What is the scariest bridge in the United States??
Several other major bridges accommodate Gephyrophobia, such as the Michigan's Mackinaw Straights Bridge and some others, with free driving services. It is amazing to see a big burly truck driver cowering in fear as you take him across the Mackinaw (200 feet above MSL). I too, do not like heights such as tall skyscrapers, but high bridges and flying do not bother me. my favorite is this one high rail bridge in New Orleans, the bridge is exactly the width of the track and you swear the train will roll off ... 😁

Me too. My dad used to cross it every day on his way to work. He worked on the shipyards as a welder for 6 months back in 1983.

Too funny - I never had any issues with the Bay Bridge until 2 years ago. Now I have to take a Xanax lol. They do still offer a service to drive you over, it's like $40. The one in Virginia was, may still be, the longest tunnel in the world. It's a bridge and tunnel.

I've never been on it, but I could imagine the Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys might be scary, too. I definitely would not want my car to break down or have a flat tire on that bridge. I also picture Arnold Schwarzenegger blowing up the portion of the bridge in True Lies just to stop the terrorist.

@PhilipTamorria But for real, I think people might be scared of that bridge not because of height, it's because of non-stop distance But at the same time, driving from Miami to Key West while admiring the views of the Atlantic Ocean would be nice.

The Chesapeake bay bridge is number one, followed by the bay bridge at number 2. Its not the bridges itself, its the other non drivers around you on the bridge. Especially Chesapeake it goes over and under. When under its 1v1 a head on collision under you are beyond done. When you are over the water like bay bridge if you wreck and fly off, say bye bye. Especially if your unconscious.
Yeah, both of those situations sound terrible 💯💯
