Definitely Not Me Same! I played this all the time as a little kid several years after it was released and I loved it. I used to play free roam all the time. I also played the first campaign mission all the time not realizing it wasn't free roam. Good times. I really do miss this game.

Almost impossible to hit a car in a crossing in GTA because they always brake when you approach them. In Driver it's totally the opposite. Way more realistic

OMG!! THE MUSIC, THE SIRENS, THE CARS!! Such nostalgia! Sadly, my copy of the game disc broke when I lifted the lid to my ps1, that was snugly shelved and it *cracked* the disc in TWO!! I was devastated!! Soon after the ps2 came into our lives and so did GTA Vice City. Thanks for the nostalgia trip!

Ubisoft Reflections, Sennari made this game. They made a Driver 3 but it is completely different and hard to get a hold of. For some reason you cant buy from UPlay, Steam, and many other places. Look up "The Game Ubisoft Doesn't Want you to Play on YT" the guy talks about Driver 3 and how hard it was to get the game.
I remember the moment where you get to play GTA3 and were so happy that you can actually drive over people. In Driver they always jumped away on time. :D

For some reason the most remembered mission in the game was in Havanna when you had to chase four crazy cars in a row, I made like 200 attempts to pass that mission when I was a kid. Tonight I`ve done it after 3rd attempt.

The coolest thing about this game as a kid was me finding that they actually had a dance performance place I went to (Ballet) fully modeled in the game, same staircase leading up to the door. Really incredible level of detail and of all the places I wondered why it was so... accurate. Driver 2 rules!

I had the bootleg edition of this game for my tuned ps1 together with resident evil 3, spiderman, crash bandicoot 2 and 3 and many more. I spend several hours playing all these games. Its really nostalgic when thinking about that time. I am now 30 and i have a daughter of 3 years. When i played this game I was 10/11 years maybe..really make you think about life
No special tweaks. Due to the constant loading of the level/elements massive slowdowns happen when playing on the PSX; instead I played the game on my computer (hard drives have faster reading speeds than CD-ROMs) thus I had only minor slowdowns.
Which is weird because I always expected it to be CD Audio which makes it impossible to "stream" (permanently pre-loading from the disk). But now it sounds like a cheap 50 KByte MIDI.^^
