Tax benefits are considered cash or non cash ?...if you pay an allowance to an employee via payroll is this cash benefit?

Hi. The thing I don't understand in this 2023 year, is why appears the taxable benefits in my paycheck as more money for me but at the end after withhold I get less money than before that taxable benefits?
