Thanks for Helping❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️
If it wasn't for your first video you made about the application process last year, I doubt I would have gotten into USC for film. You've been incredibly monumental to the process and can't wait to meet you this fall!
That’s so awesome to hear! Congrats! Super glad I was able to help. See you in the fall! Btw, I have a video coming out in a few weeks that I feel like you will love.
Were you interviewed by USC?
@@seraphinajerome Yes I was!
@@nobiwon3708 thanks for the response 🙏🏽 do you know when you got ur interview request?
@@seraphinajerome I got mine around mid February, but not everyone gets an interview
Please make a wordpress tutorial it would help me a ton!
coming soon
Advices for an International student? I'm from Italy and I'm 16
Love you vid so much! But I have a question. I did a short film for the club I'm in and I get credited and stuff can I use that for my portfolio or I have t make it as my own ?
yea as long as you’re credited as the director, you should be good
Hey man, thanks for the video, may I ask is your video is about the undergrad application process or grad school application process? I am applying to grad school film programs this year and I've been struggling and feeling stressed out about my application materials these days lol
mine is for undergraduate, but a lot of the same principles would still apply for graduate as well. good luck bro!
what do film schools do not accept when doing a film application during college applications? also does the camera when filmmaking really matter too??
How were u able to manage your school life and personal life when also focusing on making loads of films in high school? Im beginning my junior year soon and just can’t find a way to organize my schedule.
hey Johnny, i would personally recommend not making too many films in high school; and make only around 1-2 shorts in your junior year to get better. And use what you learn making these two to make a really solid one the summer before senior year for ur application. Focus ur time on prepping for the act or sat and also make sure you don’t skip out on ur social life for filmmaking, we only experience high school once haha.
Heyyy, just wanted to say - your films’re amazing, ur sooo talented❤️ Always’ve been wodering how were you able to afford such expensive gear and gather a film making team at such a young age? I just don’t have any of those things, i’m also an international student, my parents can’t really help as well, but i want to be like you one day so so much, how did you make it?
thank you so much! I’ve been filmmaking since 5th grade, so like 8 years now. and the first 4 years I used the cheapest cameras and phones. So just remember it’s not about the gear in the beginning but about how well you can craft stories and make the most out of inexpensive equipment. Just keep working and learning the craft and in time you will get to a high level. Also, make sure you enjoy the process.
If I make a website, where should I put it on the application. Btw ilyr videos, been binging them.
I would put the link of the website on the top of your portfolio list, or the top of your resume
Do you know if the length of the portfolio would determine acceptance? I don’t have a very extensive list and the film projects I have done are not so good from years ago, I’m very worried about that
to be honest I don’t really think they care about the length. As long as you have one page of like 3-6+ different things, you should be fine. Also, you still have some time until applications so you might be able to make 1 or 2 more short films to add to your list. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just needs to demonstrate your “artistic” abilities lol.
