I remember seeing the new command centre the first time and I was just in awe of it. I loved that it had the old armour and weapons in the background honouring what came before.
The crap that happened with David yost broke my heart when I found out about it growing up.
I still have my super zeo meagzord on display at home!
As a geeky kid in the nineties, seeing David Yost’s character was compelling. I do agree that the stories of how he was treated was sad.

EXACTLY! To properly end the Zeo era, not just move to the chaos of PRT.
Zeo was a twist. I loved the red battle zord and how Tommy had to learn self control in order to master it.
Anyone feel like Tonya is generally over looked from this era? It seems to me like all the other Rangers are talked about a lot more.
She is over looked. And sadly, kinda rightfully so. The character never did much.
I think it's because she wasn't in as much of the show as the other rangers of this season. She was the most recent to join, then left along with the others early into the Turbo season. Her actress is pretty active in the fandom, though; I've been following her for years.

Power Rangers Zeo was my favorite Zordon Era season after MMPR. I was in my early teens then, and sometimes rushed home after remedial class on Saturday afternoons just to watch the show. The Zeo Megazord's helmet changing was an interesting concept, though the thought of the Zeo Megazord removing the Taurus "crotch guard" to wear as a helmet was a little disturbing. My fave episode has gotta be the one where Jason returned and took over as the new Gold Zeo Ranger.
My only gripe other than Billy's exit was Kimberly dumping Tommy via Dear John letter, making way for Katherine taking over as the new love interest, only after a failed (and very unnecessary) match-making session with Heather (played by Sarah Brown from VR Troopers).
The Zeo suits always look the coolest to me!
Super Zeo Zords and Super Zeo Megazord is my favorite.
Its NONSENSE the idea that the Turbo Megazord, and also Rescue, would EVER be stronger than the Super Zeo.
The Super Zeo would easily split Maligore in half.

I would say out of all the seasons of the Zordon era that are my most favorite would be the first two seasons of MMPR- Power Rangers Zeo- and Power Rangers In Space..
Season 1 mmpr was bad except for green with evil. Season 2 was the best mmpr season... season was like... wtf, bad... zeo was the the culmination of the best of mmpr could become. Space was the best of course.
This is a good show. Zeo is actually my favorite season, cuz of the suits. I have heard that reason the gold wears so much black has something to do with the Super Sentai, but I don't get why we called him "gold" and not "black".
It's because we had already had a black ranger and gold just makes it sound more special

Yost’s departure has to be the worst departure of the ENTIRE OG MM cast in my opinion. While Saban firing St. John, Trang & Jones after refusing to give them more money & better acting benefits (which those 3 and the rest of the cast totally deserved BTW) when they explicitly threaten to walk off was most certainly awful, making fun of someone’s homosexuality is quite BEYOND crossing the line. I swear If PR had never existed & Mighty Morphin and Zeo were being produced today, something tells me the company would’ve been in WAY more serious trouble or at the very least, had gotten more intense backlash from fans.
I agree. Saban should’ve been more respectful. The whole reason Yost rejected Legendary Battle was because of the bullying. Jones also rejected it in support of Yost. He has great friends
Back in those days if you were gay you were looked down upon. The 90's was a different time.When I watched arrowverse shows I be thinking if it aired a couple decades earlier Sarah Lance and Curtis would not have worked. I'm not sure if the actors would have even played gay characters back in the 90's.

In my opinion, Kimberly's departure was the worst because MMPR wasn't the same without her.
When Zack, Jason and Trini left I knew this series took a wild turn and it sure did.
Now every time I rewatch Zeo I'm going to imagine the Griffin Family as the villains on the show.
I wish they did more with the dynamic between Tanya and Adam, instead of forcing the Tommy and Catherine romantic subplot in.
I do too! All of my friends said this during quarantine as we are adults now watching with our kids/nieces & nephews (I was the only 1 who really watched PR as a kid). I was like, "yes, I said that as a 9yrold." Nakia & Johnny had natural chemistry!!!

Zeo was based off of Kemet/Egyptian culture.
David Yost left because he was bullied and harassed on the set of the power rangers for being gay. It’s heartbreaking.
It really is I only found that out last year but it was horrible how he was treated like he was patient zero or something

As a kid,I didn't know that Power Rangers was actually a direct copy of the Super Sentai series. Because I only watched the series prior to Zyuranger,so I didn't know about Zyuranger then. Many many years then I found out about the big conspiracy 😂😂😂. So even though they are the same,I do love the Power Rangers slightly more than Super Sentai.🙏🙏🙏. Thanks for these series btw content creator

I always feel Zeo is the strongest ranger team as all the rangers are more experienced then and they got both Tommy and Jason as both leader and second in command

I wonder how the ninja powers would have stood up against the machine empire. Remember they never truly lost their powers in a fight, their power coins were destroyed so it makes you wonder what would have happened if the machine empire invaded a few months earlier.

