At least it isn't a slow withering on the vine for Jaguar...this is an epic debacle right here. To go from the f-pace and f-type to that in one fell swoop...EPIC!
Baby blue and pink are quite a statement if you want to sell to rappers and pimps. It just gets worse for jaguar watching a brand die so quickly is horrendous.
these colours were very popular in britains past dont kid yourself. Yes now they have become symbols separate but they are just colours, no need to wholey associate
Traditional Jag owners are a dying breed and not enough to save the company. The cars weren’t selling, period. They have to do something different to survive and remain relevant. Gerry McGovern is the Chief designer at Range Rover, look at how they are doing. He’s going to smash it with Jag and appeal to a whole new demographic. Folks should just pipe down and wait for the cars to appear.
The only positive thing about this design is the stance, outside that it doesn't look like a Jag, it's generic, the full oposite of "copy nothing". The wheels look they came out from a Range Rover and the headlights from a Audi.
Air resistance: "Am I joke to you??" Car's range: "Apparently you are, so I will have to be also..." Design and style: "aarrgggh..... I can lick my eyeballs!! Ahahahaaaaaaaa!!! I'm a tree!! ROCKS!! I like rocks!!"
I’m the kind of person who has stood by BMW through some of their most controversial design choices, but this Jaguar is indefensible! It’s nothing short of an affront to good taste-an outright abomination.
So it's got 4 round wheels, fits 2 passengers in the front, has a bonnet, a windscreen, headlights, an accelerator and a brake. So which bits of other cars HAVEN'T they copied?
@@B4R0N. I don't care what they make. But their claims of 'Copy Nothing' are extremely disingenuous, as they are literally copying almost everything. There is no re-imagining going on here at all. It's all hyperbole, and they think the more they say these sort of things, the more they will make people believe it.
His voice lacks any excitement, pride, sense of achievement. His delivery is flat and the words are a pastiche. I loved my Jag XK because it put a smile on my face. This pink brick is totally unattractive. BORING and worse than marmite
Even as a concept car it is goddam awful. Putting all the woke crap to one side, this is laughable. The designers , marketeers and managers have failed in every way.
Close to zero clearance underneath, what about potholes, bright pink rocks, not flat driveways or road trash? This car would not make it up my driveway without bottoming out, probably damaging the battery creating a massive fire hazard.
You've certainly caught my attention. Now just before you lose it I'd just like to ask how can you compare the E type with this glorified milk float? It's an i phone on wheels and you won't be able to give these things away in less than 10 years . . . How very 'net zero!'
This is a boring ikea gay car...nobody will copy this fugly gay car you set a standard in what not to do.. Jaguar suicide ok but what about the poor workers loosing their jobs?
Walk the talk. Words don’t match the creation. It’s not because it’s electric that it has to look emotionless. It’s not a tribute, it looks like an AI inspired design requesting to breed the Chrysler Crossfire with a Rolls Royce. The interior is so sad. Why?!!!
If you are rich and eccentric then you will probably love this. Hey this might actually work. If it is expensive enough this could actually save the brand....hot take, I know
The guy stands there on the podium and delivers a self centered cringe eulogy . He is so high on his own bs that he cannot fathom what his client actually want.
This car should be a PHEV (preferably a V8) and EREV (4 electric motors paired to a gas generator/small engine). The side and rear 3/4 are not bad, but the front and back need to be completely redone. Also, the no rear window is not a good idea at all. Get rid of that idea. The Type 00 production car should spawn off a 2+2 GT with butterfly doors and a 4 door (suicide doors) GT and possibly a 4 door SUV. This car uses lots of luxury terms, which is fine, but a GT should also feature some sporting characteristics too. Bentley and McLaren both accomplish this well with their GT offerings. However, a performance focused model is needed. For that, a mid-engine 2 sester layout version should be offered where luxury is included, but performance and driver enthusiasm is the primary focus. That would also serve as the flagship of the brand. All the cars should be in the $150k to $200k+ range (the flagship could be $250k+). All models should have no options, everything standard at that price point and only bespoke tailoring be optional extras. Also, yearly limited production. Do not fill dealer lots with them. Made to order specs from customers only. As for the rebranding, with the plan I just stated, a subtle update to the badges and logos would be beneficial, but it needs to stay a powerful font. The Leaper needs to stay and point in the correct direction. The growler can be modernized a bit but should remain the identifier on the front of every car produced. As for the marketing campaign, throw it all out. It did its job too well getting people to talk about Jaguar and in negative ways. It's time to go back to a marketing campaign that is Jaguar. That's how you fix the mess they have created thus far while still checking some of those boxes JLR so desires. I say all this, but at the same time, I still don't feel like this is a true Jag or ever will be a true Jag, even if they followed what I said above. I think the Jag we all know and love has sadly died, and this will forever leave us empty in our hearts. It captured our love like no other car did. On that note, I will say rest in peace, Jaguar.
I'm afraid of the technology - I hope these cars will not explode or burn up like the latest Jaguars. I am planning to buy one of these when my house on the Moon is ready.
Really I don't hate it. It looks high end and futuristic. The proportions look right to me. I worry though that being full electric will not appeal to the intended customers. If this was some 1000+hp V-12 GT car then I can see it being a success.
"Chief Creative Officer" "We have a concept car" Lol. I actually really like the design. Just like most other concept cars. That were never built. Engineering companies need good design, but design companies will never make good engineering.
It's like you described a car to someone who had never seen one, and them told him or her to design a new car. One has to wonder if these "designs" were dreamed up by actual designers, or small children with a limited number of Crayola crayons.
I think they missed the mark with their advertisement of their teaser. They need to embrace the old logo of the jaguar, at the new logo reminds me of a Tory Birch buckle. Other than that, this looks interesting and the leap into a much different future of cars, which I am glad they are taking. They will make a matte black color of this and it will look like Batman: The Animated Series batmobile and I am for it! Give it a little more time for them, I understand their approach to copy nothing and it's good to take risks, like Elon and the Cyber Truck.
I suspect that this was market-tested in China, where they have cities that look like our gaming PCs. In a place like Chengdu, this thing will look awesome and fit right in. Expensive cars are just not made for British gearheads anymore, because they're not the people with real money. One problem is that Jaguar is now an Indian company, and I'm not sure that spending so much on an Indian product is going to be good for social credit score of the newly-rich in China.
so sad watching the brand die.....:(

