I am glad you aren’t a big name reseller. I feel like you are my secret and I learn a lot. Love your style and humor too. Keep doing what you do. Every video is a treasure and I rewatch them. I prefer to sell small items too and with the cost of shipping it’s a good thing.

A few pieces of information: That old looking brooch looks like it might be made by Neiger - great find! Dye can also come off on simichrome tests, so you need to be sure it’s not the dye turning the simichrome yellow. The monogrammed earrings are at the earliest 1966 since that’s when the first screw-hinged clip-on earring was patented. Thanks for the great videos!

Rusty, I'm thankful you're respectful to those you interact with through your business exchanges. :)
Also, its exciting to find things "in the wild" (instead of a jewelry store) High five cousin...keep searching...its out there. ...just collecting dust waiting for someone that appreciates granny's old things.
Makes me giggly too when I realize I've found a precious metal piece or something that contains gemstone materials. Thanks for all the content on locating research reselling. Swonderful.

I appreciate that. He says that he doesn’t shove cameras in peoples faces while he’s talking to him at sales. I really hate the contact producers who gleefully chew People down on prices when they know they’re gonna be able to get a great deal for it and then they make the people out to be idiots too. It’s super rude and I’m very glad you’re not doing that.

I'm really glad I came across your videos. You back up what you say about selling items and the money you actually bring in. I did ebay 17 or so years ago and things seemed so simple to do back then. I let myself get scared off selling because of the changes, thinking I had to photos that looked professional and the shipping was damn scary!. Yours look great and you sell! Thanks for the encouragement!!!

@@Margot5twofor53Oh The sponsorships don’t bother me, i skip them and I know people are trying to make a living off of TH-cam videos so they accept sponsorships and that’s ok. What I don’t like is when they make “reselling” videos all about them. Sounds harsh but imagine if I spend all my time on youtube just watching what people eat in a day, what they order at Starbucks, how their dog is so cute etc. What a waste of my time, i could be learning something instead🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Up until the late 1890s through to today, purses are more popular than pockets because dresses and trousers were slender. Lumps were not what one wanted to show on one's thin torso. It was very easy to hide pockets, even for umbrellas in fashions ie. Hoopskirts. Paniers could hide an awful lot of things in their pockets. In the late 1790s to the late 1820s when reticules "handbags" were first popular because the dresses were first slender.

9:20 - It's a "toggle clasp". At 9:20, we can see the little loop which the treads are knotted on. If it's wielded shut, it's probably silver. If not... Wielding little part is costly and time consuming, hence they are not on mock jewelry. North-African and Middle-Eastern artisans are veeeery good at disguising mock jewelry as silver. Good purchase anyway, would have bought.
17:10 - Part of a bracelet, repurposed as a brooch. I've had a similar bracelet.
26:40 - Mathey-Tissot is not a watch brand. Tissot is. Never ever buy a damaged quartz watch.
Very good pick for the Chimento. It's an Italian brand.
    Damn I love your videos.
