before the last slug is dead and how much more time do I have to wait before spreading the water out in my garden? How long will these nematodes live in my basket?
Thanks Tony , most of the slugs in the garden are gone I found only tiny baby ones. I have a problem finding slugs to do more of this nematode Juice. Thanks for the video.
Brilliant Florie, I havent seen a slug on my garden this year so far. I think once you break the cycle then you break the back of it
Be sure to go out at night with a flashlight in hand to do a slug survey!
I was doing some reading inspired by you and I found out that it's recommended not to use fertilizer 2 weeks before you apply nematodes.
Yes Adam. Should have added that to my video. However organic fertiliser is fine. I often forget about chemical fertilizers as I always grow organically
But fertilizer kills soil biology, and when that’s dead, the weeds thrive.
This is SO helpful! Thank you so much.
I am very glad you found it useful Marie 👌
@@simplifygardening I will try this on my 3 acres of 2-year-old native deciduous woodland which has a heavy population of the 6" black slugs. You mention temperature in your video. Is there a "best time" to use the nematode "tea" on the land?
Can I use the beer filled with dead slugs for a nematode application or add it to freshly made nematode liquid?
Yes you can vivienne.
@@simplifygardening I would save the beer for drinking and use rain water to 'drown' the slugs... hic!
My father would put disposable aluminum pie pans filled with cheap beer in between rows of his garden (depress the pans into the soil) leaving them all night. By morning they'd have many dead slugs in them. Repeat this for about a week and you can eliminate the slugs.
frybentos tins maybe?
@@simplifygardening
Yes that would work too. My father grew up in Georgia, his parents were sharecroppers growing cotton. They grew their food for their large family(12 children) in a 2 acre vegtable garden & had
simple innovative solutions to rid the garden of pests. If you notice slugs, treating with beer traps every night for about a week worked the best.
Blessings!
Thank you very much for the information i will surely try this out😊
Hi did I miss something? How do you get the first infected slug?
I missed it too!! Ugh!
He said you were supposed to gather a bunch of slugs. I’m assuming that this means you’re hoping for at least one of them to be infected.
Where do you get 30 slugs from to start this mix? Oh wait, they're eating my plants!
He did say you can identify an infected slug by its swollen mantle at least I believe that's what he called it but it should be obviously different to an un affected slug
@@RandomNameTitle lol
I have wild garlic in my garden, in the past I’ve dug it up as soon as it appears.
This year I’ve left it, appears the slugs are backing off the Hostas etc as very little damage.
They do say garlic is a repellent, not sure I want wild garlic either tbh.
Holy cow....if I had slugs that size in my garden here in Michigan, U.S. I'd go out there with a shotgun.
Seriously, my slugs are nothing like those, and I use Sluggo bait which is, according to the manufacturer and information sheets, harmless for pets and wildlife, being only iron phosphate...and it works great. Great video!
will give this a try and see if it works. Fingers crossed.
Good luck Jason. I had no damage at all on my brassicas this year. so well worth doing. collect all the slugs you can and make multiple batches at a time
I wish I had found this video years ago when I had my house, we had an infestation of slugs there... great video
Super vid Tony 😄👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. When you create your donor mixed slug colony, do they need to be showing signs of infection? Any idea of what the working temperature range is? Will give this one a try. Many thanks mate.....Nigel
MuddyBootz nigel you just need one infected it will infect the rest. if you have 30 it would be rare that you wouldnt find one. just look for the swollen saddle sometimes bumpy. 8 to 10 degrees but the warmer the better
Dear Tony, I've just ordered your book for my birthday. But please, Tony, give us a smile occasionally. I saw you on a live chat ages ago, and you have such a lovely smile! Greetings from Tasmania.
I have never been more irritated and frustrated with them until I started putting in WORK trying to keep up my mothers flower beds!
I LOVE wildlife and do not want to hurt them! There's nematodes that eat flea eggs. Got those at the local garden center!
