The Franchise is not going to end, just Nomuras part is, someone from the lead writing team will be the next director. Disney would never let it go, see what I did there.
I feel pretty confident that Nomura will pass the torch and his journal to whoever succeeds him. I don't think Nomura's retirement will be the end of KH, especially given its financial and critical success for both Square and Disney. However that may portend grim tidings for later titles, as they may not have the same heart, and come off as soulless cash grab continuations of a popular property. Still, I think with the fact that KH3 ended the "Xehanort Saga", I can very easily see KH4 and any games after it up through a KH6 being the "Lost Masters Saga," and would be fitting to have a second trilogy as the next arc. The sad part is that with games being so much bigger now, outside the mobile games, we're probably not going to see nearly as much supplementary material, meaning the numbered titles and the mobile game(s) are going to have to do a LOT more legwork to come into the same realm of lore density and intricacy as the Xehanort Saga
Not necessarily. Final Fantasy was still able to put out good games long after Sakaguchi left. I think kingdom hearts can be the same way provided the team behind future projects is just as passionate as Nomura
@@ctc9945 I feel like that's apples and oranges tbh, because all the FF games were disconnected from each other while KH is a throughline narrative? Besides, I said *may* hold grim tidings, not will, and I'm hoping it does well.

That day is still a ways off. The last KH game will probably be KH5, since Nomura is 53 and retirement age in Japan is 60. Assuming the leaks that KH4 will be coming in 2026 are real, that would put the timeline for KH5's release in Nomura's very early 60's.

Personally, I would love it if KH does what Araki did with Jojos' bizarre adventure. We get a final conclusion with the sora and universe we all know and love. Then, a new universe for the future kh sagas but has familiar characters come back as alternate versions so the new team can do something creative without ruining the original universe's story and making it even more complicated. I mean we already have traveling through time and worlds. Going to a different universe and having a new "Sora" start his journey wouldn't be so weird.

There's no way KH4 is going to be the last Kingdom Hearts game. Nomura's got another seven years before he reaches retirement age. The last Kingdom Hearts game will probably be KH5.
Um no. Just because nomura retires doesn't mean kingdom hearts ends. Hes gonna pass his mad writing's to some lucky Apprentice like a keyblade. And hes definitely gonna email or mail just stacks of info to his Apprentice one night after he wakes up in a fever dream about it.
You got me into Kingdom Hearts in the first place Sky. You are a part of my childhood and I've grown to like your content for me, instead of only KH. Keep on going.
I just can’t believe it. I’ve been so loyal to this beautiful game for such a long portion of my life. I have no regrets. I enjoyed every moment of playing every KH game I could experience. I can only thank Nomura and you and so many others for experiencing this special joy. I am truly grateful.
Chill out the franchise ain't goin anywhere, just out of Nomuras hands, Kingdom Hearts ending would be a huge loss for The company and Disney l, realistically on a business standpoint it won't end. It's already almost a Household name
The day Nomura retires in the day when all Kingdom Hearts fans get their Keyblades, go outside and point them into the air and say, "May your heart be your guiding key"
Remember, that line is just The Master of Masters being manipulative. Even with Xigbar says it, it sounds forlorn. I think Xigbar knows the Master is just using him.
To think Kingdom Hearts could reach its conclusion in just a few years is genuinely so sad to me. It genuinely IS existential to think about. This series has influenced me SO MUCH and is SO important to me. It is genuinely my special interest that I could talk about to anyone for hours lol. I know all good things come to an end. But idk what I'll do when that happens. I guess I have a few years to prepare for that. It will for sure be a bittersweet day.
If you are able to go back and replay any of the titles throughout the series, then the series will never get old. It's ok for it to end. Being able to play through the entire series beginning to end is like watching your favorite series of films. It's gonna remain a fan favorite for a long, LONG time. What I hope is down the road we get remakes of the DS games just because gameplay wise they are still worth checking out.
I have been subbed to you and the rest of the key keepers for nearly a decade at this point. KH 1 was one of the first video games I have ever played and it's some of my earliest memories. Hearing I am gonna be in my 30s having accomplished so many of my life goals with kingdom hearts ENDING sent me into the biggest whip lash ever hearing this... I will continue to be on this mans crazy hype train until the end.
