I must have ridden this particular ferry about 100 times as a younger person. I'd moved away, and it's only today that I've learned of its hideous fate! Though the depiction of the attack and sinking of this most beautiful ship is grisly indeed, I suspect that these "Tragedies At Sea" must be chronicled! The gentleman who described this disaster is to be congratulated!

There really was a ferry of that name back in the day; I rode it many, many times when the ferry was part of my daily commute, from 1964 to 1970. I don't know if it's still in service; maybe not!