Sometimes we have to control them. But you could collect and relocate
How long do you need to leave the slugs and lettuce steeping in the container to make the nematode control solution and how much do you need please I am making raised bed concrete beds I have just started gardening so I'm new to it all thank you very much
Revolting, but excellent. How long should the drowned slugs be allowed to sit and decompose? Is there are period after which the nematodes themselves will expire in the soup? BTW thanks for doing these videos for us - excellent information and well presented.
leave for about a week. then when the nematodes are in the ground they last around 12 weeks and will multiply you may need to do it again for the season but then your done
I've got a fairly large garden and this yr have got tons of slugs... all the things I have to encourage wildlife.. ponds.. wildlife area... tree branches. shrubs .. trees etc seems to be encouraging slugs too...I made access areas in my garden for hedgehogs holes in concrete weatherboard trench areas .. they rarely come.. although had 3 frequently visiting a couple months ago.. have 2 wildlife ponds plenty frogs newts.. and even spared a few leopard slugs which is meant to eat the others... dont know if they're disinterested and nothing seems to work.. couple nights ago I picked about 50 up.. big ones and put them in a paint scuttle with a lid and dumped them in the park.. seem to get the same amount each night at the moment...!!!??? Only bit of hope so far is put Guinness in a tray and seems attract and bump a few off.. but think I'll try this method now... at my wits end..😫
Hi love all you videos but this one is very interesting as I have a slug problem, question I have is if I can't find an infected slug to place in my bucket will I get the same results with a bunch of slugs that I have already in my bucket to harvest nematodes, also how long does it take to get a nematode soup ,
Cheers Philip
50% will be infected the larger the group u place in the more chance of them infecting the rest
At 3:17 you mention the slugs will drown. When I tried this, the slugs were able to climb the walls of the bucket after being in the water. Do they just eventually starve and fall back in?
Sean they will end up in the liquid if they got out of the water its not deep enough or the float touched a side and they were able to get off scrape them down into the water.
add salt to it!
How do you get an infected one? and how long it takes for the slugs to decompost?
Roman, around a 3rd of slugs will already be infected they carry this like a cold all your doing is providing a situation for it to multiply quicker than in nature. It takes about 8 days total
@@simplifygardening So if i take about 20 slugs, there is a chance that a few have this infection?
@@henrikkarl25 yes there is usually around 20 to 30 percent of the population that are infected
If u put the slugs in the oven at 350°F for 55 min they will decompose jn apprx 4 days.
jk. I dont kill slugs
@@simplifygardening One infects slugs by puttning them into nematod solution, "Nemaslug" (available on webshops or in garden stores). You can use infected slugs as bate: cut them in 2 or 3 peaces depending on size & put them in the garden in the evening, where slugs use to turn up. Because slugs eat eachother, there will be more infected & will "pass away". This method is invented by a norwegian gardener.
Thanks Tony... another great video.
I love the idea of growing your own nematodes.
How long does it take for the slugs to decompose and release the nematodes into the water.
Do you make a new batch every 6-8 weeks? Thanks
Wow… your channel just gets better and better…. Super impressed… thanks..🥰😎
Glad you enjoy it!
Thanks! This is a really new treatment. Will try.
Let me know how it goes for you Grace
Thank you for your video. Can I use 30 snails instead of 30 slugs to start with? as it is easy to catch live snails then live slugs.
Hi, what sort of temperature is best to implement this method? Plz let us know. Thnx
about 12 degrees c
@@simplifygardening thank u somuch and all the very best for your new channel.
For how long it have to be to make compost? Thanks
4 to 6 weeks
Thanks
I have a question, if we don’t have infected slugs to start with, should we buy a pkg of nematodes to get started? We have a terrible time with slugs.
Thanks for the pointer i will check it out,all the best Kevin.
Thanks Kevin, Hope you enjoy and knock the slugs on the head
I might try setting a walled container into the ground with some vegetable material inside to catch them automatically?
Gd idea
Can this be applied for grubs too ? Leatherjacket
The Ibiriaslug has invated West, south and now east Norway. I pick hundreds of them up after the rain !
Now (the frost is still in the ground) I have to start prepairing becouse daytime starts to go over 0 C.
There is no garden center or here at the mill (farmer shop) that sell Nemaslug, just chemical snail poison. I have to order through webshop from Brittain. Or like you explain to find an infected snail and make the grubble my self. It's such a big problem here ! Neighborhoods organising massiv pick of snails, so I don't understand Nemaslug is not for sale here in Noorway.
It's a brilliant idea Tony, but what a smell.
You only ever smell it when you open the bucket, but doesnt smell as bad as nettle or comfrey so well worth doing
Ah that's good to know, based on how my beer traps smell when I forget to empty them for longer than a day or so I was thinking this concoction is going to be horrific :D
Cheers!