Just because nomura retires doesn't mean kingdom hearts will end. Disney is not going to let kingdom hearts die. They had new writers working on missing link.
And even if he might not be hands on with them anymore, they will probably talk to him every once in a while about what he intended for certain parts of lore or character development.
I don't think Disney itself even cares or knows about Kingdom hearts except when it made them money during kh3. I bet they're like "oh look. It's that game that I guess we had and I guess it's making us a lot of money. I completely forgot about that game with the silly anime characters interacting with Goofy and Donald." Like I want 100% think that Kingdom hearts is so solely a square enix thing even though It's owned by Disney. Square is the one that actually makes a story and actually does something with it
@Sebi12345 disney definitely has their hands on kingdom hearts, Square enix wanted freedom to whatever with the worlds but disney said no that why you're basically just playing the movie when u go to a world. Kingdom hearts would also work just fine, like how they took out the final fantasy characters. They would just use original made characters, like sora, riku, the Nobody's, they are the best characters anyway. The disney characters are so lifeless and boring.
@@goblin7372 that's marketing production interference though. Companies usually do that with movies and games ALREADY being made from what I've seen. You're right they do have a large hand in it, but otherwise I feel they wouldn't care
KH1 released a few months before I was born. My older brother got me into it and now im 22 and it is my favorite game/series ever and always will be. The magic of seeing our boy visit all these Disney worlds is just kind of mindblowing. Because of this interview it really made me stop and think that Nomura is almost done. Because of that I have really considered on just being open minded with this new saga with no expectations. I will be patient for KH4 and the next games. It's been a fun ride but we still have more time with him while he is still around.
Just because nomoura is retiring doesn't mean the series is done. There are plenty of writers working on new projects kingdom heart's 4 can take as long as it needs because at the end of it a good game needs effort and time to be good kingdom heart's 3 is a example of that it could of been better but it was rushed whatever the case may be i hope disney doesn't ruin the future of kingdom heart's.
Nemora finishing kh with one game as soras finale. Thatd be one hell of a way to see that man retire. Knowing he made the childhoods of many fans. Hes on par with legends like troyama. Id be glad to see him give us one last hoorah and leave on a high note.
I don't think that the franchise is going to end Yes namora is retiring but however the interviews also did say that he also was working with other writers and as well as other people in the company And plus the series is owned by Disney And knowing Disney I don't think that they would want to get rid of their only video game cash cow left I am fine with him retiring but to say that the franchise is going to end when he leaves is kind of a ridiculous statement Not to mention that chicken bear it to dragon Ball nemoral probably has somebody who is going to take his place after he's gone to have a successor within the company to continue on some of his old IPs Personally I would be happy to see The ending to Sora's character But I think that you could still start the series again with new characters and new Disney settings and locations Look I know it is sad to think that he's going to be leaving square especially since that he's been with the company since the The mid '90s with final fantasy series But at the same time though he's getting old and the fact that he's probably struggling to keep up with his own game series is probably an indicator for him to hang up his keyblade and pass it on He's earned that at this point and whatever is going to happen to the series next that's up to both him and Disney
Either Nomura kicks up his feet or he becomes the next Hayao Miyazaki and keeps coming out of retirement because the people he left in charge can't measure up.
My first game was recoded, not the most loved but it made me more invested into the series. Then played DDD, 358/2 days, 1, 2, 3 and now going back to play the ones i missed. To know that this series is actually coming to an end is mind boggling
We've got plenty of time before Nomura's retirement. He's 53 now. Retirement age in Japan is 60. Assuming KH4 comes out in 2026, that would put the timeline for KH5's release in Nomura's early 60's. KH5 will probably be the end of KH.
Happy to see it end with Nomura retirement. If they want to continue the game they need to end Sora's saga and either make a new character or have The Player be the new main character moving forward.
Is it weird that I don’t? Like I want a satisfying ending, I don’t want the Pokemon treatment. Maybe sometime in the future the series can be rebooted like the FF7 series. But what’s the point if KH is just a series that goes on forever?
