  • A serious look at being BIBLICAL about LEADERSHIP. This is the 2nd part in a 2 part series. The church needs godly, biblical leaders. We can't BE that without knowing what it LOOKS like. If we aren't careful we will adopt worldly standards for leadership but if we simply follow what scripture says we will be able to safely stand before God and give account for how we lead others.

I've been going through these videos in my attempt to educate myself about God, and I can't say how much I appreciate how God has worked through you Mr. Mike

Great insight Mike, this is the kind of stuff I would not really know about as a former Catholic.. what should I expect of a pastor and what do the pastors of the body of Christ think about and how should it be? Thank you.

I can't remember where but he said from what he has read, women should not be an elder/church leader but they are allowed to teach men

Very interesting, I do think it is a mistake to say that there are only two types of leader - deacons and elders. I'm not sure that deacons would be classed as 'leaders', though they have clear role. Also there is no mention of either apostles (which I know you don't think are for today, but are mention in the New Testament - they are the ones that appoint elders) or overseers/bishops.

The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy and to Titus, giving them instructions of what to look for in an elder and a deacon, which they were to appoint.
Neither of them were apostles, but were pastors/elders themselves.

Have you not worked out Mike how many receive a crown and how many christens have been and gone in two thousand years?