It does smell but more than worth it
comfrey tea will gag a demon.
Did it work?
Will this work for snails also?
Yes
iv just found this, its a great vlog, i look forward to trying this as you can bet your bottom dollar there will be loads
Hey give it a go and keep your eyes open as I have another video coming up over the next month or two with some other sure fire ways to beat the dreaded slug
Great video.....I have two buckets of slugs on the go, one was started a month ago the other one just a few days ago, when Ive watered my garden with the nematode soup do I need to keep repeating this ? And will I need to repeat this next spring ?
Do it for 3 times 6 weeks apart and you prob will have got rid of most of them and next year you will hardly see them as they wont be there to lay eggs
Thank you very much for this video. I have used Nemaslug successfully with potatoes for the past three years and would like to use it on the brassicas also but, as you say, it is quite expensive so this is a big help. Slugs and snails have been really bad this year.
Yes, they have. The problem was a mild winter which allowed most of the eggs to survive, then we had a wet humid spring and summer, perfect conditions for slugs. The reason I made this video is if we have a mild winter this year, next year will be 10 times worse as they would have laid a lot more eggs due to the great weather for them we had this year. Glad it was of interest. feel free to share it around with your friends
So we need a 1947 or 63 Winter to steady the little darlings up a bit. I am always singing the praises of the fantastic knowledge base which is TH-cam.
Yes TH-cam is a great resource for folks
When should you start using nematodes on a fresh, newly made raised bed??
The outside soil temps need to be 15 degree c for them to live
hi. I like your video. but how do I know which slug is infected. it's hard to know which one is bumpy, for me , they all look same. what should I do? I found many slug in my plot.
I've seen a couple of these videos. I remember Chris did one a while ago. The issue is that you just don't know if it is working or not. If you see slugs it might be working a bit, and if you don't see any it could just be that they are well hidden. I use the vertebrate friendly slug pellets and they have been the best defence I have had. I certainly am not knocking the idea of nematodes but the idea you can't see them makes it a difficult concept to have confidence in. Great video as always mate. very professional job. All the best.
Aaron's allotment cheers Aaron. nematodes are hard to grasp when you can see but I've been doing it for a few years now with good results
with a microscope, one could check to see if the same nematodes as are in the slug soup then are to be found in the soil. :)
But to identify the right nematode from dozens of others (species) is nearly impossible.
I quite agree with you to have tiny green twigs for radish then leaves appearing two days later is enough for me. I had mushroom growing on a log the slugs got interested in them I just watered the ground and vegetation round the log next day no sign of slugs and the mushroom are getting g larger.
Great video! Do you water down the slug soup, or do you need to make loads of it if you have a larger garden/allotment to cover? Thanks!
`water it down about 10-1
@@simplifygardening Thanks for that clarification. I think you should revisit this issue now in wet Autumn (UK) with a definitive quick video bringing all the points raised over the last 4 years about this method. It could mean the end of poor old slug. Unless, then we need to think of a way of 'saving the slug' - a 'slug sanctuary' perhaps?
Would this work on a clay lawn
So grateful for finding Your video!! I was out this morning to start a bucket and I think I found a infected slug with o hole in its side. Could that be infected with nematodes? I hope so. Another great way to get rid of them is so lure them into a bucket with sourdough and water mixed together. They drown in the sourdough. Thanks again for a very good video!
Glad I could help Hanna
Hi Tony,
Ok, so I have to find one slug that's infected, is that right, and then proceed with the cabbage leaf boat in the bucket? Right?
I've really never seen a snail that looks like that but I do live in Kentucky and maybe we don't have those here.
I'm going to try though.
Thanks Tony and God bless you

all slugs carry it, but u just need to look for one with a swollen mantle
One thing you could do is encourage hedgehogs. They eat slugs. I put cat biscuits and water out for a local homeless cat, and the next thing I knew, I had four hedgehogs who love cat biscuits. Poor old cat has stiff competition these days. But I always make sure he gets some biscuits too.
Hi.Can you tell me if fish blood and bone fertilizer is the same as blood fish and bone? Thank you, John McCarthy
Same stuff john different companies mark it up differently but its all the same
That is totally gross - but totally going to be happening in my garden!!!! Thanks for the info :-)
Oh you will learn to embrace it and love it in the end lol. Bye bYe slugs
Did it work?