@@Atlas92936 fair points. But I’d like to see what direction other directors can take the series. Maybe make it darker? It definitely needs an end but I think there’s still so much that KH has left to offer if done correctly
It is truly an honor to be apart of this community. I’ve been following the kh series since 2002 and I’m now 31 and it’s quite bittersweet to know that kh will soon come to an end. Thank you nomura for the way you impacted my life with your games KH4L
I don’t mind if kh4 is the end kh3 was really lackluster and although it had its moments it really dropped the ball let’s hope this lost masters arc delivers.
kingdom hearts has been apart of my life for all 22 years of it and i’ve been watching you since way back before this channel…crying in the club i love this series
I hope he does something similar to Toriyama did w/ dbs. Works with someone, passes everything he knew onto a young buck, and passes the torch when it’s time to go. Leaving his legacy in the hands of a capable creative, insane person who has the drive to do insane things with the series and elevate it to another level
I just want more Kingdom hearts oriented worlds. Sure The disney worlds are fine but Look at keyblade graveyard, World that never was, Scala ad Caelum. Like those worlds are amazing.
I think he's prepping the next generation of writers and directors. Kingdom Hearts won't die with Nomura's departure. There are still stories to be told that can't be done within the scope of three more games, and I have no doubt there are people at Square and Disney who love this series and want to see it go on.
A lot of people do get bored after they retire and just start working again. Maybe after Nomura retires he'll still rock up to the office to see what everyone's up to. I can definitely see a future where Nomura doesn't see KH to the end. It's possible that Nomura finishes writing the scripts for these games and retires, and leaves everyone else to do it without him being involved. Even though they would be free to change stuff without his consent, I doubt they would because I'm sure they respect his vision.
personally i'm glad this series is coming to an end. i always thought it should have ended at 3. but i'm glad that it didnt. kh has been there all my life. when i was a kid to now. i remember playing the 1.5 and 2.5 remix when they were separate on my ps3. playing bbs... i have some fond memories of it. regardless what i think about 3 (think it was the worst way to end off xehanort) i still love these games. and i think u can't have kh without nomura. it makes sense for him to retire. but chances are he'll still help if kh is going while he's gone. but after that yeah. honestly even if kh ends it's actually not the end. cuz there's gonna be so many fan games, mods, or completely new games indie or triple A using the kh combat system. it's too popular and good NOT to use. the spirit of kh lives on. and even though i don't really have anyone to talk kh with. this game will always use my heart to be my guiding key in life.
Some of my favorite series (Trails and KH), both early 2000's-born, are probably going to end within a few years of each other, too. That's wild. Still got more than a few years on both though, just because the end is in sight doesn't mean its close
Nomura has had some concept of an ending since the first game, he talked about it around the time of Chain of Memories in 2004. I imagine it's changed since then, because even he admitted he had wrote KH2 as something to where it could end neatly if he wanted it too, but considering Quadratum also being a concept, I imagine we haven't seen his final vision just yet. Plus, Sora is a gaming icon now, even without the games, he will continue to be around in other ways. Smash Bros, possibly Fortnite, Sora will continue with all of us in other ways in the stories we create.
The end. As a freshman in highschool I never really got to play a title upon it coming out and actually understanding it and the story. It's tough thinking that I won't get to see many titles come out before the end.
The Master of Masters is the endgame boss and will be revealed to be Sora's dad. "Now son, it's about time you come home. Your mother is worried sick about you. Come along now, before your dinner gets cold."
I always knew KH could possibly get about 3 sagas out of it with Sora. I didn't expect them all to be long like the Nort saga, but to hear this new one could be shorter than I expected + it ending is shocking to me. I could see it being KH4, 2 bridge titles, and then ending with KH5. Honestly I would mind an ending to the Nomura story. There's a gap of maybe 6-7 years and then a new era (brand new story/setup/characters). It could be a totally different worldline. Xehanort has said opening kingdom hearts is basically a brand new refresh that the holder could mold. But with a final ending for good or waiting for new eras, I'd be happy either way
I'm hoping KH4 is like a 20+ hour experience that ties everything into a neat little bow with a definitive ending, with tiny glimpses into a new Keyblade era, wouldnt mind seeing new characters and new worlds mixed with old worlds to give the new hero tales and inspirations of a hero from long before :) Also I hope the world ends as soon as EVERYONE who is able to play KH4 [and/or 5 & 6] would be an ABSOLUTE beautiful way to die :3
I kinda am of the mind that if KH3 tied up the whole story things should've ended there. That being said, I'm excited for the new saga and hope the series gets a satisfying conclusion
Man, kingdom hearts has been part of my life since elementary school, I got ds days as my first game way back when and then literally 2 days ago I finally got my first irl keyblade. So to hear that Nomura is thinking about retiring and that kingdom hearts has an ending in some visible future, it’s really something to think about, knowing that this franchise I’ve always had a foot in at least for the past 12 years give or take might be leaving relatively soon.
