Legendary! You grew up friggin cool dude, I can’t believe you were swapping wheels on that thing. That car has the perfect amount of speed baked in, what a perfect look. Congrats dude, soak it up
Awesome J《☆》My favorite Ranchero year👍🏾🍺🤳My Mom was an ELCamino Gal but she had a Ranchero briefly. That 347 is Bad to the Bone. Congratulations Dad✌🏼😎☯️
A Great Resto/Custom! She Lunges when you get into the secondaries, too! I had a ‘64, and I wish I had another one, they’re an attractive blend of just-right in size and feel. Enjoy your ride!
Sweet!! And your dad did far better than mine on the first stab. Had a 340 6 pak stroked to 408 in my '64 Barracuda. Taking it to town the first time because I parked behind him. Had it rolling in the street, stabbed the throttle and did a instant 180, drove it back onto the grass, got out, got in his car leaving never saying a word. Never tired to say anything about my driving after that either. Hope your dad gets years of enjoyment out of the FALcon.
Sure beats my first car in 76...a 64 falcon station wagon...NOT a chick magnet...but it got me to my milking job and made me enough to get my second car...a 67 GTO for $1,100 bux. in 77.
Sure about that chick magnet? I had a '64 Barracuda with the lay down rear seat, drop down panel into the trunk, 6 feet of lay down room. Several gal friends perfered me borrowing dads '63 Chevy II wagon though.
That is one bad ass car that will put a beating on a lot of cars, they are super light! What kind of 1/4 mile ET’s was this thing running with the 289? Do you know the weight? That thing should run 10 second 1/4 miles with ease, with traction. In high school 1981-82 I drag raced a ‘62 Ranchero with a 289/C4 in west Texas at about 3000’ above sea level and ran 11.80’s keep in mind this was before 5.0’s and a huge aftermarket, it was mostly Ford. It was not street legal and lightened to 2180 lbs. Great Times! I currently have another ‘62 Ranchero that I have done a 5.0 EFI swap on with a T5 tranny. I got it all wired up but it won’t crank...I live near Houston so I am having to wait for the temp and humidity to drop so I can troubleshoot the problem and continue on with the project. An old man trying to relive his glory days.... I have never messed with one, but you can get a 1/4 mile et with a Dragy without an expensive trip to a drag strip. Good luck and keep us updated, looking forward to it!
@@SimpsonsSpeedShop I CAN'T complain that it's WRONG because I used it for my 1st race motor because of money but it did do the job but the MSD definitely has more hit !!! Thanks for the info !!!
I'm not a ford guy but I owned a hi - perf 71 maverick 67 dodge coronet 440 series and a 73 Vega !!!! ALL where good cars !!! The 67 was my high school car !!! Your dad's car is pretty sweet !!!! With slicks it just might challenge your car !!! Definitely lighter and sounds pretty stout !!!! Disappointed NO 1/4 mile passes on record this year !!! What happened ???
@@circletrack7538 small children and no track close to me is why no 1/4 this year. It’s a day ttrip and a ferry ride to get to 1/4 mile 1000$ day. Next year.

Always wanted to build a 63-64 Ranchero in Shelby Style. The Paint with stripes, hood scoop, the wheels, the engine, the suspension.

What a car need more here in Australia
Looks like Sidney out near B.C. ferry terminal and Anacortas ferry terminal. Nice ranchero! Hello from Portugal
Find that is one sweet looking ford. Congratulations on the build. 🎉
Thanks 👍

Glad you enjoy the vid!
Love the car (the hood not so much, screams for a Thunderbolt hood)
yep i agree lose the hood awesome ride!!
Looking good !
You’re killing me. It’s “FALcon” said with the emphasis on “Al” not “all” like you are saying it! It’s not fALL-con dude! Sweet car though