David Yost/Billy NOT getting the Zeo Gold role is still one of the biggest failures in television.
At that point when they revealed it was gonna be Austin St John as the gold ranger, i was through with watching the show!
It definitely should have happened.
@@secoTheSonicFan The Gold Ranger was powerful but not all-powerful, was not the leader, and at that point Billy and Tommy were both the longest-serving members.
When the Zeo Rangers first came out. I was very impressed with the look and overall design of the Zeo Power Suits! There was gold trimming everywhere. There was a Gold Ranger later on in the show, but all Zeo Rangers had gold trimmings on their power suits and it looked so cool and ancient as if the Zeo Ranger suits were older than the MMPR suits. Even King Mondo had gold trimmings and a gold crown. It was as if gold played a part in the overall theme of the Zeo. I also liked how simplistic but unique the Zeo Ranger helmets are with the symbols.
It’s interesting that the “Power Rangers: the visual history“ guidebook of sorts takes a line straight from the first episode. Specifically from Zordon.
There is a video on TH-cam of Austin St. John actually telling how the show pitched the gold ranger to him and it’s a great watch if u like behind the scenes stuff cause we get his perspective on his first time returning to the franchise after leaving in a pay dispute in season two I would think in the zeo section of that book they would explain original idea to explain what happens to the zeo power in the movie as they transitioned from zeo to turbo cause of that being one of the shows biggest unanswered questions cause turbo was pretty much treated as a back door introduction to the turbo powers and the show picking up where the movie left off in like the first movie thst was pretty much it’s own thing with the show doing it’s own explanation of where the ninja powers came from in season 3
I really liked Zero. I would have to say the Ninja Era was personally my favorite though. When they got those Ninja costumes then went into full blown Power Rangers that's also when White Ranger came out. I Stoped watching at the start of Wild Force. I was to old by then to continue. When Power Rangers came out I was 11. I wouldn't tell anyone that I watched it cause I felt like I was even to old then.
They got me through some hard times my parents splitting and then just 2 years later my dad passing

I'm a simple man; I see Zeo, I click like.
My favorite season though I grew up watching the original MMPR, I would always watch MMPR in the library at my school. But In Space is my absolute favorite season! But when going to Elementary they would have it playing in the library, I was shocked they showed it. I always got there early enough to watch the episode.

King Ranger is a black ranger then in Zeo, they called it the Gold Ranger. King Riki, a young warrior from the past who became a valuable ally to the OhRangers. King Trey, divided into three, a warrior from a distant planet and uses his weapon to morph unlike King Riki who has a cool 'zeoniser' at his disposal. Parallels are so awesome, not written lazy.

@@zachb5433 yeah, from what I've seen on an interview he was directly bullied and walked off set and didn't return. He also tried undergoing conversion therapy to cure his homosexuality and attempted suicide. It really made me sad to find out as a kid I really looked upto Billy. I never thought someone could be unhappy making kids so happy. From what I've read he's fine now. It just saddens me to know that someone could be so unhappy making kids so happy.

THEORY : What happened to Rita and Zed after Zeo series ended ? Zed and Rita are back on the moon and they sent the remains of King Mondo and his family to the United Alliance of Evil in exchange for one sit on the table of Universal Dominance . Dark Specter agree but he wants the complete and utter destruction of The Power Rangers and where given Royal Decree for Rita and Zed to occupy the vacuum of The Machine Empire . Finster soon finds a piece of what they need to power up Serpantera for good . While Zed and Rita are on their way to Earth with Serpantera , they release the invasion force of the Machine Empire but the rangers make quick work of the few waves . Zed and Rita arrive and park Serpantera just a few feet away from the command center and just as he is about to pull the trigger , Rita starts to get sick and Finster tells her she is pregnant just enough for her to faint . Zed curses that he is so close to be victorious but if they stay here , there is a risk for the baby. He fires his staff and controls the Mother Ship of The Machine Empire to fall down on Earth at the command center location . Needles to say it was a close call and the Zeo Rangers sacrifice their Zords in order to destroy The Machine Empire base just as it enters orbit . Zordon tells them that their Zeo Powers are still intact but needs them to adapt something new he is working on with Billy and Alpha . Zed hides Serpantera on the moon and they return to their space buss and ask Rita s father to arrange a permanent retirement for them in the Alliance of Evil . Dark Specter tells that soon he will be rid of all the rangers in the Universe and that Rita and Zed ow him a favor if and when the time comes
Now THAT would be a proper transition from Zeo to Turbo and also a proper story for a movie, unlike Turbo’s.