Obligatory "KH series ending before GTA 6" comment here. But in all seriousness, I will definitely miss waiting a new KH to come out. Should Nomura retire in a few years, I wish nothing but the best and I want to thank him for the work he has done for the series so far.
I think Disney and Square Enix should continue the franchise after Sora's story ends and Nomura's retirement by rebooting the series. They should keep rebooting the series every 25 to 30 years until the sun explodes, to keep this franchise alive for generations to come.
I hope that after Kingdom Hearts 4 I make more new installments of the Kingdom Hearts sagas with or without Nomura I want Kingdom Hearts to continue living and make new stories, new beginnings like all Final Fantasy sagas, but I don't want Kingdom Hearts to come to a definitive end.
Feeling old now. My favorite art, and games, and everything has had some relation to that man. He’s like Santa clause and I’m finding out Christmas has an end year.
Ever since I lost my PS2 and PS3, I grew homesick from the OG KH games I had. Now I wanna try playing 1.5 & 2.5 together on the PS4. I certainly don't mind starting over. ... Again...
Man I been playing KH games since I was 10 I'm 30 now by the time it ends I'll be 40 or over which is crazy. I'll deff be sad when the time comes. The first story always gets me especially the ending
if and when kingdom hearts DOES truly end end, I wouldn't mind if it ended up being kingdom hearts 5 or 6 considering if we had a satisfying conclusion
As we wait the next 20 years for KH4, I've been keeping myself busy reading a couple of KH3 rewrites on AO3. First of all, Kingdom Hearts III: Re:Written by JCMorrigan and Keys to the Kingdom by MiniJen (incredible author). The first is a rewrite of the game that treats itself like the game in writing and design. The other is much more story-focused and serves as AU/What-if where Xehanort succeeds in getting a little bit of himself in Sora. They are both ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE AAAAAAAAAA- Just thought I'd share! 😊
My Kingdom Hearts fantasy is that Nomura retires after dropping a fantastic Kingdom Hearts MMORPG like FF14. Then just says, 1.0 is everything I wanted and passes the torch to Yoshi P for updates and expansions. That way Kingdom Hearts would live forever.
When the series end roxas will have probably the 2 saddest quotes if said from someone else, “no one would miss me” either said by him or nomura I think that quote would be so much sadder at the end but most of all (and I’m gonna change this quote just a tad bit) “looks like our summer vacation is over” all the time we spent growing to love nomura and his characters, the time we spent trying to overcome the next challenge while having fun, when we look towards the future and don’t see just darkness but a way to penetrate the darkness and see the light, and the time this series has spent teaching us it’s tragic backstory, dark truths and also ways doing it so that we can look at that and see a light that will never die out, we know that sora will stay in our hearts forever, so will roxas, ven, Riku, axel, terra, kairi, xion, auqa, ansem sod, xemnas, young xehanort, xehanort, the organizations, xigbar/luxu, and most of all Nomura, they’re right, “our hearts may be week, and sometimes it might even give in, but deep down we we’ve learned that deep down there’s a light that never goes out!” We will always have a light in our hearts and always remember to nomura, to fans, or to anyone else, may your heart be your guiding key
Ok, i got an idea. I don't know if its a good idea or not. But hear me out. What if Sora's journey not only ends with Nomura, but it also ends with Disney. What if the next "Era" of KH not only has a new MC and director, but also has a new "universe" What if instead of Disney its Shonen Jump. This way the new director wont live in Nomura's shadow, because lets face it, we'd always compare him to Nomura.
