My 2009 Cayman S is in the body shop right now for the same job. We are awaiting the left rear quarter panel to arrive from Germany 3-4 weeks out. My car is a dedicated track car with no interior to worry about. This is so timely, Thank you for posting this.
Great content, I have done this repair to a Cayman gen 2, it took me significantly longer to complete than you but the effort was well worth it. Keep up the good work dude. #BringOnThePorsches

Looking forward to more upcoming Porsche content! I have a 997.2 911 Turbo S that's currently at a highly reputable manufacturer/dealer approved repair facility after a deer ran into the side of it. I really enjoy seeing how you do the repairs, the process involved and the attention to detail. If I weren't so far away, I'd be more than happy to have had my car repaired at your facility!

Thanks for the video. I have an almost identical damage on my Cayman. Question. Do you know if the gen2 rear bumper fits with the gen1 car (2005-2008)? I'm aware that the lights are different shapes, just asking about the fitting/mounting of the rear bumper. Thanks.

I love the Porsches! It’s been too long since you did that excellent front end repair on the black GT2. Great tips on how to accurately scribe the panel from the off cuts and how to double up on the join area. Really looking forward to the welding.

You're probably better off keeping on fixing cars made from papier-mâché like the Ferrari(s), easier to replace the quarter. This one looks like a hell of a job! Hopefully it's worth fixing.