The brand was already dying dingy, for decades really, unreliable big time.
They look like kitchen appliances
Why insult kitchen appliances? My dishwasher is much sexier than these drawings.
My mixer looks way better than this, sorry. But it's a KitchenAid.
A bad copy of already bad modern models of Cadillac
Jaguar will go down with this Brick...😜
The Gay Batmobile
To the Gay-mobile. da da da da da
The Buttmobile... driven by Robin obviously.🤮🤮😂😂

Fratmobile
With added rgb colours for added comfort towards my anxiety.
Baby blue and pink are quite a statement if you want to sell to rappers and pimps.

Inspired by the trans movement obviously.
Rappers and pimps are the only ones who could afford it!

Literally, the colors of the trans flag 😂
It wouldn't hurt one bit if "fearless creativity" was also competent design.
just awful, as a jaguar owner, im crying in my heart and looking for a buyer.

yes, a knock-off of a sporty audi - plagiarise nothing

Who cares, I never touched jaguar, unreliable for decades. Lexus has always been the best in this class.
@ Lexus styling and tech is always like 5 years behind imo.

What I feel is.... Jaguar is the Motorola of Car brand at the moment

Isn't Jaguar a British brand? So why was the new car launched in the US? Ugly beasts aren't they.
It was brtish brand and later it became American and later Indian company bought it.
Put it next to an e type or an xjs and it looks like it's been designed by a gcse student. He's having to explain the design. Not good.
The car looks like a Westcoast Customs/Pimp My Ride mod.