Didn't Nomura say that it's not Kingdom Hearts without Sora as the main character? I mean, I know there are games that dont focus on him, but I mean overall. I don't know if it can continue without Nomura. If it did, it should be by someone appointed by Nomura, but even then, I don't know. I also personally don't want the series to end. KH4 and KHML will be the first ganes I will go into blind and a part of the fandom. I dont want them to be the only ones. But, what happens, happens. May your heart be your guiding key 🗝️🫶🏼
It’s odd knowing it’s close to ending I’m a newer fan of the series only started in 2019 my husband has been playing since childhood we’ve bonded over me learning about this series that I’ve come to love so much that I have oathkeeper tattooed (my favorite keyblade) he has oblivion and I know we’re both gonna cry it’s a magical experience learning about KH and all the lore and characters I’ve come to love so dearly in a rather short amount of time compared to some others the thought of an ending is crazy I can’t picture it but every story must close at some point and I hope it’ll end well for now I’ll just enjoy the ride of such an awesome series
I dont really think the series will end it will Probably get a New author and new protagonist which I think gives the chance to explore new ideas with the series I love Nomura and his unique writting style but I feel there are a lot missed Opportunityies that are not tried because the series is stuck with repeating the disney movies 1:1
Kingdom hearts is the first game i have ever played as a 5 year old kid and been hooked ever since it really is sad to hear that KH 4 might be the last one directed fully by nomura i hope they will continue and they probably will since this is disney their flagship videogame but it wont ever be the same
When I finished the very last game and finally quit crying like every grown man should I think imma commit Zantetsuken. Man, it really frightens me thinking about Kingdom Hearts to end. Tried to avoid the thought of it like always but after today? Man.
Surely it won’t end but it will probably go on a long hiatus ( yes even by kh standards it will be long ) but eventually it will come back but in a very different way maybe even they will go the FF route , I really hope Nomura puts all his chips in KH4 and maybe even 5 to go out with a bang it will probably never answer all the questions but give closure to some of the most interesting ones
Finally!!!!! It only took over two decades, please just no more convoluted story, just end it without any loose ends, Kairi and Sora ride off into the sunset. THE END! 🙏
Nomura has had the time to lay out the rest of the story I almost garuntee you there is multiple drafts on which way the story goes so even if he is gone they still gonna mainly base it off his notes
Google says Japanese retirement age is 60. If the employee wishes to continue then it can be expanded to 65. Nomura is seemingly 53 so we may have 7 to 12 years left before he retires.
i don't know about anyone else, but i'm very happy at the idea of the story ending! these games are 50% story driven and i personally would go nuts if we never got to conclude that story! so, for them to be planning on the series' end, i'm very excited and happy about that! after all, they can just remake it later on, that wouldn't be an issue at all. new graphics and gameplay, and either reusing the old voice lines or recasting them in the future. or they can make spin off games. just so long as everyone gets home happy and safe, i'll be content.
When Sora's journey comes to the end, I'm gonna feel like Genie when he get's freed at the end of Aladdin. The shackles break and suddenly... It's done. What happens after, who can say. But I know what I will say when the time comes. "What a journey, you and I have had."
Ending? For me it just started! I only started playing this series when it hit Steam a few months ago. I'm only 18 hours into KH 1. Apparently everything on steam is currently 270 hours? I can't even begin to think about KH 4 or 5 right now.
7 Mainline games and 13 side games. That's just the sort of crazy symbolic thing Nomura would do.
If we consider all of the remakes as the same as the original title, we'd have 8 side games now.
7 pieces of light and 13 pieces of darkness...
I'm calling it right now. Nomura is going to 'retire' the same way as Miyazaki. He'll be back.

Im glad that Ive been able to exist in a time Kingdom Hearts exists. I will be very sad when it eventually ends ❤
Só like they did in Harry potter movies with Dumbledore
@@Fallen69-69 corniest shit i’ve ever read
Kinda cringe
@@rosies69 I’m with you. I winced at that one.
I completely forgot about that game with the silly anime characters interacting with Goofy and Donald."
Like I want 100% think that Kingdom hearts is so solely a square enix thing even though It's owned by Disney.
@@goblin7372 I don't think Disney really cares about Kingdom Hearts series and Nomura is its true soul. So I feel really blue about his retirement.
If Kingdom Hearts 4 or 5 is the final game, I hope there's a happy ending.
Kingdom hearts 4 or 5 will not be the final game. There will be more
@@Themoo_atcows Well that's good. I guess just because Nomura's gonna be retiring, doesn't mean the series will end like that.