Hi, great video, i am just wondering could you use nemaslug to infect the first few slugs and than continue making your own nematode coctials?
Yes you could
HI Tony, thanks for this info. I love this type of new content. One thing I've missed here... Are the slugs already infected that you put in bucket or do you need to apply anything else, or just add random slugs you find. Cheers mate.
Hi bill the ones with raised saddles or bumpy saddles are infected, u just need 1 and it will infect the rest while they eat the raft
@blueray1969 There is also a product called Nemaslug = nematodes for mixing with water... Order on the net or buy in garden store.
@@helengren9349 did you watch the video? He mentions Nemaslug and then tells you how to make your own since that stuff costs so much
Presumably you could collect a bunch of slugs and use Nemaslug to infect them. Then use the infected slugs to make the slug soup?
Slug soup 🤢 what if I don't find an infected slug? I've been looking since this video and I dont see any that seem infected
If you collect slugs in the hope they will be already infected with nemotodes (naturally) wouldn't the soil already be rife with nemotodes already? Or would you dose up the soil first and THEN you use the slugs?
There is absolutely no issues with using this to water your veg. Especially if your watering soil around your veg. Nematodes are naturally occurring in the soil and in fact they are probably one of the most abundant species on the planet. All we are doing is increasing the numbers of the nematodes that attack the slugs. they do not feed on anything else other than the slugs so by the time harvesting comes around there would be nothing on your plants
Wow this is tremendous information. No more blue pellets for me.
Glad it was helpful!
I found this a very useful and informative video. thanks Guys will be doing this next year!!

How long once you make the new nematodes are they good for?
awesome update thank you for sharing have a blessed day
Linda Penney Thanks Linda
Can I use snail as Well?
no it has to be slugs
What temps are ideal for the nematodes to multiply and how long does it usually take the slugs to die - a day or two?
Couple of days, nematodes should be applied when ground temperature is above and stays above five degrees celcius for six weeks or longer. Also be sure to keep the area moist for nematodes to survive.
Woa ...that's a fab solution. Much more effective than my 2 brick method.
Give it a go
how long do i leave the slugs in the bucket?
Does it get the snails too ?
I make a plastic cup with beer and I put it down in my garden and the slugs love it and go into the cup and I put them in a plastic bottle with soap in and there they go after.
Great job May Sorry for the late reply
What do you do with the solids after straining?
Would an old metal sieve work to strain, or is that too fine?
Thats ok to use throw the solids in the compost
Great idea. I have been wiped out this year and will give it a try. I also heard that frogs are good for taking out slugs and have put a pond in. Plus not digging over as digging over kills the nematodes. Any views on these? I think a hedgehog would be best but despite the penthouse hedgehog flat I have built it has sat there empty.
Yes a pond is a fantiastic Idea, in fact I have one on my allotment, It can be seen in my latest video or you can watch how I built it here th-cam.com/video/6iF2p83mYno/w-d-xo.html or if you want a more ellaborate one with a water fall I did a refurb of my mother old concrete pond and you can see that here th-cam.com/video/Q5sHsmtKYzs/w-d-xo.html&list=PLREI92DGCWROye9T8X4rFiETIjEd_Eo1w&index=1
Thanks. I can watch these instead of going out in the weather - still counts as gardening right? Do you reckon the frogs help kill the slugs? I have been out catching slugs for my soup - not the most pleasant job .... any tips on catching the buggers?
Go out during the night after it has rained you will get tons, You will need a torch and tongs lol. Frogs def help with the slugs as do birds hedgehogs so anything you can do to attract those in is brill and they all need a water source so a pond fits perfectly. It's not the nicest stuff but I haven't seen a slug on my plot and other have been ravaged. Oh, one last thing. Watching MY videos count as time and half for gardening ;)
Hi would this work to kill leather jackets, my raised beds are very infected and I can't buy nematodes because of lock down. I've made beer traps and caught a few in them could I use the beer in water for reinfection or just they die in water
I have never tried with them as I dont have an issue. give it a go and see, and if it does let me know ;)
Where can I get nematodes from? I live in the United States and they eat my flowering plants the petunias and impatiens which are in pots, and I just bought hostas spent a lot of money on them I also bought Lily's and want to plant them on the ground
