Fans are a game changer for heat distribution and also helps get rid of condensation buildup. Run one up high one direction and down low the opposite direction. Enjoyed the vid !
Man I love the old school camper, I had a 1969 Nampa Chief 8’ for many years! LOL it’s funny we usually all feel the same as you did when those people pulled up and they were probably thinking the same! Thanks for taking the time to make a video! Cheers
If you want to use a lock during the winter , sock it with automatic transmission fluid. No more problems after . Or put vaseline on the slot part . Hope it helps
Put 2 or 3 drops of motor oil into the lock. It lubes the gears and keep it from freezing. I do the same thing every November for my car locks. I put the oil on the key then stick the key into the door lock and move the key left to right until it moves real freely. Believe me it works.
The best part of this video is when you showed how unsealed your camper is and how uneven the heat was. There's a lot of idiots who hear "Carbon monoxide" and freak out especially when it comes to open flame heat sources. Problem is they fail to realize that it's not the presence of carbon monoxide that kills but it's the complete absence of oxygen but the fact that it's unsealed like that means there's still outside air AKA oxygen which means that you're not dying. Awesome content.
Your video came up as suggested, watched some of your back videos too and saw you kinda dropped off for a minute. Hopefully this is the start of some more regular videos because your videos are chill and cool to watch, keep it up!
Glad to see you back in the woods with Camper. I got to use mine twice this year. Alot going on. Had a guy offer me 1000 bucks for mine on the way deer hunting. Told him Id think about it. Thought about it and Im not selling. Yes its cramped, yes its old but its perfect for what I need.
I learned that lesson as well. I would recommend Master warded locks for outdoor stuff that doesn't need much security. If you want something more weather resistant, Abloy SWP (super weather proof) padlocks are excellent, and because the keyways don't use springs, they are a lot better for bad weather.
Welcome back and Happy New Year. I received my new diesel heater for my truck camper the other day. Been testing it at home and its wonderful. Ready for adventure
Enjoying your videos, just subscribed. Several years ago I worked for the Alabama Department of Conservation and was running the deer checking station for one of our public Wildlife Management Areas. We had a padlock with a hasp similar to your's. One day, a couple of my buddies stopped by to visit and tell all about the great day of hunting that they had while I was working. As they were leaving, I heard some clanking around, but didn't think too much of it until I tried to go out the door. Those sorry rascals had dropped a screwdriver down into the hasp and locked me in! I ended up having to crawl out the window and drop like a rock the 4 feet to the ground below. SMH! So from then on, I always put the lock back in the loop of the hasp and locked it so no one could that trick on me again. Maybe my friends are just meaner than most... LMBO!
@@MountainMatt Love snow camping videos. We don’t get much snow down here, in Alabama. It was in the upper 60s F yesterday. We get cold snaps, but seldom with moisture. 🤷🏻♂️
It's good to see you back Matt I was wondering what was going on with you so my truck camper I put a curtain rod in front of the door and I put a heavy moving blanket like a curtain across the door it keeps it a lot warmer in my place... Happy New Year from New Hampshire USA..
Ayo Matt, just found this channel homie. Bums me out that it’s been a year since your last mountain video, because I’ve watched a few of these so far and they’re super cool. Also, the beanie is 👌. The part just before the squealing teapot though low key had some jump scare vibes 😂, idk why I got scared but 🤷♂️🤷♂️. Also the drone shots you have… Hoooooly. Anyways, I’ll probably catch you in your next rust stream, but hopefully mountain Matt makes a comeback someday 💪💪
At the scene you were cleaning out your skillet, was that your diesel heater I heard in the background? Are they really that noisy? Great video keep up the good work love the winter camping!
@@MountainMatt I read something about putting a pool noodle around it . Would that help ? I have an old 68 camper and about to buy one of those diesel heaters for it in a few days.
Glad to see you back brother...... nice cooking with Matt What make where your rear stairs? Fans or summer time and some insulation Family time is good...stay safe
We had those stairs from our previous camper from around 10 years ago. We just mounted it to this rig I believe they are just generic aluminum scissor steps.
My friend from the UK sent me a care package last year with a bunch of things to try, Yorkshire tea and Lucozade were my favorite part. I can't get Yorkshire tea at the store here but I can order it off Amazon thankfully haha

Putting a small fan in my minivan camper really helped to even out the heat. It gets it off of the ceiling and spreads it around.
Your back!!!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌

Yes I have tried remounting the fuel pump on a few different spots to help with the noise but it's still very loud unfortunately.