I don't think that the franchise is going to end
Yes namora is retiring but however the interviews also did say that he also was working with other writers and as well as other people in the company
And plus the series is owned by Disney
And knowing Disney I don't think that they would want to get rid of their only video game cash cow left
I am fine with him retiring but to say that the franchise is going to end when he leaves is kind of a ridiculous statement
Not to mention that chicken bear it to dragon Ball nemoral probably has somebody who is going to take his place after he's gone to have a successor within the company to continue on some of his old IPs
Personally I would be happy to see The ending to Sora's character
But I think that you could still start the series again with new characters and new Disney settings and locations
Look I know it is sad to think that he's going to be leaving square especially since that he's been with the company since the The mid '90s with final fantasy series
But at the same time though he's getting old and the fact that he's probably struggling to keep up with his own game series is probably an indicator for him to hang up his keyblade and pass it on
He's earned that at this point and whatever is going to happen to the series next that's up to both him and Disney
Either Nomura kicks up his feet or he becomes the next Hayao Miyazaki and keeps coming out of retirement because the people he left in charge can't measure up.
For as long as the series is profitable, new entries will be made regardless of if nomura is involved or not
My first game was recoded, not the most loved but it made me more invested into the series. Then played DDD, 358/2 days, 1, 2, 3 and now going back to play the ones i missed. To know that this series is actually coming to an end is mind boggling
Nomura has actively said there would be no numbered titles without Sora. So I just don't see Kingdom Hearts ending Sora's story before his retirement.
If Nomura passes the torch, anyone can change that rule. Especially if you look at this pattern of cash grabs in the current gaming industry
We've got plenty of time before Nomura's retirement. He's 53 now. Retirement age in Japan is 60. Assuming KH4 comes out in 2026, that would put the timeline for KH5's release in Nomura's early 60's. KH5 will probably be the end of KH.
I had no idea a game can have an ending, this makes me sad
Happy to see it end with Nomura retirement. If they want to continue the game they need to end Sora's saga and either make a new character or have The Player be the new main character moving forward.
I want to see him pass the torch to someone and keep KH going
Is it weird that I don’t? Like I want a satisfying ending, I don’t want the Pokemon treatment. Maybe sometime in the future the series can be rebooted like the FF7 series. But what’s the point if KH is just a series that goes on forever?
@@Atlas92936 fair points. But I’d like to see what direction other directors can take the series. Maybe make it darker? It definitely needs an end but I think there’s still so much that KH has left to offer if done correctly
Honestly I think it needs to realistically three should have been the end in my opinion
I don't. I want a definitive ending.
@@dannybermudez563that's the thing though they might not do it right
I don't want this series to end 😢
Thank you, everyone.
It is truly an honor to be apart of this community. I’ve been following the kh series since 2002 and I’m now 31 and it’s quite bittersweet to know that kh will soon come to an end. Thank you nomura for the way you impacted my life with your games KH4L
Cant wait for sora to lose his arm and eye on kh4 and khV will be his search for revenge
Maybe it was Fate I got into Kingdom Hearts when Summer Vacation started now my Summer Vacation is ending…
When Nomura retires they have to throw a party for him in a Disney cruise or smth
Imagine! In the final battle of all of Kingdom Hearts, every world Sora’s been to goes to Sora’s World to help him battle a giant army of heartless!
May Your Hearts Be Your Guiding Key👑💜
I hope he does something similar to Toriyama did w/ dbs. Works with someone, passes everything he knew onto a young buck, and passes the torch when it’s time to go. Leaving his legacy in the hands of a capable creative, insane person who has the drive to do insane things with the series and elevate it to another level
I just want more Kingdom hearts oriented worlds. Sure The disney worlds are fine but Look at keyblade graveyard, World that never was, Scala ad Caelum. Like those worlds are amazing.
@@fat2slow frrrr my favourite worlds are the disney ones
I think he's prepping the next generation of writers and directors. Kingdom Hearts won't die with Nomura's departure. There are still stories to be told that can't be done within the scope of three more games, and I have no doubt there are people at Square and Disney who love this series and want to see it go on.
I'll miss sora
But I Won't
KH4 is a beginning of a new arc, its the "Lost Master" arc. KH wont be ending anytime soon.