If they had made all of turbo as good as the second half it could've been a much better show, I still personally enjoyed it though but mainly because I've always been into cars plus I'll admit the megazords are pretty awesome looking
Saban had to adapt the Super Sentai seasons in proper sequence unfortunately. After OhRanger came CarRanger, followed by MegaRanger. As we all know, the producers only started skipping seasons after Super Megaforce, skipping Go-Busters in favor of Kyoryuger, which we know as Dino (Super) Charge.

@@chrisneely3069 that's fine most fans just don't like the season period, I just personally found the second half to be better than the first, considering the Sentai counterpart was a parody season I thought it was fine, there were definitely worse seasons like operation overdrive or super megaforce though

I never understood the line where Billy "gives up" his powers, that was the yellow crystal - it was Aisha's who then gave it to Tanya, it was never his to give away in the first place.

The Gold Ranger 1 of the koolest 6th rangers hands down.
I really wanted the Ninja and Shogun Zords to have a more satisfing final appearence before the transition to Zeo. Shogun Megazord had what appeared to be an underwhelming standard battle but the Ninja Megazord was simply fazed out from the series when the Alien Rangers took over.
Small correction, you were very close about when Tommy actually joined the team but it was actually episode 22 or 23, The green with evil mini series starts on episode 17
That Billy transition was gold dust. Did they write his exit so far ahead? The story leading up to his exit was perfect.

probably because season 1 was a huge success I found it bad Jason and Zack were being replaced.
You can't just take their "position". Also I use to think that Rocky is really weak compare to Jason, they were 2 red rangers but one turned blue and the other gold lol

David Yost’s style change made him look much better in Zeo. I was tired of him being labeled an unfashionable geek.

There is an episode in the season of the zeo Rangers where Tommy was kidnapped and was brainwashed but he was saved but there was another part to the episode where he was kidnapped Again by Machine Empire and was brainwashed again but they never touched on it I was wondering if any of you know about that episode or what happened

zero still had that mighty morphin feel. liked the suits and characters and villains. they just got a power upgrade that worked. kat still looked cute. anything after zoo I didnt care for. except for maybe power rangers time force and power rangers dino thunder.

I wonder if the power chamber was basically just the basement of the command center set, like there was a whole entire sat underneath the command center one. Like in the show.

I am a fan that believes that Zeo was one of the best Power Rangers seasons, but to me, it was absolute bullcrap the way that the Zeo season ended, with Hawaii Zeo and Good as Gold especially. Here is what I would've done for the Power Rangers Zeo finale:
Archerina and Prince Gasket launch an attack on the moon with hundreds of cogs, destroying Rita, Zedd, and their minions, as well as capturing Serpentera. This wins over King Mondo, making him very grateful for his first built son, and welcomes Gasket and Archerina back into their family. The Machine Empire then launches an all-out war on Earth, with the newly infinite-powered Serpentera, hundreds of gearships, hundreds of quadrofighters, and thousands of cogs invading and destroying the world's major cities. All of the rangers' megazords are no match for the full might of the Machine Empire, and end up being completely destroyed. This in turn, shatters the Zeo Crystal. During this mighty struggle, Jason still manages to return his gold ranger powers to Trey of Triforia. Once the powers go back to Trey, Trey takes Pyramidas and tries to stop the Machine Empire. The empire overwhelms him, Pyramidas is destroyed, and the gold ranger is slain in battle. Faced with the greatest insurmountable odds, the Rangers, Alpha 5, and Zordon create the Turbo powers to try to end the Machine Empire's reign of terror. I'm really not sure how exactly to keep going with this, but I think that would've been more sensible of a Zeo finale. It also would justify the introduction of the Turbo powers much more.
The real problem with Zeo is Mondo and Machina were just not as good of villains as Lord Zedd and Rita. Sproket, Gasket, and Klank weren't nearly as good as Goldar, Rito, and Finster. They all bickered hilariously and had such great chemistry.
In the superhero genre, good villains are just as, if not more, critical to your story as good heroes.
I noticed they tried to recreate that in the next season with Divatox trying to be Rita 2.0 and more banter among the henchmen. But it just didn't land.
Zeo in my opinion is probably the most powerful power ranger team ever!🤩🙌💝

Out the zordon era I'd say in space was the best then mighty morphing then zeo and the less said about turbo the better

Have they ever given a reason for why the Rangers are numbered the way they are in this season? Like, why is Pink number 1? Shouldn't Red (the team leader) be number 1? The only thing I can come up with is the shapes/lines on their visors. Pink has 1 large oval, Yellow has 2 thin ovals, Blue has a 3 sided triangle, Green has a 4 sided rectangle & Red has a 5 pointed star. Does the guidebook list a reason?
