This reaction makes sense because his mind is clouded with temporary hate for her and the family. He still hasn't processed that she could actually actually die. In one of the further episodes, there's a moment he witnesses and then it SETTLES that she could ACTUALLY die.

I'm on Baek Hyun Woo's side because he wasn't really happy about her death, but he is happy because he can not be with Hae In without divorce because he thought that if he asked for a divorce from her or her family found out, they would hurt him, so he thought that this was the best solution for him
yup he's happy that it's going to be the way to escape her family, without having to divorce. hyunwoo says he hates her, but his actions speak otherwise.
Me too. I don’t understand when people initially disliked him over Hae-In. In the first two episode they showcased how he was a good guy and how he liked her before knowing she was rich. He was not a gold digger. And then he became so unhappy during their marriage because they don’t communicate and because he was so suffocated by her family. And through all of that he silently did all of their bidding to the best of his ability. They were slowly killing his spirit and he wanted out. If the family were not known to be so vindictive, he would have asked for the divorce months ago.
@@ryulemon exactly. He had seen first hand how the family treats anyone who divorces a member of the family. Widowhood is the only way out where the family probably won’t come after him. He would have dutifully stayed with her through her final months of life. And while it looks like he was staying to get in her will, he didn’t want that. He wasn’t materialistic. His friend had to convince him.
@@bereasonable8018 i notice that too. people may think he's showing extra care after finding out that she has three months left to make her change her will but throughout all that he doesn't even care about money and even after divorce, he doesn't get alimony. the writer purposely made it look like hyunwoo is kind of a bad husband and gradually shows that he's not, but the criticism he got in the first few eps on twitter was crazy haha to the point that some viewers actually wanted eunsung for haein🤔
@@ryulemon whenever I see comments rooting for Eunsung over HyunWoo I just calmly chuckle and say to myself “Let’s see how you feel later”. Lol. Don’t get me wrong, by the end I felt bad for the man but still HyunWoo is my man.

I love all of your It’s Okay references. While watching this show week to week I binged It’s Okay and loved it. Even binged your reactions to it. Kim Soo-Hyun’s acting is amazingly nuanced and heartbreaking.

When I started this show I was team HyunWoo and very soon after Team BaekHong. The show did a good job giving some of the characters a good backstory. I just wish they did that for more of the characters. This was my first KDrama and now I’m doing a deep dive into Kim Soo-Hyun shows.
Finally my favorite two people are back.
Hope we get Lovely Runner kdrama next....the show is so good and insanely popular rn

In the initial you will probably choose teams but later on tou will just want them to be together and happy. In kdramas it takes time to show the perspectives of different characters.

I am team Hyun woo , no way just because you are going through something makes it ok for you to treat others bad . Man left his family and lived with her just to be treated like a mistress 😂 if the roles were reversed everyone will be like leave that asshole ! Like ik she is protecting him from behind the scenes but from his pov it makes sense to wanna leave . Bro had been crying for yrs in the marriage. Not to mentioned the major power imbalance . It doesnt seem that serious because it was shown in a comical way but man 3 years of that will drive any one to the edge . I dont hate Hae-in, thats my girl but people dont hold her accountable enough. The only reason he was happy about her death news was because man can't leave her world easily until she dies (tbh everyone knows he aint actually happy , the situation hasnt set in to him yet in first 2 eps)
People are picking teams but tbh i don't think that should be the case. The series is about a broken relationship of two complex people and we can see why their relationship is like that. I understand them both
