  • Of all the classic design forms, the vertical has such power, but it can be soft and elegant, too. In this Flower School How-To Video Leanne takes the basic vertical design up a notch, working with texturally interesting materials and a feminine vibe. Garden roses, hydrangea, veronica, Phalaenopsis orchids, and baby's breath (YES!) combine to create a stunning design duo. Enjoy!

      Those three words are perfect descriptions for this beautiful arrangement, Alison! White roses and the baby's breath are an exquisite combination and it really comes together in a lovely way. We love that this is actually two arrangements in one, Tracey! It's divine with its ivory hues and the components that Leanne used to create them. Thank you very much for taking a moment to enjoy it and for letting us know what you think. We appreciate you spending time on our channel and learning more. It's a pleasure to have you here and we look forward to the next time we can get together. Cheers to you and please have a splendid week working with flowers!

      That's an excellent point, Shivam! This would be a beautiful and relaxing design to see after a busy day. The green and white is a cool and crisp color combination and it is restful on the eyes. We love how you described this design: like a sweet white fragrance, melodious... That's a perfect way to express it. Thank you so much for all of your kind and lovely support for what we do. We really appreciate it and adore everything you post for us. Wishing you a most marvelous week and hope that all is well with you!

    aboslutely love the arrangements would love to see different color variations of this design like one with colors like Mauve,Blush,Coral and Burgundy or even one in the more earthy tones.

      That's an interesting idea, Gabriel! It would be fascinating to see this pair of arrangements done in other colors. Some of the materials would probably change, but you could create an overall similar look and feel for the most part. White arrangements are elegant, but some people prefer color in their floral designs. Either way we hope to share both with you, and thank you for taking the time to see them all!

      You have the most perfect way of describing our arrangements, Emmanuel, and we love it so much! This gorgeous pair of designs is all three of those things: immaculate, elegant, and stylish. Leanne chose such a rich assortment of blooms for this combination: roses, orchids, hydrangeas, carnations, veronica, and together they shine with beauty. Thank you so much for stopping by to say hello and watch the show. We always love to see you, and hope that you are doing well. Best wishes to you, and hope your week is filled with flowers in every way!

    These arrangements are the essence of elegance. Yes, two, however because of the exquisite Phalaenopsis, the eye perceives only one, arrangement and is conceptually, a grand canvas! This is truly inspirational, as it was meant to be. For those non florists who watch who just love flowers this is so attainable. Thank you, or as is said in Hawaii, mahalo nui loa!

      You have described this design so exquisitely, Doane! It's true that the eye perceives only arrangement, and it is a grand canvas conceptually as you mentioned. We are delighted to hear that you feel inspired by it and we appreciate you taking the time to watch our latest show. We love to read your posts as they are such beautiful summaries of what we do. Thank you very much for joining us and for your tremendous loyalty and support. We hope you have a truly magnificent week and mahalo nui loa to you as well!

      Hello Tường, and welcome to the Flower School channel! We are so happy to have you here and hope that you are having a wonderful week with flowers. Are you asking about Leanne dipping the white hydrangeas in alum? Alum is a pickling spice that you can find at the supermarket, and it helps hydrangeas drink more water so they will be fresh and beautiful. We are so glad that you stopped by to say hello and watch our show. Thank you for visiting us and please come back again soon. Best wishes to you!

  • @sylviaecklund8766

    Dip it in what? Alum? What is the thing you dip in? I could not hear clearly. Thanks.

    • @thongd.5871
      @thongd.5871 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, Alum powder (used for pickling & canning) to help the hydrangeas absorb more water.

      That's an excellent question, Sylvia! Yes, alum is a pickling spice that you can find at the supermarket, and if you dip your hydrangeas in it, it helps them to drink more water so they will stay fresh and beautiful for your designs. We also have it available on our website here: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_17&products_id=1245 Thanks so much for taking the time to watch our show and enjoy this lovely design.
