I love to read and I love to sew so you have just become my new muse 🤗. I love this tutorial. I just tossed my old tablet case so I will have to make this asap. Thanks for sharing.
You could probably use a thin cutting board. They sell some cheap ones at the dollar store typically. Depending on the strength you may need to double up. But they would be washable. Just maybe air dry so they don’t melt. 🥴
I love this project..Working on it as i type but i made a mistake somewhere along the way. Where the piping (C) and piece (F) after matching all pieces those to pieces aren't coming out even..I'm having to much left on F. What did i do wrong?
Made my own piping and the piece left from that is to short to connect when putting all the two side together that complete project for turning....What did i do wrong..sad Thank for your quick respone..I love your project so much.@@TheLiterarySewist
Your tablet cover is cuuute!
Why thank you! Sometimes it’s handy to hoard the pretty fabrics. ;-)

Omg! I just realized we have the same sewing machine too! Twinsies…
Yay! I love meeting new people with the same interests! So sorry for the ridiculously delayed response! Did you get a chance to make one yet?
brilliant idea.
Thank you! It’s one of my most used projects!
Where do I purchase your iron from, please. Love your work. Very cute.
Beautiful - I can make that 😊
What an awesome idea!!!
Thanks! I’d love to see you make one!
Great video!
Thank you! Have you been able to make one?
This is great. You explained the project v well. Do you know of a way to make this washable, a sub for card board?

This is great!! I only ever find the horizontal holders but I use my tablet vertically all the time. I have to make one now!
I can’t wait to see it!
Thank you 🤩
You’re welcome!

Are you using store bought piping or did you make your own? If it’s your own, did you cut the fabric on the bias?

Amazingly
How do you make piping?
Funny you should ask… How To Make Your Own Piping (Never Buy Ready Made Again!)

The width of piping?
You’ll want at least 3/8” wide.
Why does it say to cut five pieces when there are six to sew together. What am I missing?
Because you will create the 6th panel with smaller pieces to create the section that stabilizes your tablet. Does that make sense?
with all that trouble... why not put some protection in it? As in radiation shield fabrid.
Great idea! If you try it out with those materials I would love to see the finished project!
Wow .. that is awesome .. too many pieces for my little brain … can you make me one … please … just kidding …
HA! I actually understand this! I debated making this a video because it was ALOT the figure out! But it was so worth it!