But with a final ending for good or waiting for new eras, I'd be happy either way
I'm hoping KH4 is like a 20+ hour experience that ties everything into a neat little bow with a definitive ending, with tiny glimpses into a new Keyblade era, wouldnt mind seeing new characters and new worlds mixed with old worlds to give the new hero tales and inspirations of a hero from long before :)
Also I hope the world ends as soon as EVERYONE who is able to play KH4 [and/or 5 & 6] would be an ABSOLUTE beautiful way to die :3
I kinda am of the mind that if KH3 tied up the whole story things should've ended there. That being said, I'm excited for the new saga and hope the series gets a satisfying conclusion
I mean it kind of did. It left some plat hooks for later games, but so did KH2. And people call that a conclusion as well.
@@Crafty_boy70fr. Like aqua, terra, and ventus was still lost
They also said it was a saga so we have at least 3 games coming if not 4 with the missing link
They didn't even explain it
I doubt it, as he wouldn’t compromise his vision
Definitely not ending
Sora’s story yes. But the overall franchise ending? Not gonna happen
Someone will pick it up and make money on it
I mean, Nomura said quite a long while ago that he had the final scene of the series in mind
Bruh I would love an ending that hits as hard as kh 2🥲
Obligatory "KH series ending before GTA 6" comment here.
But in all seriousness, I will definitely miss waiting a new KH to come out.
Should Nomura retire in a few years, I wish nothing but the best and I want to thank him for the work he has done for the series so far.
Okay but legitimately we're getting GTA6 before KH4. GTA6 is slated for a 2025 release. KH4 is (allegedly) slated for a 2026 release.
Bro I’m going to cry for so long because kingdom hearts was the first video game I’ve ever played
I think Disney and Square Enix should continue the franchise after Sora's story ends and Nomura's retirement by rebooting the series. They should keep rebooting the series every 25 to 30 years until the sun explodes, to keep this franchise alive for generations to come.
Wow
We’re such a small community on TH-cam
If it's ending they better awnser what's in the box
Kh4 is his lifelong want for versus 13.
I hope that after Kingdom Hearts 4 I make more new installments of the Kingdom Hearts sagas with or without Nomura
I want Kingdom Hearts to continue living and make new stories, new beginnings like all Final Fantasy sagas, but I don't want Kingdom Hearts to come to a definitive end.
Feeling old now. My favorite art, and games, and everything has had some relation to that man. He’s like Santa clause and I’m finding out Christmas has an end year.
if kingdom heart does end i hope goes out on a high note
They are both ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE AAAAAAAAAA-
Just thought I'd share! 😊
The fans be doing such a good job that they help the developers do theirs 😅 that's beautiful
I agree Kingdom hearts should end with namoora 👏🏽if they continue without himI will be upset 💯
What if the next "Era" of KH not only has a new MC and director, but also has a new "universe"
What if instead of Disney its Shonen Jump.
This way the new director wont live in Nomura's shadow, because lets face it, we'd always compare him to Nomura.
Not only are there more animes than Disney movies, but we'd also have a more mature store, or at least the possibility of one.
See. To me, the funny is I just wrapped up Birth By Sleep Final Mix on stream, for the time ever, this morning. I finished it and this story broke.
When he retires, I hope the people at square go to nomura and ask for his advice or direction for the series
I'm going to be so SAD GOODBYE FOREVER SORA I WILL GREATLY MISS YOU!!!!!!!.

I dont really think the series will end it will Probably get a New author and new protagonist which I think gives the chance to explore new ideas with the series
I love Nomura and his unique writting style but I feel there are a lot missed Opportunityies that are not tried because the series is stuck with repeating the disney movies 1:1
I hope along with KH , Nomura can give us closure at the very least on FFv13
When Sora's journey comes to the end, I'm gonna feel like Genie when he get's freed at the end of Aladdin. The shackles break and suddenly... It's done. What happens after, who can say.
But I know what I will say when the time comes. "What a journey, you and I have had."
The day kingdom hearts ends is the day my heart will break🥺
The way I see it, Nomura’s retirement means the end of Sora’s journey. But Disney will find a way to keep the series going.
Ending? For me it just started! I only started playing this series when it hit Steam a few months ago. I'm only 18 hours into KH 1. Apparently everything on steam is currently 270 hours? I can't even begin to think about KH 4 or 5 right now.
May your heart be your guiding key ❤️🔥❤️🔥
