Infamous bald "person"
Honestly, one of the best guests for this show.
Underated guy
@@Lord_Marquaad Right? One of the most entertaining episodes easily, and I've watched these forever now. Deserves much more of a viewcount. Looking forward to watching the new animal ambassadors grow, and learning more about them.
I absolutely agree. He was one of my favorite guests. He is so interested, curious, handles the animals so well. And funny as well!
He definetly is! And hes alwasy so genuinely curious about the animals
he did this stream while sleep deprived and starving but was still a great guest to have around, what a legend. found out recently that he's well known by most content creators and they all adore him
Ngl it was nice hearing a guest ask so many questions and seem so invested! Very awesome experience.
shout out to jack for listening and being genuinely curious
Jackâs old smoker uncle voice is actually perfect for Georgie, one of my fav guests :)
winnie's straight up teenager eye roll is so cute
"evil things are green" no need to shame Shrek liked that ð
For whoever wants to know, we have two nostrils because we use our noses both for smell and breathing.
Unlike dogs, cats and other two-nostrilled animals, we don't have stereo olfaction, because our nostrils point downward only and sit too close apart.
But if you have noticed, one of your nostrils is always a little bit stuffed, and this shifts every so often.
Higher intake of air in one nostril means higher intake of oxygen, while the slower intake in the other nostril means it's easier to pick up scent particles. Because both the oxygen intake and the olfactory sensors are beyond the nose, inside you, it doesn't matter which nostril does what at any given time, you still get the same sensation. But alternating it like this ensures both nostrils keep somewhat moist, allowing for the filtering of particles into your mucus so you don't ingest bad stuff through your nose straight to your lungs.
The worst is when you ARE aware of the air going through a specific nostril because one of your nostrils has been clogged for a long time because of a cold and it finally clears and, like, the nerves or whatever in there are like AIR?? IT'S SO COLD. THIS IS SUCH A DIFFERENT SENSATION. OMG.
Or maybe that's just me.

The Vod for this was amazing and now it's time to watch the edited version.
Nothing is better than Maya at the sanctuary. Love these guest episodes (and the voices Maya makes for each animal)
holy cow, Maya is GORGEOUS in that thumbnail. omg
Maya a certified dime.
Sheâs like 500% happier than she was 3 years ago.
I love when the dude realizes the grass puppy wants cow treats so she like '"no, you've had your treats, stop butting in."
mik was quick with this one
He nailed exactly what I thought Georgie would sound like
jack always reminds me of scout from tf2
He's really cute.
You should keep him.
Aw he is such a sweet and positive-vibes kinda guy ðĨ°
Iâve been aware of Maya for at least 3 years, and Iâve never seen her this happy as sheâs been with alverus. Good for her. ð
I have the same kind of tortoise!! Her name is Shelley and we got her about 10 years ago when her first owners were moving and couldnât take her with them. Sheâs probably 16-18 years old and sheâs so cool I love her. She is actually surprisingly fast (but only when you look away for 3 seconds or if you have her favorite food)
Jack was on barely any sleep and was energetic the whole time
Georgie really sounds like Joey Diaz
Georgie as voiced by Tom Holland doing a Joey Diaz impression
The timing of Maya talking about the monkey's job of seed dispersal being shitting everywhere at the exact moment that the monkey starts climbing Jack's head...perfection.
Wicked fast editing. clappp Mik
Okay off topic but the pastel nails are so cute
Good Georgie voice
My favourite tf2 cosplayer
best tour yet
Jack was such a great guest! Very funny but he was genuinely invested and energetic.
Fun!
i feel like jack would do really well with children based on how chill he is with the animals
good one
love these edits!
As someone who also owns a sulcata, i can confirm they are deceptively quick when they want to be. Pushpop was just chilling af
Maya looks so tall and strong in the thumbnail. So diferent.
Letting it crust is wild
Looks great!
jack looks like a dad with his drink and standing likle that
I KNOW JACK FROM ELLIE I LOVE THIS (I haven't watched yet I'm 10 secs in)
awww this was cute
Should see if serpa design would do a visit
âĪ
Jack is good at irl
Finally!!! Someone outside of Australia who says Emu right ðððð
Maya looks incredible!
Georgie is my favorite little guy by far
Alveus gang PLEASE do a collab with fishingarrett!!!! He can playfully yoink all the animals he would be great with them :)
iâm new to ur channel and i really like it i really want to do what you do, animal conservationist, rescue rehab release (sometimes release) i am inspired by you, iâm 17 and iâm a sophomore in high school. where did you go for school to do this job? itâs my dream my name is ivey
Is that a big enough container for tortellini?
I don't think that's the main enclosure, just what they use for transportation for the collabs since they don't handle him directly
Animals rule
Maya carrying this channel on her back, I know her shoulders hurt.
my deimatic display is putting a pee stain way low down on my pants
JACK!!!!!!!âĪâĪâĪ
Maya reminds me so much of Aubrey Plaza.
Itâs all well and good saying donât use pesticides but if thatâs literally saving your stock what can you do
I wish she expanded more on this.
She gave an example of more natural ways to stop bugs eating your crops, cinnamon, eggshells, cayenne
@@Saturnm0ss fair enough thanks
Do you think Georgie appreciate encouragement By sensing It ð
What are they looking att?
is Alveus part of Amazon Smile? i'd love to yall as my charity choice.
(Amazon Smile puts a small part of purchase amount to a charity of your choice, i know you guys do the unboxing streams for the wish list too so more bang for the buck
Why is it called the jacobson organ?
The person who discovered it was named Ludvig Jacobson. Most of the time when something has a seemingly unrelated name itâs cause itâs the last name of whoever discovered/invented it.
@@ry1792canât believe mogul mail discovered the Jacobson organ. Wicked
georgie is so CHONK
maya âĪâĪâĪâĪ give me back my Hearth PLS âĪâĪ

shorter snouts and spots are not bred for! IT IS AN EFFECT OF DOMESTICATION SYNDROME. selective breeding in canines for domestic behavior creates these as a SIDE EFFECT
the exception being fur farms, where all kinds of coats, but NOT short snouts, floppy ears or domestic behaviors, are obviously going to be selectively bred
Saying either factor is the only factor in every case is incorrect. For example in pugs and many other short faced dog breeds (although not all) it is definitely selectively bred for. But in foxes, it's definitely a side effect.
@@FeeshUnofficial sure, but im not talking about aesthetic selection in dogs. just domestication syndrome
@@XcaptainXobliviousX you said, and I'm gonna quote you verbatum here: "shorter snouts and spots are not bred for!" "selective breeding in canines for domestic behavior creates these as a SIDE EFFECT," 'these' referring to shorter snouts and spots. As you can surely understand: this implies you're talking about the development of shorter snouts and spots in canines in general, not just foxes
@@FeeshUnofficial because it does happen in general, but that doesnt mean it only happens when selecting for domestic behavior, only that it always happens when selecting for domestic behavior. those are not the same. they do not mean the same thing.
on a side note, did you know not all rectangles are squares?
HOW ABOUT MAKE A VIDEO WHIFT AHFMAU AND NOI

Invite *WoahVicky* please
Transgender bird
I'm sorry but I feel like this young man did the lady a disservice by cursing all through the video ðĒ
Maya is chill, donât worry. Jack was actually one of the more tame guests. As long as support for Alveus Sanctuaryâs mission and the education is communicated, thatâs what matters most!
