Morning Ian, At £146k you'd be very disappointed if the Claas wasn't comfortable. Narrow lanes and big kit are a gold mine for mirror manufacturers, won't be cheap to replace. I did notice the lorries wheels were right on the edge of the white line, on your side. 🙀
I did a 1/4 speed review. The driver was right on the line, but he was also right up against a wall. Neither of you could have done anything. There was such a lip at the shoulder that you couldn’t have gotten over more anyway. Sometimes life happens.

Having learnt to drive in a tractor from a truck driving farmer, I understand the trials and tribulations of larger vehicle drivers better than most and yes a HGV does benefit from some careful consideration to make the road a safer place but that does not include thundering on regardless, that is just stupid! We have three big local tipper firms - 2 of them have great drivers, very courteous, if they have to cross the middle of the road or are coming towards anything tight, slow down and are ready to stop. If you see the third company coming towards you, you put it in the hedge because they are incredibly agressive and the worry is always that they will be battering rams - I have lost a couple of mirrors to them over the years and on both occasions, well inside my lane. Fortunately the problem fleet are in distinctive colours so you can spot them easily.
Charfield hill. I remember coming out of MJ fews back in the day with my father in his naturally aspirated 2.5 diesel Land Rover, I felt like it took forever until the top. Lol

I watched a neighbor last fall hire a digger crew to take in his hedges and remove a hedgerow completely to make his field both bigger and accessible for his new potato harvester on tracks.. I just sat there and thought, Mate your machine is just too big..lol... Stuff like this will just start to happen all the time now, new holland t7hd on a hedgecutter passed me the other day.. Might as well have been the space shuttle on its way to kennedy space centre... ;]

Ride comfort is one of the best on the market reliability can be suspect just my opinion with the experience of claas tractors try a john deere maybe valtra as well
Good morning Ian..😄😄😄. OK this is how we do it. That brand new Class tractor you crashed was worth 146k, with an insurance claim against it now about 100k. I will now buy that tractor and sell it to you for 110k. See...everyones happy😄😄
Claas are one of the most comfortable tractors on the road, four post cab suspension. Unfortunately, that bloody front axle is a right pain to maintain, and extremely expensive to repair. Tractor manufacturers are going to have to make telescopic mirrors standard as this is becoming a big problem since the Mother regulations were introduced.
As a few days others have said times that happened to me it slammed the glass door an smashed it to smithereens ☹️ as they say "shit happens"😡 good video 👍
Not taking sides here but there are many instances of youtubers talking to camera whilst driving and it could be argued with reason and justification that it may impede and affect one's concentration and hence driving standard. I am not making a judgment on Farmer P here but it is an observation which I believe has merit.

I reckon it is a fairly common occurence between wide vehicles on the road. You might enjoy driving a Leyland 272, as I do, not able to travel too fast due to its independant steering and variable brakes :)

A friend of ours had a truck hit the wing mirror on his motorhome so hard that it smashed into the side window, glass everywhere. Frightened our friend half to death. This was in New Zealand

Ian ! Dont want be a bore , but have u checked rules about having an unsecured dog (elephant even ) in tractor cab . Not legal in car apparently . Never had elephant on back seat yet but probably overloading !

That's a very common thing between two lorries on narrow road's and because your mirrors are the same it happens to tractors, also its nothing unusual, my son drives articulated lorries, and tractors and he has lost count of the incidents, you soon learn to fold them in on the narrow road's. not to worry, the lorry just kept going.
Its happened to us all lan , accidents annoying but the main thing no ones hurt , the mirror can be replaced ....these narrow roads werent designed for todays larger tractors n lorrys .....annoying when it's not your own vehicle l know ......ps l dont think Biscuit was very amused ....
To big for your job need just bit smaller one .not sure on the fuel use also is what you need to think about try everything on the market first then decide best suits you .

Looks a good tractor , Whats the servicing costs ? . I had one of those tractors pass me with a two axle trailor loaded with Potatoes , going like hell ,I was driving my little MF 135 LOL .
That's quarry tipper drives for you I've even had them tack the mirror's off my 44 ton truck before now some of them don't give a sh1t owner operator's would slow down because the cost of mirror's come out there own pocket and there not the cheapest thing to buy but drivers payed by the tonne are some of the worst on the road.
Hello Farmer P 😊. Oops 💥🤷♂️. Rotten luck, there, Farmer P. One would think, in this day and age, some gadget designer could have come up with a wing camera, similar to the reversing cameras. But of course, that would put the wing mirror trade out of business. Can't have that now, can we 😱. Sorry, Farmer P but the vibes I got from Biskit were the Arion was not to her liking. Although she likes to see what is going on around her, with nothing but glass all around her seemed to leave her feeling exposed with no cover to hide in. Most creatures like to have a hidy hole to duck into when feeling threatened. Also, when she was lying against the center post, which had switches all the way up it, I thought there was a danger she could switch one of them on or off. Personally, I would rather her little body is protected by the metallic element of the tractor frame rather than the glass. At least if a wing mirror is clipped and breaks through the cab glass, she is out of the line of fire. Anyway, we do not have to worry about the Arion since it is not an option. She is happy on the Case. 🐶 Thanks for super videos, Farmer P. Been binge watching since the Arion came to the farm. Been laid low with food poisoning, thanks to our highly efficient govt electricity dept turning off the supply 3 to 4 times a day/night for 2 or more hours a time. @@FarmerP Well in Belgium we also have narrow roads but it's sometimes a bit of a shock when your mirror gets knocked off & you're unlucky but everything can be fixed, I've been following you for quite a long time & subscribed because enormously a farming enthusiast!

Yes exactly mirrors are wide on our 410 I swing the left one forward and the right one backward to make them fit true narrow roads.

I've done the same in a 650 arion, the claas mirrors must be magnets for objects although mine was a tree, luckily they are quite cheap
I think the warning light on the right, is telling you that your Pick-up- hitch is locked

If you want the seat a bit higher when your pumping it up just bounce on the seat it should stop it going down that’s what I do when driving a Claas
