Hear me out. I was born in Portugal in 1984. I have no musical training, I have no religious education, I have no hard family education binding me to anything in particular.That being said, I developed a resonance and love to classical music, some form of love for it and identity for it in particular, that I cannot explain. This performance resonates with me on so many levels... I don't know exactly why, where, by whom musical performances are brought into existence for in general - for me, if they touch me, it's because of their passion, dedication, discipline in training and love in general for human life, experience, etc., they convey in their performance... I am blessed, in 2020, to exist in an era that so many beautiful performances are so easily shared on TH-cam and other platforms. That you for this beautiful performance and for all the hard work that each musician no doubt had to live through to make it happen! I cannot imagine what all your hard work has bee but I can tell you that all that paid off in my experience listening to it and how that it made me feel so much....... HUMANITY!. So, again, thank you so much and keep it up!

When I listen to fine classical music, one might say I am transported to a higher plane of being where there is only peace. The ordinary, troublesome and mundane aspects of life disappear. How quickly this spell disappears when people express their appreciation with noisy applause, screeching and howling. This is why I do not go to live concerts or in this case make sure I hit the pause button at its end.

Government is a big problem.
Along with my sister Julie Wittes Schlack, I was in a choir that performed this piece at a socialist summer camp called Shaker Village ~ 1966, near Pittsfield, MA USA. I loved it then and love it now. The tempo of the first movement is much faster than we had sung it, which took me a bit off-guard. I love the baroque instruments in this recording.
Over 20 years ago, I sung this in choir before. I have always loved this.

@@descartesdonkey4291 Now that is passion for music :-) I enjoyed every moment and nuance of the performance it is unparalleled in my estimation, I have watched it six or seven times, there is no beating Vivaldi, I love baroque music, but to me, in the final analysis to really appreciate any piece of music it is with eyes closed to shut out all other stimuli. All the soloist were impeccable, especially the soprano will the black and white dress, so beautiful and expressive I could have watched and listened to her all day. Am I still a selfish "bastard" :-) ? I forgot the countertenor, he was equally impassioned.

You mean the lady in white and black dress, don't you? (I agree, she is pretty.) Who sang here tenor? Both male soloists's voice is alto/countertenor. If I am not wrong, Vivaldi's both soloists are sopranos.
