New Channel Shout Out & A Look At Some Very Old Custom Builds From My Teens/Twenties

- This video is mainly to give a long time friend Lee Croden a Shout out for his new Channel @KrowKustoms. If you like stylised body work & bubble tops Lee is your man and most importantly a fellow Yorkshire man. Go check his channel out and watch his first couple of videos.
Just to add to the video I've included a few of my old builds, some over 25 years old and some showing age more than others. I don't usually show my old builds so this one is a rare video, however if you want to see more let me know in the comments.

Thanks Adam, I have quite a lot of this old stuff and despite their faults most would still display well with a few repairs here and there. Always fancied doing the Jade Idol Merc so maybe one day I'll pull out the airbrush again 🙂 thanks again mate and hope you're keeping well.

Absolutely no problem mate and again happy to do it 🙂 That Pontiac has always been a bit of a favourite of mine too... For some reason it reminds me of the old lesney/matchbox 65 Oldsmobile with the illusion of a massive trunk area and colour I did it in. Good luck with your channel anyways pal and hope this video brings in a couple more subs here and there 🙂

John, what a coincidence that You would mention Krow Kustoms! A few weeks ago I followed him on facebook and then I saw he was on here! Now I find that the two of You are good friends! Talk about your double headers!! This will be so awesome ! I really like Your style of building and now I will be just as satisfied with Your Friends work!! Twice the Bang!! I think it grand that You have builds from Your youth! I sure wish I still did! Oh well, Live and Learn, Right? All of those are Oldies but Real Fine Goodies!! Gee Whiz, where to start? Real sharp 2+2, the paint on the '57 is very nice, that body work on the '64, WOW!! Now that is a fine example of what customizing is all about!! Oh, I like the title for Your "NEW" video segment, "Junky Old Things," Nice! Hey can't say it enough, I am looking forward to the next video John!! Thank You for sharing with Us here out in tubeland! @@russellpoland6637 Thanks so much Russell and Glad you found Lees channel, he's a great guy and really doesn't mind chopping up old rare stuff 😂 Thanks for the kind comments on "my old junky builds too", I'm glad I kept most of them despite them needing a repair or two and showing signs of age. I had sold a few I really regret and have been just waiting for them to reappear on eBay one day but so far I've had no joy, hopefully someone else is enjoying them though and I still live in hope 20 years later 🙂 Many thanks again Russell, it's greatly appreciated.

Do luv that Pontiac, it reminds me of a Pontiac Parisienne Canadian non wide track in blue id see weekends in the mid 70s as a youngster on route to Twickenham, it was a highlight of the week, around then I saw the American Hell Drivers stunt team when they came to Twickenham, still have the Program, on the front was an AMC Javelin but they used uk cars. Now enjoying watching this great vid.

Really did like watching the hells drivers but never seen them in person... Was a big stunt fan in my early years and always remember the likes of Brian Carson etc, only problem was the pyrotechnics they started using in the 90s always seemed to completely obscure the impacts which was then when interests faded.

@@J.B.Scale.Creations Hi JB, Yes stunts back then were fun to watch, your right about those Pontiacs they were massive, largest car I went in was an olds 88 or 98 Delta made in the early 70s when I was on holiday in Canada, it was really smooth, acres of space inside with electric seats,blue inside and out, the family I stayed with had a 1978/9 Olds Cutlass Supreme Brougham 260ci V8 in beige I enjoyed thar too.
Funny enough I parked my 70 GTO next to an Olds Toronado once and the Olds dwarfed it, these kind of cars from days gone by are amazing and making models of them is great fun, for my birthday I just got an AMT 67 Chevelle and waiting on the AMT Nova and AMT 66 Mustang saloon, think i've got the model making bug.

Nice work John. Green Merc has a ‘60 Thunderbird grille and front bumper is a ‘57 DeSoto grille bar, both from the AMT custom parts pack I’d guess…
The gold Merc taillight surrounds look like the custom headlight pods from the ‘61 Galaxie.
When you gonna finish that thing John? 😂
